Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) belongs to the category of "consumptive disease" in TCM, and its occurrence is based on "internal deficiency" of the body causing by the tumor. Its nature is intermingled deficiency and excess. Its pathogenesis is the deficiency of qi, blood, yin and yang and zang-fu viscera dysfunction caused by disorders of "rise and fall of middle qi" and kidney origin depletion. The theory of "treating overstrain syndrome with warming methods" originates from Huang Di Nei Jing, which proposes that warming methods are the basic methods of treating consumptive disease. Therefore, starting from the cause and pathogenesis of CRF, this article sorted out the theoretical origin of "treating overstrain syndrome with warming methods", and discussed the clinical application of warming methods for the treatment of CRF combining with modern clinical research, with the purpose to provide references for clinical practice.

Application of cream formula in treatment of severe heart failure / 中国中药杂志

Cream formula has been mostly used to treat deficiency syndrome. Currently,it has been used to recuperate the body,promote health against aging,and prevent and treat chronic disease. In modern medicine,there are only treatment concepts and methods of diseases,but lack of concepts of " deficiency syndrome" and " restoring deficiency". The concepts of " deficiency syndrome" and " restoring deficiency" could effectively supplement and improve the diagnosis and treatment scheme of some modern diseases. Refractory heart failure,dilated cardiomyopathy,ischemic cardiomyopathy,and valvular heart disease belong to the traditional category of " consumptive disease". The cream formula with the efficacy of restoring deficiency can not only alleviate symptoms and improve the quality of life,but also improve the structure and function of the heart,reduce the dosage of diuretics and the number of hospitalizations,and achieve the purpose of secondary prevention in the treatment of severe heart failure,dilated cardiomyopathy,ischemic cardiomyopathy and valvular heart disease. The cream formula for treating chronic heart failure include Shenqi Pills,Zhenwu Decoction,Yougui Pills,Wuling Powder,Linggui Zhugan Decoction,Danggui Shaoyao Powder,Lizhong Decoction,Buzhong Yiqi Decoction,Guipi Decoction,Yupingfeng Powder,Guizhi Decoction. Long-term administration of cream formula could not only resist aging,but also play an irreplaceable role in the secondary prevention of acute and critical diseases.

Compatibility law of Astragali Radix formulae and molecular mechanism of core herbal pair “Astragali Radix-Angelica Sinensis” / 中草药

Objective: To screen out the molecular mechanism of core herbal pair “Astragali Radix-Angelica Sinensis” for treating consumptive disease by using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System (TCMISS) and network pharmacology. Methods: The prescriptions and commonly used compatibility combinations containing Astragali Radix, and their main treatment of diseases were excavated from TCMISS database, and the core compatibility of “Astragali Radix-Angelica Sinensis” against consumptive disease was illustrated. The herb-ingredients-targets network was constructed through network pharmacology referring to Batman-TCM, GeneCards, OMIM, and so on. Meanwhile, the topology, cluster analysis, GO, and KEGG pathways analysis of the targets were performed. Results: TCMISS database contained totally 459 prescriptions containing Astragali Radix involving 641 herbs. “Astragali Radix-Angelica Sinensis” was the core compatibility for the treatment of consumptive disease, which was consistent with ancient record and clinical medication. The results also showed that the process of immune response, oxidative stress, and signal transduction were its mainly molecular mechanism, by adjusting the pathways in cancer, PI3K-Akt signaling pathway to play its treating consumptive disease effect. Conclusion: The paper revealed the molecular mechanism of “Astragali Radix-Angelica Sinensis”, and provided theoretical basis and reference for the follow-up study of Astragali Radix and its prescriptions.

Discussion on the Experiences in Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment of Acute Leukemia from Chief Physician Xia Xiaojun / 浙江中医药大学学报

Objective]To explore the experiences in syndrome differentiation and treatment of acute leukemia from chief physician Xia Xiaojun. [Metheod] Learning my teacher diagnosing the disease, I refer to literature and combine with the study to summarize and introduce my teacher's clinical experiences and academic point of view in treatment of acute leukemia from the etiology and pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation, treatment, prescriptions and so on. [Results]Teacher Xia thinks that the emphasis of acute leukemia is deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality.The treatment is replenishing qi and blood,enforcing spleen and nourishing kidney and detoxication and activating blood stasis.Weighing the illness samples priorities and distinguishing between primary and secondary so as to improve the curative effect.[Conclusion]Teacher Xia bases on the progress of acute leukemia in different stages of syndrome characteristics,combines traditional Chinese with western medicine and finds the Huisheng Decoction series hebal medicine for treatment according to syndrome differentiation.The clinical curative effect is remarkable and the knowledge is worthy of our further in-deep learning.

Experience of Consumptive Disease Treating Analysis of the Gushi Yijing / 浙江中医药大学学报

[Objective]To explore the consumptive disease treating experience in Gushi Yijing, written by Gu Songyuan who lived in the Qing Dynasty. [Methods]By studying consumptive disease related content in the book, discussing and summing up the consumptive disease treating experience. [Results] On the basis of pointing out seven kinds of error method that doctor treating consumptive disease at that time, Gu Songyuan put forward the opinion that consumptive disease was usual y caused by the internal injury of Zang and Fu organs which resulted into Yin deficiency as the main pathogenesis. The article contained other details as fol ows: the basic symptoms of consumptive disease of the five internal organs, three main therapeutic methods on treatment of consumptive disease, the preference of nourishment combined drugs with food, habit of using some sweet and cold durgs which can clear heat, the use of flesh and blood of sentient beings and so on. So the key idea of this article focused on the method of nourishing Yin to enrich Jing and blood which could cure the consumptive disease effectively.[Conclusion]Gu Songyuan inherited predecessor ’s theory, analysed the etiology of consumptive disease of the five internal organs, pointed out Yin deficiency is the main pathogenesis, and then put forward the therapeutic method, which has some medical knowledge on modern clinic.

A Clinical studying on the different death ethic caused by acute severe disease and malignant consumptive disease / 中国医学伦理学

A c linical study is carried out by the death of acute severe disease and malignant consumptive disease.Results show that the cases of death of acute severe diseases and last salvage are far more than those of malignant consumptive diseases.Moreover,the relations bear more mental pains caused by death of acute severe diseases than by malignant consumptive diseases.
