RESUMEN

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a kind of joint disease characterized by progressive degeneration of articular cartilage, synovitis and pain. Its pathogenesis is not yet completely clear. Generally, it is believed that age, sex, obesity, trauma, inflammation, genetic susceptibility and other mechanical and biological factors together lead to the degradation and synthetic coupling imbalance of cartilage cells, extracellular matrix and subchondral bone. In recent years, signaling pathway has become a hot spot in the research of KOA chondrocyte proliferation and apoptosis, and the research of signal pathway in the pathogenesis and targeted therapy of KOA also began. It usually involves the expressions of cytokines, relevant genes and proteins in KOA chondrocyte. These researches mainly focus on the proliferation and apoptosis of chondrocytes, the synthesis and degradation of extracellular matrix, and the sclerosis of subchondral bone. More studies focus on p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK) signaling pathway. Literatures show that p38 MAPK signaling pathway can regulate the proliferation and apoptosis of chondrocytes, maintain the balance of extracellular matrix metabolism, regulate the production of matrix metalloproteinases and pro-inflammatory factors, participate in the degradation of collagen and proteoglycan, and play an important regulatory role in the pathological process of KOA. Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) therapy under the guidance of holistic concept and dialectical treatment theory has a strong pertinence and remarkable curative effect, and can control the development of the disease fundamentally. Starting with the relationship between p38 MAPK and the pathogenesis of KOA, this paper summarizes the research progress of p38 MAPK signaling pathway in the diagnosis and treatment of KOA by TCM, and provides new targets for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of KOA.

RESUMEN

Go is not only regarded as the most complex board game, but also viewed as a huge challenge for artificial intelligence (AI). A computer Go program, AlphaGo, using artificial neural networks and tree search defeated one of the best professional human players in March 2016, achieving an unprecedented performance in the game of Go. This victory represented a major milestone in AI research. AI would profoundly affect all fields in the days to come. On the other hand, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is thought to be of similar cultural background, traditional concept and way of thinking to Go. Consequently AI techniques may be employed in TCM research. This article presented a brief overview of recent progress in AI, and explored the feasibility of applying the techniques concerning AlphaGo to the diagnosis and treatment of TCM.

RESUMEN

Theoretical studies of detection system of human body functions reflecting characteristics of Chinese medicine show that the three indicators of intake of the body from outside and the digestion and absorption of supply perunit time to ensure maximum quality, the energy consumed to maintain the five internal organs function perunit time and the dissipation of body storage perunit time will be able to fully reflect the changes in physiological and pathological status.Based on this theory, data obtained from the new understanding of the classification of the clinical symptoms in the characteristics of life as well as traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) symptoms,TCM symptoms unit and clinical symptoms attribute to TCM symptom information instrument detection. The human body function tests will be an extension of the TCM diagnostic methods, which will supplement the content of clinical symptoms and is expected to become a TCM therapeutic evaluation of quantitative detection methods.

RESUMEN

This study was aimed to establish traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) diagnosis and treatment procedure of varicella zoster virus (VZV) in AIDS, and to construct questionnaires for key points and revision of the procedure. The TCM draft of diagnosis and treatment procedure for VZV in AIDS was established through literature retrieval and peer review. Two rounds of surveys were carried out to investigate the confirmation and advice of in-group specialist to key points of TCM or integrative medicine draft including diagnosis, treatment and nursing. Then, diagnosis and treatment procedure were revised according to survey results. The results showed that the recovery of complete ques-tionnaires in the first-round survey was 96%. More confirmation of specialists were given to concept, clinical feature, cause, mechanism, case history and general examination, diagnostic criteria, syndrome differentiation and treatment of dampness-heat of liver channel syndrome, skin, dietary and psychological nursing, treatment course and therapeutic effect standard. The coefficient of variations (CVs) of experiential effective recipe, moxibustion and massage, auxiliary examination, syndrome differentiation and treatment of dampness stagnancy due to spleen deficiency syndrome and qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome, and western medicine treatment were large. The weight coefficients of all items were within 0.043 6 and 0.046 2. The Cronbach Coefficient Alpha (CCA) was 0.996 and the split-half reliability R was 0.86. Recovery of complete questionnaires in the second-round survey was 100%. More confirmation of special-ists were given to outline, cause, mechanism, case history and general examination, diagnostic criteria, syndrome dif-ferentiation and treatment of three syndromes, experiential effective recipe, skin, dietary and psychological nursing. The CV was 0. The CV of auxiliary examination, moxibustion and massage was 0.063 8, which was less than those of first-round survey. The consistency of specialist was relatively increased. The weight coefficients of all items in the second-round survey were within 0.058 2 and 0.059 0. The CCA was -0.041 and the split-half reliability R was 0.79. A new revised procedure was preliminarily established according to results of two rounds of surveys. It was concluded that the activeness, concentration and coordination of specialists were good in two rounds of surveys. Con-sensus in key points of the procedure draft was reached including diagnosis, treatment and nursing.
