RESUMEN

Mammalian cell defense mechanisms are constantly evolving in response to increasing endogenous and exogenous oxidative stress factors. In recent years, as research has deepened, nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) has been hailed as a "star" molecule in antioxidant damage defense. Billions of dollars have been spent internationally on developing targeted activators or inhibitors. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is the most common form of sleep breathing disorder in clinical practice. Oxidative stress is one of its main pathological mechanisms and is closely related to target organ damage in the heart, brain, lungs, kidneys, and other systems. Recent research has revealed the mechanistic relationship of the Nrf2 pathway in OSA complications, and some natural Nrf2 activators have demonstrated emerging therapeutic effects in animal experiments. However, the activation mode and effect pathway of Nrf2 in different target organs of OSA have not been clarified. Therefore, this article reviews the research progress of the Nrf2 pathway in OSA and its complications, to deepen understanding of the mechanism of OSA complications and provide a potential treatment strategy.

RESUMEN

Objective To analyze the depression status and its associated factors of residents in Anting Town of Shanghai. Methods By adopting a multi-stage random sampling method, 2 500 people were selected from among the residents in Anting Town.Questionnaires were independently completed by the residents surveyed and a total of 2 498 valid questionnaires were collected. The depression module for Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) was used to evaluate depression symptoms.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to analyze the depression status and its associated factors. Results The detection rate of depression symptoms was 4.60% and the main symptom was light depression.Lack of vitality, eating disorders, sleep disorders and loss of enjoyment were among the most frequently-selected items in the univariate evaluation for the depression status. The results of univariate analyses indicated that age, educational level, marital status, self-evaluated health status and average(per person) family monthly income were the factors associated with the depression status. The results of multivariateanalyses indicated that self-evaluated health status and average(per person) family monthly income were the main associated factors. Conclusion The prevalence of depression status for the residents in Anting Town is relatively low.Emphases should be focused on the residents with poor health condition and with the average(per person) family monthly income below 2 000 RMB yuan.

RESUMEN

@#Objective To estimate the risk factors of fall happening in the old inpatient of the department of psychiatry and make up preventing measures. Methods 128 old inpatient(36 male cases and 92 female cases, whose age were older than 60) were surveyed. All of the patients were evaluated for risk factors and were interfered by safe nursing and follow-up in duration of hospital stay and in one year post-discharge in order to prevent the occurrence of accident fall. Results Of the 128 investigation patients there were 49 patients(38.3%) who had fall history in the past year. And the female falling patients were 39,while the male falling patients were 10.There were no significant statistical difference between the male and female cases(P>0.05).Of the 128 investigation patients there were 2 fall patients(1.6%) after 1 year safe nursing interference(P<0.001).The risk factors found by Logistic analysis were non-cooperation,poor action ability, blurred vision and taking antipsychotic drug. Conclusion The risk ratio of old inpatient of the psychiatric department is high. The accident of fall should be prevented efficiently.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE To study the risk factors of neurosurgical postoperative intracranial infection.METHODS Totally 5405 patients who had a neurosurgical operation from 1996 to 2003 in our department were chosen(172(cases) with intracranial infection). Many risk factors were studied retrospectively,A data-base was set up with EXCEL,and Logistic regression was selected to analyze the factors which might cause infection.RESULTS The(analysis) of 5405 cases revealed that infection rate was closely related to the operation durations,CSF fistulae,(ventricle) drainage, the insertion of tubes, the approach to the post fossa, the complication from diabetes mellitus(DM),and open(craniocerebral) injuries. While had little effect of sex, age, the season, longer application of hormones before the operation, preoperative diseases, and longer application of antibiotics before or after the operation.(CONCLUSIONS) To decrease the infection rate, according the clinical experience, the operation should be finished as soon as possible, the suture should be done completely to prevent CSF fistulae, and the duration of the ventricle drainage should be controlled strictly.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE To study the correlated factors in acquired infection of liver cirrhosis and offer more reliable theory of treatment for clinic. METHODS The liver cirrhosis history of 302 cases was retrospectively analyzed and reviewed. RESULTS From them 43 cases acquired infection during hospitalization, with 61 case-times of infection, the rate of hospital acquired infection was 14.2%, the rate of case-times of infection was 20.20%. Nineteen cases were died and the mortality rate was 44.19%, Among the 259 non-infected patients only 5 cases were died, the mortality rate was 1.93%, the difference was significant (P
