RESUMEN

ABSTRACT Objectives: to analyze the practices of nursing auxiliaries and technicians in the context of Primary Health Care in a city in the interior of the state of São Paulo. Methods: transversal, quantitative study, realized with 104 nursing auxiliaries and 46 nursing technicians acting in the Primary Attention. The data, collected using structured questionnaires, are presented by descriptive statistics, and analyzed based on the essential elements of First Contact and Longitudinality. Results: the professionals were, majority, women, married, with children, low political and collective participation. We identified thirteen activities related to the First Contact: and ten on Longitudinality. Conclusions: the insertion and capillarization of auxiliary and nursing technicians' practices show these professionals as the main ones responsible for the first contact in this context, highlighting their relevance in the longitudinality of care and the work composition of health teams, contributing to the consolidation of the Unified Health System (SUS).


RESUMEN Objetivos: analizar las prácticas de las auxiliares y técnicas de enfermería en el contexto de Atención Primaria de Salud en un municipio de São Paulo. Métodos: estudio transversal, cuantitativo, realizado con 104 auxiliares de enfermería y 46 técnicas de enfermería actuantes en Atención Primaria. Los datos, recogidos por medio de encuestas estructuradas, presentados por estadística descriptiva y analizados basado en elementos esenciales de Primer contacto y Longitudinalidad. Resultados: las profesionales eran, mayoritariamente, mujeres, casadas, con hijos, baja participación política y colectiva. Identificadas 13 actividades relacionadas al Primer contacto; y 10, sobre la Longitudinalidad. Conclusiones: la inserción y la capilarización de las prácticas de las auxiliares y técnicas de enfermería evidencian esas profesionales como principales responsables por el primer contacto en ese contexto, destacando su relevancia en la longitudinalidad del cuidado y en la composición del trabajo de los equipos de salud, contribuyendo para la consolidación del Sistema Único de Salud.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the effect of doctor-nurse integrated ward round performed in the training of professional nurses′ core competence.Methods 18 nurses trained for core competencies in ICU and hemodialysis room were selected as research objects.All nurses were trained with doctor-nurse integrated ward round for one year.The professional knowledge, skills and clinical comprehensive ability of all nurses were tested before and after training.Results After doctor-nurse integrated ward round, the scores of professional knowledge, skills and clinical comprehensive ability of professional nurses were significantly higher than that of before training (P<0.05).Conclusion Doctor-nurse integrated ward round can improve the core competencies of professional nurses.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the establishment and effect of the oncological training base for professional nurses in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.Methods The oncological training base for professional nurses in Xinjiang was established to train 179 nursing specialists.Result One hundred and seventy-nine participants passed the qualification examinations,achieving an average score of (77.1±5.8)in the theoretical examination and(78.0±8.9)in the skills examination.Conclusions The establishment of oncological training base for professional nurses is effective in improving the professional knowledge and operational levels of professional nurses on oncology and promoting the development of oncological nursing.

Estudo bibliográfico teve por objetivo identificar, na produção científica nacional, a forma como o profissional de enfermagem tem abordado o tema infecção hospitalar. Foram analisadas 15 publicações do período de dez anos - 1999 a 2009 - na base de dados SciELO; a busca foi feita no mês de março de 2010 e os dados analisados por meio da análise de conteúdo. Foram encontradas cinco categorias temáticas: o conceito de infecção hospitalar; a compreensão dos profissionais sobre infecção hospitalar e Comissão de Controle de Infecção Hospitalar; responsabilidade dos profissionais no controle de infecção hospitalar; a prevenção e controle da Infecção Hospitalar; e necessidade de formação adequada durante a graduação. Conclui-se que o tema deveria ser mais pesquisado, principalmente no que tange à Enfermagem e ao cuidado ao paciente; o presente estudo serve de subsídio para instigar discussões sobre o tema...


This bibliographical study of Brazilian research output aimed to identify the way in which nursing professionals have approached the theme of hospital-acquired infections. Fifteen publications from the ten-year period 1999- 2009 from the SciELO database were analyzed; the search was carried out in March 2010 and the data analyzed by content analysis. Five thematic categories were found: the concept of hospital-acquired infections; healthcare professionals' understanding of hospital-acquired infections and the Hospital-Acquired Infection Control Commission; healthcare professionals' responsibility in the control of hospital-acquired infections; the prevention and control of hospital-acquired infections; and the necessity for appropriate training during the undergraduate course. Estudio bibliográfico cuyor objetivo fue identificar, en la producción científica nacional, la forma como el profesional de enfermería viene abordando el tema infección hospitalar. Fueron analizadas 15 publicaciones del periodo de diez años - 1999 a 2009 - en la base de datos SciELO; la búsqueda fue hecha en el mes de marzo de 2010 y los datos fueron analizados por medio del análisis de contenido. RESUMEN

Professional nurse Autonomy is an essential attribute of a discipline striving for full professional status. PURPOSE: This study was to clarify the concept of professional nurse autonomy to provide basic data needed for development of professional autonomy enhancing strategies. METHOD: This study use the process of Walker & Avante's concept analysis based on Wade's research (1999), and field data of 21 nurses. RESULTS: Professional nurse autonomy is defined as competency and creative performance of the professional nurse in practice, to decide independently or interdependently nursing activities and to be had accountable for results of decisions, that reflect advocacy and caring. It was identified that critical attributes include responsible discretionary decision making, collegial interdependence, initiative, creativity, and caring, advocacy, cooperative relationship with clients, receptive capacity to others, activeness, self confidence, and devotion and responsibility to their profession. Antecedents include personal characteristics, educational background, experience and structural characteristics that enhance professional nurse autonomy. Consequences of professional nurse autonomy are feelings of self-efficacy, empowerment, job satisfaction, reduction of intention to leave their job. CONCLUSION: According to these results, it is recommended that the curriculum provides an environment for learning professional nurse autonomy, and that is used as basic data to develope strategies to enhance professional autonomy of nurse in practice and it's effects.
