This paper reviews the concept and structure of Virtual Instruments and the application of VB6.0 to Virtual Instruments. As an example, an acquisition and procession apparatus of EEG signals based on VB6.0 and virtual instruments is introduced in detail.

EEG feedback therapy has some value in mental disease treatment. This article designs an EEG feedback system with complete function and good performance based on virtual instruments technology, and brings out project of hardware and software to develop the system. Prototype of the system is made and has some effect of clinic application in mental disease?

This paper introduces the hardware of data acquisition system based on LabVIEW platform, i.e. the system for data acquisition and control. The system is composed of the units for signal selection, programmable magnification, filtration, restriction, and A/D and D/A conversion circuits. With the system, the following can be available including eight-channel low-frequency signals, eight options on programmable magnification, 1000Hz low-pass filter, 50Hz power-frequency trap, and A/D and D/A conversion.
