RESUMEN

Abstract Individuals with autism spectrum disorder may present social-communicative and behavioral deficits. Recently, research on treatment and diagnosis has shifted its focus to the application of new tech nologies. Among them is virtual reality, which guarantees a high sense of realism to the experience and allows the implementation of a virtual agent that facilitates the use of the application. In social skills interventions, it has been mostly chosen to implement a virtual agent with a human appearance. Virtual humans guide the user-system interaction through the use of verbal and nonverbal language. They can be equipped with responsiveness: the ability to provide responses to the user based on data recorded during the use of the technology. Responsiveness is functional when the goal is to create an interaction similar to that of everyday life, as it allows for behavioral responses and, at a more sophisticated level, vocal responses. Considering virtual agents capable of holding a conversation with the user, to date three different methods have been implemented that make communication more or less realistic. This brief review proposes a synopsis of relevant virtual humans' features and highlights some key ASD research areas wherein virtual humans are implemented for diagnosis and treatment. A total of 11 studies were selected and their analysis was summarized into 7 main categories. Finally, the clinical and technological implications of the results found were discussed.

Digital intelligent hepatobiliary surgery has evolved over decades. It has experienced an evolution course from digital virtual human technology to the establishment of a quality-controlled and homogeneous three-dimensional visualization system for precision diagnosis and treatment of diseases, from three-dimensional visualization to the clinical transformation of digital intelligent technology and changes in the diagnosis and treatment model, from empirical diagnosis of diseases to the application of deep learning for the intelligent diagnosis and treatment of diseases, from empirical surgery to real-time multi-modal image guidance during surgery, and from the morphological diagnosis of tumors to accurate diagnosis from molecular imaging.During the whole process, only through continuous innovation in research, theory and technology can the "life" of digital intelligent surgery be endowed with new vitality. In the future, the definition of tumor boundary from the molecular and cellular levels and the early diagnosis and treatment of liver tumor through the functional visualization of key molecules will have significant clinical value for changing the prognosis of liver cancer. In addition, in order to realize intelligent navigation for hepatectomy and break through the technical bottleneck, it is of great clinical significance to develop an intelligent robot real-time navigation hepatectomy system with automatic navigation technology, machine learning intelligent planning technology and multimodal image fusion technology. This provides unprecedented opportunities and challenges for the development of digital intelligent hepatobiliary surgery.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the reliability of patient pain drawings using a 3-dimensional (3D) virtual human body system. METHOD: Pain drawings were collected from thirty-four patients with various types of musculoskeletal pain. On the first clinic visit, patients were instructed to draw in their pain areas on a diagram depicting the body (P1). The examining physiatrist, blinded to the patients drawing, also drew in the pain areas on a separate diagram based on thorough history taking (D). After 2 to 9 days without treatment, patients repeated their pain drawings (P2). A second physiatrist input each of the pain drawings into thePain Chart System (PCS), for comparison of pain distribution sites and areas among the three drawings. The weighted-sum of comparison algorithms was calculated for similarity determinations between drawings. RESULTS: The similarity values between P1 and P2, and P1 and D were 0.63+/-0.18 (mean+/-S.D.) and 0.62+/-0.18 (mean+/-S.D.), respectively, reflecting a high reliability of pain drawings. CONCLUSION: High test-retest and inter-individual reliability of successive pain drawings suggest that pain drawings may be a useful tool to describe the painful sites.

RESUMEN

Digitized Virtual Human is a new scientific name for most of us, so it is necessary to elucidate its scientific meanings, general situation, research actuality and future prospect. Remarkable benefits have been obtained from Visible Human Project (VHP) in the United States of America, and it has progressed into the research field concerning virtual physical human and physiome. It is a cutting edge scientific field combining life science and information technology in research on visible, virtual and controllable human body. There is an immense amount of indepth theories and technologies to be explored before it is practically mature. Whereas it is very valuable for medical research. Problems in regard to Virtual Chinese Human (VCH) were discussed in 174th Xiang Shan Scientific Conference which was held in 2001, and then the research on VCH formally inargurated in China. The research project has been in rapid progress, and up to now, there are already four datasets reported in our country since then. Image processing and virtual reality technology applied in Visible Human have been in sound development. In the future research, we should pay attention to the quality of dataset and the pertinence of application.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the evidence for the morphologic comparability between the meridians and interstitial connective tissues in the lower limb with auto-marked and 3D-Rebuilding technology. Methods First, the muscles were extracted and noise was eliminated; With edge detection a convex hull of the muscles edge was found; The interstitial connective tissue points were marked in the cross section images of left leg from the digital dataset of Virtual Chinese Human-Male1(VCH-M1).Finally,the auto-marked images were reconstructed with 3D-Doctor. Results The reconstructed meridians in the lower limb auto-marked with computer procedures tallied basically with the meridians and collaterals recorded in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) illustrative graphics. Conclusion Having the advantages of digital anatomic study on acupuncture points earlier and mature 3D-Rebuilding techniques, the department of Anatomy of South Medical University cooperated with the Department of Scientific Calculation and Computer Application of Sun Yat-sen University to devise a set of computer programs which could be used to AutoMark interstitial connective tissues in Virtual Human lower limbs and then reconstruct virtual fascia meridians which corresponded with the TCM records. This method avoided man-made error to a certain degree in the process of recognizing and rebuilding of fascias. The study is significant to explore the morphologic comparability between the meridians and collaterals and interstitial connective tissues in human lower limb.
