RESUMEN

This article summarizes the common problems in registration and supervision testing of infrared therapy equipment, combines YY 0306-2008 Particular requirements for the safety of heat radiation therapy equipment, GB 9706.1-2007 Medical electrical equipment-Part 1:General requirements for safety, Registration technical review guidelines for infrared treatment equipment, etc. This paper analyzes and discusses the following aspects, including classification and applicable standards, performance indicators and overtemperature protection. Some suggestions and solutions are given to provide some guidance for medical equipment manufacturers in design, research and development and registration, in order to avoid the problem effectively and improve the passing rate of testing.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Maintenance of a well-functioning vascular access and minimal needling pain are important goals for achieving adequate dialysis and improving the quality of life in hemodialysis (HD) patients. Far-infrared (FIR) therapy may improve endothelial function and increase access blood flow (Qa) and patency in HD patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate effects of FIR therapy on Qa and patency, and needling pain in HD patients. METHODS: This prospective clinical trial enrolled 25 outpatients who maintained HD with arteriovenous fistula. The other 25 patients were matched as control with age, sex, and diabetes. FIR therapy was administered for 40 minutes during HD 3 times/wk and continued for 12 months. The Qa was measured by the ultrasound dilution method, whereas pain was measured by a numeric rating scale at baseline, then once per month. RESULTS: One patient was transferred to another facility, and 7 patients stopped FIR therapy because of an increased body temperature and discomfort. FIR therapy improved the needling pain score from 4 to 2 after 1 year. FIR therapy increased the Qa by 3 months and maintained this change until 1 year, whereas control patients showed the decrease in Qa. The 1-year unassisted patency with FIR therapy was not significantly different from control. CONCLUSION: FIR therapy improved needling pain. Although FIR therapy improved Qa, the unassisted patency was not different compared with the control. A larger and multicenter study is needed to evaluate the effect of FIR therapy.

RESUMEN

Objective To observe the clinical effects and nursing therapy of Jinchuangkangjungao ointment and infrared therapy in the treatment of chronic skin ulcers .Methods Seventy-five patients with chronic skin ulcers were divided into two groups :the experimental group(n=39) and the control group(n=36) .Jinchuangkangjungao ointment and infrared therapy were applied to the experimental group and the control group underwent conventional treatment ,including debridement ,dressing change and iodine wet compressing .The two group were both given basic nursing therapy .The effect and healing time were observed after 30 days . Results The experimental group′s total effective rate(92 .31% ) was significantly better than that of the control group(69 .44% ) , with significant difference(P<0 .01);The healing time of the experimental group[(11 .98 ± 6 .05)d] was significantly shorten than the control group[(16 .96 ± 7 .13)d] ,with significant difference(P<0 .05) .Conclusion Jinchuangkangjungao ointment combined with infrared therapy had noticeable effect in the treatment of chronic skin ulcers .

RESUMEN

@#ObjectiveTo assess the effect of comprehensive rehabilitation on facial paralysis.Methods80 patients with facial paralysis were divided into observation group receiving comprehensive rehabilitation(medicine, physical therapy, functional exercise and psychological treatment), and control group with medicine and physical therapy.ResultsThere was a significant difference in the scores for Portmann's Simple Scale between before and after treatment in two groups (P<0.01). There was a significant difference in the clinical effect between observation group and control group (P<0.05).ConclusionComprehensive rehabilitation has a better effect on facial paralysis.

RESUMEN

@#Objective To observe the effect of Integrated Chinese-Western Therapy on shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke. Methods 80 stroke patients with shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke were randomly divided into the treating group (n=40) and the control group (n=40). The patients in the treating group accepted occupational therapy and infrared therapy at the acupoints with Flos Carthami Alcohol. The control group accepted occupational therapy only. Results The treating group soothed more pain and improve their ability of motor and daily living. Conclusion Infrared therapy with Flos Carthami Alcohol can facilitate the effects of occupational therapy on should-hand syndrome after stroke.
