Os Centros de Tradições Gaúchas (CTG) são entidades de divulgação e perpetuação da cultura do Rio Grande do Sul. A produção de refeições nessas entidades ocorre nos ensaios dos grupos de danças tradicionais e nos eventos oferecidos à comunidade, como jantares. Sabendo do impacto das doenças transmitidas por alimentos (DTA) na saúde humana, o objetivo deste trabalho é identificar a adequação dos CTG às boas práticas para manipulação de alimentos (BPM), explorar quem são os responsáveis pelas atividades de manipulação de alimentos e identificar a frequência e o número da produção de refeições servidas nessas instituições. A Portaria SES-RS nº 78/2009 e um questionário de coleta de dados dos grupos de dança e da produção de refeições foram aplicados em 5 CTG do Rio Grande do Sul. Outros 17 CTG do estado responderam a um segundo questionário, semelhante ao primeiro, com adição de perguntas sobre controle sanitário. Obteve-se uma média de adequação às BPM de 38% entre os CTG. Verificou-se que são servidas, em média, 4 refeições por semana entre os ensaios das invernadas artísticas próximos a competições. Em 36% dos CTG, ocorrem de 2 a 3 eventos por trimestre com produção de refeições. Em 45% dos CTG, são servidas de 100 a 200 pessoas nos eventos. Em relação aos trabalhos na cozinha, apenas 23,5% dos CTG têm como responsáveis dessas atividades pessoas devidamente capacitadas. Sendo os CTG instituições sem fins lucrativos, a criação de programas para a garantia do alimento seguro nesses espaços se faz necessária.


Centros de Tradições Gaúchas (CTG) are entities for the dissemination and perpetuation of Rio Grande do Sul culture. The production of meals in these entities takes place in the rehearsals of traditional dance groups and in events offered to the community, such as dinners. Knowing the impact of the foodborne diseases in human health, the objective of this work is to identify the adequacy of CTG to good food handling practices, to explore who are responsibles for food handling activities and identify the frequency and number of meals served in these institutions. The Portaria SES-RS No. 78/2009 and a questionnaire for data collection from dance groups and meals production were applied in 5 CTG in Rio Grande do Sul. Another 17 CTG in the state answered a second questionnaire, similar to the first, with the addition of questions about sanitary control. The average compliance with good practices was 38% among the CTG. It was found that, on average, 4 meals are served per week between rehearsals of the dance groups close to competitions. In 36% of the CTG, 2 to 3 events are held per quarter with production of meals. In 45% of the CTG, the number of people served at the events varies from 100 to 200. Regarding the work in the kitchen, only 23.5% of the CTG have duly trained people for these activities. Given that CTG are non-profit institutions, the creation of programs to ensure food safety in these spaces is necessary.

RESUMEN

To know the profile of food and enteral formulation handlers is important to promote more effective health education actions for these individuals. This study aimed to develop instruments to evaluate the profile of food handlers in households (PFH) and in food service establishments (PFSE), as well as the profile of handlers of enteral formulations in households (PEFHH). A scoping review was carried out to identify questions about the profile of food and enteral formulation handlers evaluated in studies in thein the main national and international databases. From 47 selected articles, 66 questions were identified. Of these, 17, 22, and 18 questions were established to assess the PFH, PFSE, and PEFHH, respectively. The instrument questions were subdivided by subject into personal data, sociodemographic and professional characteristics, and general information. Some questions differ between instruments due to segment specificities. The proposed instruments are novel tools. Through a scoping review and expert consultations, a comprehensive set of questions was identified and organized into instruments tailored to each specific segment. These tools will be valuable for nutritionists, researchers, and other professionals involved in assessing and addressing the needs of food handlers. (AU)


Conhecer o perfil do manipulador de alimentos e de formulações enterais é importante para promover ações de educação sanitária mais efetiva para esses indivíduos. Este estudo teve como objetivo elaborar instrumentos para avaliação do perfil do manipulador de alimentos em domicílios (PFH), em serviço de alimentação (PFSE) e de formulações enterais em domicílios (PEFHH). Realizou-se uma revisão de literatura do tipo Scoping review para identificar as questões sobre o perfil do manipulador de alimentos e de formulações enterais avaliadas nos estudos nas principais bases de dados nacionais e internacionais. A partir de 47 artigos selecionados, foram identificadas 66 questões. Destas, foram estabelecidas 17, 22 e 18 questões para avaliar o PFH, PFSE e PEFHH, respectivamente. As questões dos instrumentos foram subdivididas por assunto nas seguintes categorias: dados pessoais; características sociodemográficas e profissionais; e informações gerais. Algumas questões se diferenciam entre os instrumentos devido à particularidade de cada segmento. Os instrumentos propostos são ferramentas inovadoras. Através de uma revisão abrangente e consultas com especialistas, um conjunto abrangente de perguntas foi identificado e organizado em instrumentos adaptados a cada segmento específico. Essas ferramentas serão valiosas para nutricionistas, pesquisadores e outros profissionais envolvidos na avaliação e atendimento das necessidades dos manipuladores de alimentos. (AU)

Objective@#To explore the association between processed food consumption and anxiety symptoms among college students in Yunnan Province, so as to provide a reference for the prevention and treatment of anxiety symptoms in this population.@*Methods@#A cluster random sample of 2 515 first year students from two universities in Yunnan Province was selected to carry out a longitudinal investigation which included a baseline survey (November 2021, T1) and three follow up visits (June 2022, T2; November 2022, T3; June 2023, T4). The food frequency questionnaire was administered to assess processed food consumption, and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21, Chinese version) was used to evaluate anxiety symptoms. A generalized estimation equation model was used to analyze the relationship between processed food consumption and anxiety symptoms.@*Results@#The detection rates of T1-T4 anxiety symptoms among college students in Yunnan Province were 29.70%, 36.70%, 37.69% and 38.73 %, respectively, and the corresponding anxiety symptom scores were 4(0,8), 4(0,10), 4(0,12), 2(0,14). After controlling for demographic variables and confounding factors in the generalized estimation equation model, a statistically significant association was found between consumption of carbonated beverages ( β=0.06, 95%CI =0.03-0.08), and other processed snacks ( β= 0.04 , 95%CI =0.01-0.07) ( P <0.05). The stratified analysis by gender showed that the consumption of carbonated beverages ( β=0.08, 95%CI =0.05-0.12) and fast food ( β=0.03, 95%CI =0.00-0.06) was significantly associated with anxiety symptoms in female college students ( P <0.05). There was no significant association between processed food consumption and anxiety symptoms in male college students ( P >0.05).@*Conclusions@#Processed food consumption by college students in Yunnan Province may increase the risk of anxiety symptoms, particularly among female students. There is a need to strengthen guidance in respect to processed food consumption, so as to prevent and treat anxiety symptoms.

Introducción: La Resolución N° 16.264/13 del Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia (MEC) reglamenta el procedimiento y monitoreo de las cantinas escolares del Paraguay. Su cumplimiento podría prevenir consecuencias negativas en salud pública. Objetivos: Evaluar el cumplimiento de la Resolución N° 16.264/13, venta de alimentos saludables y funcionamiento de cantinas de escuelas públicas de Tobatí. Materiales y métodos: Estudio transversal en las cantinas de 11 escuelas. El instrumento fue una encuesta elaborada en base al Anexo 2 de la mencionada Resolución. Este estudio fue aprobado por el Comité de Ética en Investigación de la FCQ-UNA (Dictamen 242/16). Resultados: Los manipuladores de 8/11 cantinas, afirmaron conocer la Resolución N° 16.264/13 y la mayoría no recibió capacitación correspondiente. En 8/11 establecimientos se constataron que los pisos, paredes y techos no estaban en buen estado; 6/11 mantenían limpias las superficies de contacto con alimentos; 7/8 contaba con ventilación adecuada. En todas las cantinas un solo personal manipula alimentos y dinero en simultáneo, la mayoría de ellos no contaba con la indumentaria adecuada (cofia y delantal). En los establecimientos estudiados, se observó con mayor frecuencia que se comercializaban embutidos y snacks dulces y salados, aunque también frutas y lácteos. No existían minutas con vegetales disponibles ni las preparaciones fritas se reemplazaban por las horneadas. Conclusión: El cumplimiento de la Resolución N° 16.264/13 en la mayoría de estas cantinas escolares fue bajo y en ellas predominó la venta de alimentos con alto contenido energético y escaso valor nutritivo.

Objectives: Evaluate compliance to Resolution No. 16,264/13, sale of healthy food and operation of canteens in public schools in Tobatí. Materials and methods: A Cross-sectional study in 11 schools´ canteens. The questionaire was a survey based on Annex 2 of the Resolution and was approved by the FCQ-UNA Research Ethics Committee (242/16). Results: The food handlers of 8/11 canteens stated that they were familiar with Resolution No. 16.264/13 and most of them received the corresponding training. In 8/11 establishments it was found that floors, walls, and ceilings were not in good condition; 6/11 kept food contact surfaces clean; 7/8 had adequate ventilation. In all the canteens, only one staff handled food and money at the same time, most of them did not have the appropriate clothing (cap and apron). Most of the establishments sold sausages and sweet and salty snacks, where fruits and dairy products were also sold, and no vegetable meal menus available, nor were fried foods replaced by baked foods. Conclusion: compliance to Resolution No. 16,264/13 in most of these school canteens was low and the sale of food with high energy content and low nutritional value predominated.

Este documento presenta una exhaustiva verificación de los sistemas de blindaje en un servicio de terapias radiometabólicas, ubicada en el cuarto piso del edificio de Medicina Nuclear. En esta área, se llevan a cabo terapias con I 131 , Lu177 y Ra223 al menos tres veces por semana, atendiendo a un promedio de 60 pacientes al mes, de los cuales aproximadamente 15 son tratados con terapias de baja actividad. Todo esto se realiza en estricto cumplimiento de los límites de dosis establecidos para la zona, los horarios de ocupación, los puntos de control y el equipo de medición correspondiente. La metodología propuesta está diseñada para abordar las necesidades prácticas de los centros de terapias radiometabólicas en su funcionamiento diario, considerando las condiciones reales de exposición. Los resultadosconfirman la idoneidad de los sistemas de blindaje, adaptados específicamente a las actividades desarrolladas en estas instalaciones


This document presents an exhaustive verification of shielding systems in a radiometabolic therapy service, located on the fourth floor of the Nuclear Medicine building. In this area, therapies with I 131, Lu177 and Ra223 are carried out at least three times a week, serving an average of 60 patients per month, of which approximately 15 are treated with low-activity therapies. All this is carried out in strict compliance with the dose limits established for the zone, the occupation times, the control points and the corresponding measurement equipment. The proposed methodology is designed to address the practical needs of radiometabolic therapy centers in their daily operation, considering real exposure conditions. The results confirm the suitability of the shielding systems, specifically adapted to the activities carried out in these installations

El comercio ambulante de alimentos listos para el consumo ha crecido exponencialmente a nivel mundial. Sin embargo, la falta de condiciones óptimas de preparación y expendio de estos alimentos pueden afectar su inocuidad. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la calidad microbiológica de 19 tipos de alimentos (n= 417), con y sin tratamiento térmico, expendidos en espacios públicos en Cuenca, Ecuador. Según el grupo de alimentos, se analizaron aerobios mesófilos, coliformes/Escherichia coli, mohos y levaduras, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, Listeria spp., Clostridium perfringes y Vibrio parahaemolyticus. Para la identificación y recuento de los microorganismos se aplicaron normativas nacionales y, en casos de ausencia, se adoptaron normas de otros países. Como resultado, el 55,4% de las muestras se consideraron no aptas para el consumo. S. aureus fue el microorganismo patógeno presuntivo de mayor prevalencia (81,7%). El incumplimiento de las normativas fue significativamente mayor entre los alimentos sin tratamiento térmico (54,1%) en comparación con aquellos térmicamente tratados (24%) y los que combinan ingredientes con y sin tratamiento (21,9%) (p<0,001). Se destaca el alto porcentaje de incumplimiento de alimentos sin tratamiento térmico que son manipulados en su preparación, como los jugos. Además, se observó que el tratamiento térmico no garantizó la inocuidad, sugiriendo una posible recontaminación del alimento luego de su preparación hasta su expendio y consumo, por medios ambientales y/o adición de otros ingredientes contaminados. Este estudio recalca la necesidad de acciones concretas con este sector, basados principalmente en capacitación, infraestructura e inclusión, para garantizar la salud de los consumidores.


Street-vending trade in ready-to-eat foods has grown exponentially, worldwide. However, the lack of optimal conditions for the preparation and sale of these foods can affect their safety. The objective of this study was to evaluate the microbiological quality of 19 types of foods (n= 417), with and without heat treatment, sold in public spaces in Cuenca, Ecuador. According to the food group, mesophilic aerobes, coliforms/Escherichia coli, molds and yeasts, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, Listeria spp., Clostridium perfringens, and Vibrio parahaemolyticus were examined. For microorganisms identification and counting, national regulations were applied and, in cases of absence, regulations from other countries were adopted. As a result, 55,4% of the samples were considered inadequate for consumption. S. aureus was the most prevalent presumptive pathogenic microorganism (81.7%). Non-compliance with regulations was significantly higher among foods without heat treatment (54.1%) compared to those heat treated (24%) and those that combine ingredients with and without treatment (21.9%) (p<0.001). The high percentage of non-compliance with foods without heat treatment that is handled for preparation, such as juices, stands out. In addition, it was observed that the heat treatment did not guarantee safety, suggesting possible food recontamination after preparation until sale and consumption, due to environmental means and/or the addition of other contaminated ingredients. This study emphasizes the need for concrete actions in this sector, mainly based on training, infrastructure, and inclusion, to guarantee consumers' health.

ABSTRACT Schirmer strips and conjunctival swabs are used in ophthalmology for the collection of tears and fluids. One of the biggest challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic has been accurate diagnosis and, in some cases, ocular manifestations are among the first symptoms. In this context, this study aimed to collect evidence to support the use of Schirmer strips and conjunctival swabs as a method of sample collection for viral analysis. A literature search was conducted following the Scoping Review protocol defined by The Joanna Briggs Institute. Studies were analyzed regarding virus research, collection methods, and sample analysis. The findings support that viruses can be detected on the ocular surface through analysis of Schirmer strips and conjunctival swabs. However, additional studies with larger samples and time data are necessary to confirm these conclusions.


RESUMO A fita de Schirmer e o swab conjunctival são utilizados na oftalmologia como métodos de coleta para lágrimas e fluidos. Durante a pandemia da COVID-19, um dos desafios foi o diagnóstico correto e se sabe que, em alguns casos, as manifestações oculares podem ser um dos primeiros sintomas. Nesse contexto, este estudo tem como objetivo levantar evidência que destaque o uso de fitas de Schirmer e de swabs conjuntivais como método de coleta para análise viral. Conduziu-se uma revisão de literatura seguindo o protocolo para Scoping Review definido pelo Joanna Briggs Institute. Os pesquisadores analisaram os estudos em busca do vírus pesquisado, os métodos de coleta e os métodos de análise. Vírus podem ser detectados na superfície ocular através da análise de fitas de Schirmer e de swabs conjuntivais, entretanto novos estudos com populações maiores e com definições claras de tempo são necessários para conclusões mais assertivas no tema.

Introducción: La citología líquida es un método que puede contribuir a identificar de manera precoz los cambios microscópicos del cérvix uterino que pudieran progresar a la malignidad, al disminuir el número de muestras insatisfactorias en relación a la citología convencional. Objetivo: Analizar las características microscópicas identificadas mediante la citología de base líquida del cérvix uterino en mujeres atendidas en la Unidad de Bienestar Estudiantil de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, Ecuador. Métodos : Se realizó un estudio de serie de casos donde se analizaron las características sociodemográficas, microbiológicas e histológicas procedentes de las fichas médicas de 132 mujeres que participaron en la campaña de Papanicolaou realizado durante junio de 2019. Resultados: El rango de edad predominante fue el de 19 a 33 años, residían en área urbana, 64 % de las mujeres inició la vida sexual antes o durante sus 18 años. Los hallazgos microbiológicos mostraron presencia de flora cocoide en 50 % y 100 % de las muestras manifestaron la calidad adecuada. El estudio citológico presentó, según el sistema Bethesda, 75 % de muestras negativas, con 13 % de LIE de bajo grado y 11 % de ASCUS. El fondo del frotis inflamatorio leve se presentó en 52 %, mientras los antecedentes de más de tres citologías anteriores positivas resultaron en 34 % de las féminas. No se encontró relación entre la presencia de lesión intraepitelial y la edad de las pacientes (p=0,3076). Conclusiones: El total de las muestras fueron útiles lo cual puede indicar que la citología de base líquida ofrece una mayor calidad del diagnóstico histológico.


Introduction: Liquid-based cytology is a method that can contribute to the early identification of microscopic changes in the uterine cervix that can progress to malignancy, by reducing the number of unsatisfactory samples compared to conventional cytology. Objective: To analyze the microscopic characteristics identified by liquid-based cytology of the uterine cervix in women treated at the Student Welfare Unit of the Technical University of Manabí, Ecuador. Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective and quantitative study was carried out where the sociodemographic, microbiological and histological characteristics collected in the medical records of 132 women who participated in the Pap smear campaign carried out during June 2019 were analyzed. Results: The age range that prevailed was 19 to 33 years who lived in urban areas, 64% of women began their sexual life before or at 18 years of age. The microbiological findings showed the presence of coccoid flora in 50% and 100% of the samples showed adequate quality. The cytological study presented, according to the Bethesda system, 75% of negative samples, with 13% low-grade IEL and 11% ASCUS. The background of the mild inflammatory smears was present in 52%, the history of previous positive cytology in 34% was more than three. All of the samples were useful. No relationship was found between the presence of intraepithelial lesion and the age of the patients (p=0.3076). Conclusions: CBL can ensure a higher quality of histological diagnosis by guaranteeing a greater number of useful samples.

Introdução: Os alimentos e bebidas podem transmitir doenças quando contaminados com micro-organismos patogênicos. Os manipuladores de alimentos devem ser conscientizados quanto às medidas de higiene e Boas Práticas. Objetivo: Analisar a eficácia de qualificação em higiene e segurança de alimentos por meio de plataforma digital. Metodologia: Foi aplicado um questionário antes e após treinamento realizado de forma online e assíncrona, por meio da utilização da plataforma Google Classroom®. Resultados: Inicialmente, o público-alvo detinha 86±1% de conhecimentos e atitudes adequados,  Após o curso, atingiu média de 98±5%. Os conhecimentos prévios sobre higiene e segurança alimentar eram satisfatórios, Porém, a abordagem digital demonstrou eficiência na educação sobre higiene pessoal, ambiental e no manejo seguro dos alimentos, incluindo preparo, descongelamento, contaminação e higienização de vegetais. Discussão: A utilização de cursos a distância, por meio de plataformas digitais, tem sido apresentada como um método eficiente para levar conhecimentos e modificar as atitudes relacionadas à segurança e higiene de alimentos para os profissionais do setor de alimentação. Conclusão: A utilização de plataforma digital para oferta de qualificação em higiene e segurança de alimentos demonstrou ser eficiente para aplicação dos conteúdos relacionados a forma correta de armazenamento, contaminação cruzada, higiene das mãos, saúde do manipulador e higiene do manipulador. Introduction: Food and beverages can transmit diseases when contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms. Food handlers must be educated about hygiene measures and Good Practices. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an online training program on food hygiene and safety using a digital platform. Methodology: A questionnaire was applied before and after asynchronous online training through the Google Classroom® platform. Results: Initially, the target audience held 86±1% adequate knowledge and attitudes. After the course, it reached an average of 98±5%. Pre-existing knowledge about food hygiene and safety was satisfactory. However, the digital approach demonstrated efficiency in educating about personal and environmental hygiene and safe food handling, including preparation, thawing, contamination, and vegetable sanitization. Discussion: Online training courses through digital platforms have been shown to be an efficient method for delivering knowledge and modifying attitudes related to food safety and hygiene for food industry professionals. Conclusion: The study also showed that the online training program was effective in delivering content related to storage, cross-contamination, hand hygiene, health of the handler, and handler hygiene.

Objetivos: descrever as boas práticas realizadas pela equipe multiprofissional durante a aspiração de vias aéreas inferiores em pacientes adultos, internados na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Método: estudo quantitativo, observacional, descritivo e prospectivo, norteado pela ferramenta STROBE, realizado em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva adulto, entre maio e agosto de 2022. A amostra foi composta por 25 observações e a coleta de dados através de checklist, incluídos os profissionais de enfermagem, fisioterapia e medicina. Os dados foram processados no Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, sendo calculadas as frequências absolutas e relativas. Resultados: a maioria das aspirações foram realizadas pela equipe de enfermagem, 20 (80%) profissionais não regularam a fração inspirada de oxigênio antes e após o procedimento, 06 (60%) profissionais não clampearam a sonda durante a sua inserção. O uso de máscara (100%), capote (92%) e luva (100%) foram as boas práticas com maior aderência entre os participantes. Conclusão: reforça-se a necessidade de incentivar os treinamentos abordando as boas práticas durante a aspiração endotraqueal.


Objetivos: describir las buenas prácticas realizadas por el equipo multiprofesional durante la aspiración de vías aéreas inferiores en pacientes adultos, ingresados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. Método: estudio cuantitativo, observacional, descriptivo y prospectivo, guiado por la herramienta STROBE, realizado en una unidad de cuidados intensivos adulta, entre mayo y agosto de 2022. La muestra fue compuesta por 25 observaciones y la recogida de datos a través de checklist, incluidos los profesionales de enfermería, fisioterapia y medicina. Los datos fueron procesados en el Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, siendo calculadas las frecuencias absolutas y relativas. Resultados: la mayoría de las aspiraciones fueron realizadas por el equipo de enfermería, 20 (80%) profesionales no regularon la fracción inspirada de oxígeno antes y después del procedimiento, 06 (60%) profesionales no clampearon la sonda durante su inserción. El uso de máscara (100%), capucha (92%) y guante (100%) fueron las mejores prácticas con mayor adherencia entre los participantes. Conclusión: se refuerza la necesidad de incentivar los entrenamientos abordando las buenas prácticas durante la aspiración endotraqueal.


Objective: to describe the good practices performed by the multiprofessional team during lower airway aspiration in adult patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. Method: quantitative, observational, descriptive and prospective study, guided by the STROBE tool, conducted in an adult intensive care unit, between May and August 2022. The sample consisted of 25 observations and data collection through checklist, including nursing, physiotherapy and medicine professionals. The data were processed in the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, and the absolute and relative frequencies were calculated. Results: most aspirations were performed by the nursing team, 20 (80%) professionals did not regulate the inspired fraction of oxygen before and after the procedure, 06 (60%) professionals did not clamp the tube during its insertion. The use of mask (100%), cloak (92%) and glove (100%) were the best practices with greater adherence among participants. Conclusion: there is the need to encourage training addressing good practices during endotracheal aspiration.

Resumo Objetivo Avaliar duas técnicas de coleta cervicovaginal à adequabilidade da amostra e aos demais achados do laudo colpocitopatológico. Métodos O estudo foi realizado no período de setembro de 2018 a julho de 2019, em um centro de saúde-escola, localizado no município de Fortaleza - Ceará. A amostra foi composta por 365 mulheres divididas aleatoriamente, sendo 184 participantes no Grupo Controle (técnica na qual o esfregaço da ectocérvice foi disposto na lâmina antes da coleta do material da endocérvice) e 181 no Grupo Comparação (no qual o esfregaço da ectocérvice vaginal foi disposto na lâmina apenas após a coleta do material da endocérvice). Utilizou-se um instrumento contendo variáveis sociodemográficas, clínicas, sexuais, reprodutivas e referentes aos achados no laudo citopatológico. Incluíram-se mulheres na faixa etária de 18 a 64 anos, que já tinham iniciado vida sexual e que realizaram o exame de prevenção do câncer de colo uterino no período da coleta de dados. Os testes do qui-quadrado, Fisher e Kruskal-Wallis foram utilizados. Resultados Não houve associação estatística entre a adequabilidade da amostra citopatológica às duas técnicas de coleta cervicovaginal empregadas e às demais variáveis clínicas, sexuais, reprodutivas e referentes aos demais achados no laudo citopatológico, obtendo-se valor de p>5% em todas as associações realizadas. Conclusão As duas técnicas de coleta de células cervicais descritas em manuais oficiais não diferiram para a obtenção de uma amostra celular adequada, sendo igualmente eficazes e propiciando a garantia de um laudo colpocitopatológico preciso e oportuno. Resumen Objetivo Evaluar dos técnicas de toma de muestra cervicovaginal con la adecuación de la muestra y con los demás resultados del informe colpocitológico. Métodos El estudio fue realizado durante el período de septiembre de 2018 a julio de 2019, en un centro de salud-escuela, ubicado en el municipio de Fortaleza, estado de Ceará. La muestra estaba compuesta por 365 mujeres divididas aleatoriamente, de las cuales 184 participantes estaban en el Grupo Control (técnica por la que el frotis del ectocérvix fue colocado en la lámina antes de la toma del material del endocérvix) y 181 en el Grupo Comparación (en el que el frotis del ectocérvix vaginal fue colocado sobre la lámina únicamente después de la toma del material del endocérvix). Se utilizó un instrumento con variables sociodemográficas, clínicas, sexuales, reproductivas y relativas a los resultados del informe citológico. Fueron incluidas mujeres del grupo de edad de 18 a 64 años, que ya habían empezado su vida sexual y que realizaron la prueba de prevención de cáncer de cuello uterino durante el período de la recopilación de datos. Se utilizaron las pruebas χ2 de Pearson, Fisher y Kruskal-Wallis. Resultados No hubo asociación estadística entre la adecuación de la muestra citológica con las dos técnicas de toma cervicovaginal utilizadas y con las demás variables clínicas, sexuales, reproductivas y referentes a los demás resultados del informe citológico, y se obtuvo un valor de p>5 % en todas las asociaciones realizadas. Conclusión Las dos técnicas de toma de células cervicales que se describen en manuales oficiales no difirieron en la obtención de una muestra celular adecuada y son igualmente eficaces y favorecen la garantía de un informe colpocitológico preciso y oportuno.


Abstract Objective To assess two cervicovaginal collection techniques to sample suitability and the other findings of Pap smear. Methods The study was conducted from September 2018 to July 2019, in a school health center located in the city of Fortaleza - Ceará. The sample consisted of 365 women randomly divided, with 184 participants in the Control Group (technique in which the ectocervix smear was placed on the slide before endocervical material was collected) and 181 in the Comparison Group (in which the vaginal ectocervix smear was placed on the slide only after collecting the material from the endocervix). An instrument containing sociodemographic, clinical, sexual, reproductive and findings in cytopathological report was used. Women aged between 18 and 64 years, who had already started their sexual life and who underwent the cervical cancer prevention test during the data collection period, were included. Chi-square, Fisher and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used. Results There was no statistical association between cytopathological sample suitability for the two cervicovaginal collection techniques used and for the other clinical, sexual, reproductive and other variables related to the other findings in cytopathological report, obtaining a value of p>5% in all associations performed. Conclusion The two techniques for collecting cervical cells described in official manuals did not differ for obtaining an adequate cell sample, being equally effective and providing the guarantee of an accurate and timely Pap smear. Objetivo: Conhecer a aceitação de pacientes de ensaio clínico quanto a coleta de exames domiciliares, testes remotos e teleconsultas, compreendendo as suas preferências e expectativas. Método: Estudo qualitativo, exploratório, descritivo, com entrevistas em profundidade envolvendo profissionais de saúde (especialistas) e pacientes, com e sem experiência em ensaios clínicos, com posterior validação dos constructos por meio de workshop participativo. Resultados: Para os pacientes de ensaio clínico, a aceitação mostrou-se relativa. Diversos fatores influenciam suas preferências e expectativas, sendo as principais: a) O grau de confiabilidade nos processos e a acurácia dos resultados de exames domiciliares. b) Os testes remotos, apesar de bem aceitos, dependem da capacidade de entendimento no correto manuseio da tecnologia requerida. c) A teleconsulta, já bem utilizada e aceita, não substitui totalmente o encontro presencial com o médico em fases críticas. A preferência é pelo uso equilibrado do "presencial x remoto". Conclusão: A aceitação é influenciada por diversas variáveis. Devem ser definidas estratégias adequadas para cada caso, para garantir resultados seguros e confiáveis, com equilíbrio entre o presencial e remoto, através da participação ativa dos pacientes nas tomadas de decisão.


To understand the acceptance of clinical trial patients regarding in-house exams, remote tests and teleconsultations, revealing their preferences and expectations Method: Qualitative, exploratory-descriptive study, with in-depth interviews involving health professionals (specialists) and patients, with and without experience in clinical trials, with subsequent validation of the constructs through a participatory workshop. Results: For clinical trial patients, acceptance was relative. Several factors influence their preferences and expectations, the main ones being: a) The degree of reliability in the processes and the accuracy of the results of home exams. b) Remote tests, although well accepted, depend on the ability of the patient to understand the correct handling of the required technology. c) Teleconsultation, already well used and accepted, does not completely replace the face-to-face meeting with the doctor in critical phases. The preference is for the balanced use of "in person versus remote". Conclusion: Acceptance is influenced by several variables. Adequate strategies must be defined for each case, to ensure safe and reliable results, with a balance between face-to-face and remote, through the active participation of patients in decision-making


Objetivo: Conocer la aceptación de los pacientes de ensayos clínicos en cuanto a la recogida de exámenes domiciliarios, pruebas a distancia y teleconsultas, entendiendo sus preferencias y expectativas. Método: Estudio cualitativo, exploratorio-descriptivo, con entrevistas en profundidad involucrando a profesionales de la salud (especialistas) y pacientes, con y sin experiencia en ensayos clínicos, con posterior validación de los constructos a través de un taller participativo. Resultados: Para pacientes de ensayos clínicos, la aceptación fue relativa. Varios factores influyen en sus preferencias y expectativas, siendo los principales: a) El grado de confiabilidad en los procesos y la precisión de los resultados de los exámenes domiciliarios. b) Las pruebas a distancia, aunque bien aceptadas, dependen de la capacidad de comprender el manejo correcto de la tecnología requerida. c) La teleconsulta, ya muy utilizada y aceptada, no sustituye por completo al encuentro presencial con el médico en fases críticas. La preferencia es por el uso equilibrado de "en persona versus remoto". Conclusión: La aceptación está influenciada por varias variables. Se deben definir estrategias adecuadas para cada caso, para garantizar resultados seguros y confiables, con equilibrio entre presencial y remoto, a través de la participación activa de los pacientes en la toma de decisiones

RESUMEN

The University of Tsukuba aims to be a university where all members, not only LGBT but also everyone with diverse personalities, can share their abilities. The Bureau of Human Empowerment plays a central role in student support in line with the Basic Principles and Guidelines on LGBT+ Inclusion at the University of Tsukuba (2020 revision). Students' gender information is accessible only to those who need it, such as teachers in charge. Faculty and staff are encouraged to handle information carefully. While basic knowledge of LGBT and others is necessary, it is also important to consider all students based on the premise that there are those with diverse personalities who are not LGBT, rather than treating LGBT and other students specially. We shared our opinions with faculty and the faculty development (FD) committee members at FD meetings.

ObjectiveTo propose a three-degree-of-freedom model of electric wheelchair, to optimize the steering stability of the wheelchair. MethodsBased on the two degrees of freedom vehicle model and considering the influence of body inertia and lateral wind, the wheelchair roll angle was introduced to establish the three degrees of freedom steering model of wheelchair. The lateral velocity, centroid sideslip angle, yaw rate and body roll angle response of the motor angular velocity input under different working conditions were simulated and analyzed respectively. Taking KS2 electric wheelchair as an example, the wheelchair steering experiment was designed to verify the rationality and feasibility of the model, and the optimization effect of the model algorithm on the wheelchair handling and stability. ResultsThe maneuverability and stability of the electric wheelchair with three degrees of freedom model algorithm were significantly improved, and the response curve was smoother. The smaller the |VL-VR|/t was, the better the handling stability was when the left and right motors of the wheelchair had the same steering direction. When |VL-VR|/t was the same, the steering maneuverability was better on the reverse rotation of the motor, but the handling stability also decreased. ConclusionThe simulation analysis is in good agreement with the experimental results, which verifies that the model is reasonable and feasible. The model algorithm can better optimize the handling stability of electric wheelchairs, and can be generally applied to study and analyze the handling stability of different wheelchairs when they turn.

Introdução: Para a oferta de refeições seguras aos estudantes, preconizado pelo Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar, se faz necessária uma condição higiênicossanitária adequada da Unidade de Alimentação e Nutrição. Objetivo: Avaliar as condições higiênicossanitárias das Unidades de Alimentação e Nutrição de escolas participantes do Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar em municípios goianos, bem como verificar possíveis associações com: índices municipais, características da escola e supervisão de nutricionista. Método: Estudo transversal, realizado entre 2017 e 2019, com amostra de 395 escolas, de 103 municípios de Goiás. As condições higiênicossanitárias foram verificadas por nutricionistas, por meio de um checklist baseado na RDC nº 216, de 15 de setembro de 2004 da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária e nos índices municipais de desenvolvimento humano e da educação básica em base de dados públicas. As características da escola e o recebimento de supervisão foram perguntados aos diretores escolares. Realizou-se uma análise descritiva dos itens do checklist e testes de hipóteses e correlação. Resultados: A maioria das unidades (69,4%) foi classificada como de risco sanitário regular, de acordo com o checklist. Obteve-se diferenças significativas entre: as escolas municipais e estaduais (p = 0,02); a mesorregião Norte das outras (p = 0,00) e o baixo Índice de Desenvolvimento Humano das demais categorias (p = 0,02). Ademais, o alto Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica (5º ano) apresentou uma associação com o muito baixo risco sanitário (p = 0,04). Conclusões: Infere-se que há necessidade de medidas corretivas. Sugere-se a implementação de manuais de boas práticas; a formação de manipuladores; a supervisão contínua do nutricionista e do Conselho de Alimentação Escolar; e o investimento da gestão com vistas à Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional dos escolares.


Introduction: In order to offer safe meals to students, recommended by the Brazilian School Feeding Program (PNAE, in Portuguese), an adequate hygienic-sanitary condition of "Units of Food and Nutrition" is necessary. Objective: To evaluate the hygienic-sanitary conditions of the "Units of Food and Nutrition" at schools participating in the Brazilian School Feeding Program in municipalities in Goiás, as well as to verify possible associations with municipal indexes, school characteristics and supervision by a nutritionist. Method: Cross-sectional study, carried out between 2017 and 2019, with a sample of 395 schools, from 103 municipalities in Goiás. The hygienic-sanitary conditions were collected by nutritionists, through a checklist based on Anvisa's RDC nº 216/2004 and municipal indexes of human development and basic education in public databases. The school's characteristics and the existence of supervision by a nutritionist were asked to school directors. Descriptive analysis of the checklist items and hypothesis and correlation tests were performed. Results: Most units (69.4%) were classified as having regular health risk, according to the checklist. Significant differences were obtained between municipal and state schools (p = 0.02); difference of northern mesoregion from the others (p = 0.00) and low Human Development Index of the other categories (p = 0.02) were observed. Furthermore, the high Basic Education Development Index (5th grade) was associated with a very low health risk (p = 0.04). Conclusions: It is inferred that there is a need for corrective measures. Manuals of good practices should be implemented, along with training of handlers, ongoing supervision by the nutritionist and the School Feeding Council, and investment in management with a view to the Food and Nutritional Security of schoolchildren.

Using an online questionnaire, this study evaluated the profile of a Brazilian population's food handling practices in the home environment. The questionnaire, containing questions about domestic behavior in terms of hygiene and food handling, was built and available through social media sites. Information about the participants' profiles, their food pre-preparation, food preparation, and food post-preparation practices, and the occurrence of foodborne diseases (FBDs) was included in the questionnaire. A total of 701 responses were obtained. The interviewees included 78.31% female participants and 21.68% male participants, with an average age of 31.2 years. Nearly all (94.3%) had a complete or incomplete higher education. In the pre-preparation stage, the participants evaluated the shelf life (97.28%) and storage temperature (44.79%) of the products while purchasing them. Regarding food handling practices, only a few participants washed the food packages before storing them (31.95%) or removed hand jewelry or other adornments when washing food (61.48%). Most participants washed their hands (91.58%) and washed vegetables (99.28%). But a group of interviewees reported washing raw meat (27.81%) before preparing it. Cutting surfaces such as plastic (50.36%) and glass (49.36%) tops were the most prevalent in the study. Most respondents did not know how long they had been using their cutting boards (67.62%) and mentioned using the same surface to handle both raw and ready-to-eat products (84.17%). As for the preparation, most interviewees declared they did not check the food temperature during preparation (86.31%), ignoring the ideal cooking temperature (88.26%). Regarding the occurrence of FBDs, 79.17% of the interviewees reported having suspicious clinical signs associated with contaminated foods and 65.59% did not seek medical help. Thus, the participants demonstrated ignorance about adequate practices for food safety in the home environment, highlighting the need to conduct health education programs within the Brazilian population.(AU)


Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o perfil das práticas de manipulação de alimentos no ambiente domiciliar no Brasil utilizando um questionário online. Um questionário contendo perguntas sobre comportamento doméstico em nível de higiene e manipulação de alimentos foi construído e disponibilizado por redes sociais. O questionário continha informações sobre o perfil dos participantes, suas práticas de pré-preparo, preparo e pós-preparo de alimentos e a ocorrência de doenças transmitidas por alimentos (DTA). Obteve-se 701 respostas, os entrevistados foram 78,31% do sexo feminino e 21,68% do sexo masculino, com média de idade de 31,2 anos. A maioria (94,3%) possuia ensino superior completo ou incompleto. Na etapa de pré-preparo, os participantes avaliam o prazo de validade (97,28%) e a temperatura de armazenamento (44,79%) dos produtos no momento da compra. Em relação às práticas de manipulação dos alimentos, apenas alguns participantes lavavam as embalagens dos alimentos antes de armazená-los (31,95%) ou retiravam adornos ao lavar os alimentos (61,48%). A maioria dos participantes lavam as mãos (91,58%) e os vegetais (99,28%); entretanto, um grupo de entrevistados relatou lavar carne crua (27,81%) antes de prepará-la. Superfícies de corte como tábuas de plástico (50,36%) e de vidro (49,36%) foram os mais prevalentes no estudo. A maioria dos entrevistados não sabe há quanto tempo usa as tábuas de corte (67,62%) e utilizam a mesma superfície para manusear produtos crus e prontos para o consumo (84,17%). Quanto ao preparo, a maioria dos entrevistados declarou não verificar a temperatura dos alimentos durante o preparo (86,31%), ignorando a temperatura ideal de cozimento (88,26%). Em relação à ocorrência de DVA, 79,17% dos entrevistados relataram que já apresentaram sinais clínicos suspeitos associados a alimentos contaminados e 65,59% não procuraram atendimento médico. Nesse sentido, os participantes demonstraram desconhecimento sobre as práticas adequadas para a segurança dos alimentos no ambiente domiciliar, evidenciando a necessidade de realização de programas de educação em saúde com a população brasileira.(AU)

A medida que aumenta la globalización de los suministros de alimentos, resulta cada vez más evidente la necesidad de reforzar los sistemas que velan por la inocuidad de los alimentos. Con el objetivo de evaluar la eficacia de la educación sanitaria en establecimientos particulares de expendio de alimentos a la población, se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal que permitió evaluar la eficacia de las acciones de capacitación realizadas, se evaluaron factores de infraestructura, operacionales y humanos en 15 cafeterías de la Habana en el periodo de enero del 2018 a mayo 2019 mediante la aplicación de encuestas de evaluación de riesgos higiénico sanitarios y de conocimientos. Se evidenciaron factores inadecuados de infraestructura, operacionales y humanos en la primera evaluación, relacionados con el déficit de conocimiento de los manipuladores, que en su gran mayoría, fueron erradicados después de la intervención educativa realizada en el grupo participante, no se evidenció ningún tipo de cambio en el grupo control lo que evidencia la importancia de los programas educativos sistemáticos en este sector


As the globalization of food supplies increases, the need to strengthen food safety systems is increasingly evident. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of health education in private establishments that sell food to the population, a cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out that allowed to evaluate the effectiveness of the training actions carried out, infrastructure, operational and human factors were evaluated in 15 cafeterias in Havana in the period from January 2018 to May 2019 through the application of health and hygiene risk assessment surveys and knowledge. Inadequate infrastructure, operational and human factors were evidenced in the first evaluation, related to the deficit of knowledge of the manipulators, which for the most part, were eradicated after the educational intervention carried out in the participant group, no type of change in the control group, which shows the importance of systematic educational programs in this sector

Foram adquiridas 32 amostras de sushis entre os meses de outubro a novembro de 2019 e realizadas pesquisa de coliformes totais, coliformes termotolerantes, Escherichia coli e estafilococos coagulase positiva. Para os testes de coliformes, as amostras foram inoculadas pela técnica pour plate utilizando o meio Agar Vermelho Violeta Bile. Para os testes de estafilococos coagulase positiva, foi utilizada a técnica de spread plate utilizando o meio Agar Baird Parker. Neste estudo não foram encontradas bactérias do grupo coliformes termotolerantes, entretanto, houve presença de coliformes totais em 59,37% das amostras. Em relação a estafilococos coagulase positiva, duas amostras foram positivas para este microrganismo, entretanto, apenas uma teve valores fora dos padrões estabelecidos pela legislação. Quando comparado os resultados entre os dois restaurantes, não houve diferença estatística entre eles. Neste estudo, com exceção de uma amostra, todas as outras amostras estão de acordo com os padrões de qualidade alimentar


The objective of this study was to evaluate the microbiological patterns of sushi prepared and sold in 2 types of restaurants in the city of Pouso Alegre ­ MG. Thirty-two samples of sushi were acquired between October and November 2019 and a search for total coliforms, thermotolerant coliforms, Escherichia coli and coagulase-positive staphylococci were carried out. For the coliform tests, the samples were inoculated by the pour plate technique using the Red Violet Bile Agar medium. For coagulase positive staphylococci tests, the spread plate technique using Baird Parker Agar medium was used. In this study, bacteria of the thermotolerant coliform group were not found, however, total coliforms were present in 59.37% of the samples. Regarding coagulase-positive staphylococci, two samples were positive for this microorganism, however, only one had values ​​outside the standards established by legislation. When comparing the results between the two restaurants, there was no statistical difference between them. In this study, with the exception of one sample, all other samples meet food quality standards

This study evaluated the effect of contamination of composite resins (CRs) handled by undergraduate students during restorative procedures, varying the time (baseline, 30 days and 60 days) and experimental condition (before and after handling, contamination with saliva [positive control] and photoactivation). Eight CR tubes were randomly distributed at the dental clinic and the samples were organized into four groups: CR fragments collected before (GB) and after (GA) the restorative procedure; CR fragments contaminated with saliva (GS) and photoactivated (GP) both collected after the procedure. These 4 groups were evaluated in 3 different times: baseline (after sealing), 30 days and 60 days of use of the CR. Samples that had positive turbidity in Brain HeartInfusion (BHI) broth were sown in BHI and Sabouraud Dextrose (SB) agars for subsequent counting of Colony Forming Units (CFU mL-1). The results showed that the handling was responsible for increasing contamination (p < 0.05) at the baseline (GB [n = 0] and GA [n = 3]), as well as after 30 (GB [n = 1] and GA [n = 6]) and 60 (GB [n = 1] and GA [n = 5]) days of use. Photoactivation was responsible for the reduction for microorganisms in T0 and T60. Additionally, the time use and conservation did not influencethe contamination of CRs. Handling was responsible for the increase of contamination of CR, the photoactivation seems to reduce the number of viable microorganisms and the time of use seems not to potentiate the effect of tube contamination.
