RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the effect of Yiqi-Jiedu decoction combined with mesalazine sustained release granules for the patients with ulcerative colitis (UC).Methods A total of 93 UC patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into control group (46 cases) and study group (47 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with mesalazine sustained release granules orally. The treatment group added Yiqi-Jiedu decoction on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for 2 months. The level of plasma thromboxane B2 (TXB2),6-keto-prostaglandin F1α (6-Keto-PGF1α) and serum CRP,IL-1 and TNF-α were measured by ELISA,and the clinical effect was evaluated. Results The total effective rate was 95.7% (45/47) in the treatment group and 78.3% (36/46) in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups (x2=6.323,P=0.012).After treatment, the plasma TXB2 level in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (601.14 ± 13.31 pg/ml vs.780.33 ± 16.54 pg/ml;t=57.619,P<0.01),and the plasma 6-Keto-PGFlα level was significantly higher than that in the control group (84.04 ± 1 1.39 pg/ml vs.69.48 ± 10.21 pg/ml;t=6.487,P<0.01).After treatment, the level of CRP,IL-1 and TNF-α in the treatment group was significantly lower than those in the control group (t=15.457,7.006 and 17.434,respectively,all Ps<0.01).Conclusions The Yiqi-diedu decoction combined with mesalazine sustained release granules can reduce the level of serum inflammatory cytokines in UC patients, reduce the level of plasma TXB2,and increase the level of plasma 6-Keto-PGF 1 α,so as to improve the clinical effectiveness.

RESUMEN

Aim To elucidate the therapeutic effect of ginsenosides, berberine and jasminoidin after given a-lone or treatment with combination on the focal cerebral ischemia rats and study the compatibility mechanism. Methods We determined 12 endogenous amino acids in serum of rats after cerebral ischemia over 12 hours with RRLC-QQQ to evaluate the integrated role of YQJD at the dosage of 25 mg·kg-1 and 5 mg·kg-1 . Generally accepted methods were used, including be-havior test, One-Way AVONA, PLS-DA, as well as PCA to evaluate the injury induced by focal cerebral is-chemia. Results The score of neurological deficits and the level of five amino acids, namely Glu, Asp, Met, Hcy, Phe in the combination of ginsenosides, berberine and jasminoidin group in the dosage of 25 mg ·kg-1 and 5 mg·kg-1 significantly decreased (P<0. 05, P<0. 01) compared to those of model group. For another, the largest contribution group in the three principal components of PC1 , PC3 , PC4 at the dosage of 25 mg/kg and the six principal components PC1 ~PC5, PC7 in 5 mg·kg-1 was the combination of gin-senosides, berberine, jasminoidin group. Conclusions The results suggest that the efficacy of the combina-tion of ginsenosides, berberine and jasminoidin is su-perior to the combination of two or any single compo-nent, which can significantly improve the metabolic disorder of the endogenous amino acid after cerebral is-chemia. And it could be speculated that ginsenosides may play a more important role than berberine and jas-minoidin in regulating the level of amino acid metabo-lism.

RESUMEN

Background and purpose:The development of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in rat and transformation of embryo nasophryngeal epithelia induced by N,N'-dinitrosopiperazine (DNP) were interfered by Yiqijiedu formular medicine via inhibiting telomerase. We investigated the impact of Yiqijiedu formula on precancerous lesion of nasal and nasopharyngeal epithelia in TgN (p53mt-LMP1) / HT mice induced by DNP and on its expression level of c-jun and p16 genes. Methods:The fourth generation TgN (p53mt-LMP1) / HT mice aged 5 months were randomly divided into 2 groups:(1)TgN(p53mt-LMP1)/HT cancerous lesion-inducing group (group A) was treated by normal saline with 15ml/kg, and Chinese traditional medicine treating group (group B) was treated by Yiqijiedu formular drug with 12.91 g/(kg?d). C57BL/6J wild-type mice were chosen as negative control group (group C) treated by normal saline with 15ml/kg. Epithelial tissue samples were taken from nasal cavity and nasopharyngnx of mice respectively for pathohistological evaluation by H-E staining procedures, and expression level of c-Jun and p16 in these tissue sampleswere determined by immunohistochemical methods and western blot. Results:The occurrence rates of precancerous lesions in nasal and/or nasopharyngeal epithelia in Group C, A and B were 0, 90% and 10% respectively (P
