Partial splenic artery embolization for the treatment of patients with hypersplenism at high altitude region: clinical analysis / 介入放射学杂志

Objective To investigate the clinical curative effect and significance of partial splenic artery embolization (PSE) for the treatment of patients with hypersplenism at high altitude region. Methods The clinical data of 66 patients with cirrhosis complicated by portal hypertension and hypersplenism, who lived in Xining City of Qinghai Province, the high altitude region in China, and were admitted to authors' hospital during the period from March 2015 to December 2016 to receive PSE, were retrospectively analyzed. White blood cell (WBC) count, red blood cell (RBC) count and platelet (PLT) count were calculated at one day before operation as well as at one, 7, 30 and 90 days after operation. Results The technical success rate of PSE was 100％. The mean WBC count determined at one, 7, 30 and 90 days after PSE was obviously different from that determined at one day before PSE, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0. 05). Conclusion For the treatment of patients with cirrhosis complicated by portal hypertension and hypersplenism, who live at high altitude region, PSE has reliable curative effect, therefore, this therapy is worth promoting in clinical practice. Comparison between Laparoscopic Surgery and Open Surgery for Patients with Bigger Adrenal Adenoma in Qinghai / 医学研究杂志

Objective To compare effects between the laparoscopic surgery and open surgery for the bigger adrenal adenoma(＞4cm) patients in Qinghai.Methods Altogether 57 cases of bigger adrenal adenoma patients(＞4cm)in the affiliated hospital of Qinghai university and Qinghai People's Hospital from 2012 to 2016 were selected and divided into two groups (A and B) according to surgical programs difference.Group A (23 cases)wcre givcn laparoscopic surgcry and Group B (34 cases)were given open surgery (And 2 cases in group A turned into open surgery were out of statistics).The operative time,blood loss,hospital stay and drainage tube removal time were compared.Results The operative time,blood loss,hospital stay and draiuage tube removal time in Group A were significantly better than those in Group B,with statistical significance (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The use of laparoscopic surgery for the bigger adrenal adenoma(＞4cm) patients is safer and more effective than open surgery.

Observation of the clinical efficacy of Shenfuyishen Capsule in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy in high altitude regions / 西安交通大学学报(医学版)

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Shenfuyishen Capsule in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy of yangxuxueyu type in high- altitude regions.Methods We divided 53 patients randomly into two groups:31 in the observation group and 22 in the control group.Patients in the control group were treated with conventional regime of Western Medicine.Those in treatment group were given extra treatment with Shenfuyishen Capsule.Then we tested serum creatinine (Scr ),uric acid (UA),urinary microalbumin (MALB )and GFR. Results The total efficiency was 90.32% and 81.82% in the treatment group and the control group,which was significantly different (P < 0.05 ).Major symptoms improved after treatment in both groups,which differed significantly compared with those before treatment (P <0.05).ALT in the treatment group was not different after treatment.CR,UA,MALB and GFR significantly differed before and after treatment in both groups,especially in the treatment group (P <0.05).Conclusion Shenfuyishen Capsule helps improve major clinical symptoms and decrease CR,GFR,UA and MLAB levels in patients with diabetic nephrology,thus protecting renal function and delaying the process of diabetic nephropathy.
