RESUMEN

Introducción: la severidad de una disfonía da cuenta del grado de alteración que tiene una voz en relación con todos los procesos fisiológicos involucrados con la producción del sonido. Es importante determinar el nivel de severidad a fin de establecer un programa con el conjunto de ejercicios que permitan una rehabilitación apropiada. Objetivo: comprender si el comportamiento de los diferentes parámetros aerodinámicos, electroglotográficos, acústicos y de autorreporte vocal permite o no determinar la severidad de una disfonía. Método: se evaluaron 55 sujetos con diferentes tipos de disfonía según pará-metros aerodinámicos, electroglotográficos, acústicos y de autorreporte vocal. La muestra fue dividida en 3 grupos de acuerdo con el grado de gravedad de la patología. Se aplicó un análisis de varianza para comparar el comportamiento de las variables dependientes en relación con los niveles de severidad de la disfonía. Con el fin de determinar las diferencias entre estos niveles, se aplicó la prueba Post hoc (Tukey) a las variables significativas. Resultados: es posible determinar el nivel de severidad de una disfonía a partir de parámetros acústicos como el CPP, HNR y el cociente de pendiente espectral 1/5-5/8Khz. También se puede hacer por medio de cuestionarios de autorreporte vocal como el VOISS, el VHI y el VTDS


Introduction: the severity of dysphonia shows the degree of alteration that a voice has in relation to all the physiological processes involved in the production of sound. It is essential to determine the level of severity to establish a program with the set of exercises required for a proper rehabilitation. Objective: to understand if the behavior of the different aerodynamic, electroglot-tographic, acoustic, and vocal self-report parameters allows, or not, to determine the severity of dysphonia. Method: 55 subjects with different types of dysphonia were evaluated according to aerodynamic, electroglottographic, acoustic, and vocal self-report parameters. The sample was divided into three groups in relation to the severity degree of the patho-logy. An analysis of variance was applied to compare the behavior of dependent variables with the severity levels of dysphonia. The Post hoc test (Tukey) was applied to the significant variables to determine the differences between the severity levels. Results: it is possible to determine the level of severity of dysphonia from acoustic parameters such as CPP, HNR, and the ratio of spectral slope 1 / 5-5 / 8Khz. It is also possible to use voice self-report questionnaires such as the VOISS, the VHI, and the VTDS

Results and Conclusion:Voice disorders are classified to Voice Disturbance (MA82), within the category of Symptoms or Signs Involving Speech or Voice. Voice disorders may be symptoms or signs of Speech Disturbance (MA80), Malignant Neoplasms of Larynx (2C23), Intracerebral Haemorrhage (8B00), Oedema of Larynx (CA0H.3), and the others. Voice disorder is impairment at body function, and influence activity and participation (d3, d7, d8 and d9), which may involve in environmental and personal factors. The evaluation of voice function involes in production of voice (b3100) and quality of voice (b3101). A structured rehabilitation solution has been developed with the interventions at body structure, body function, activities and participation, environmental factors and personal factors, including assessment (assessment, test, observation), training and treatment (training, assisting), educational counseling (education, advicing, counseling), and support (psychological and social). Objective:To explore diagnosis and assessment of voice function and develop a framework of rehabilitation for it based on International Classification of Diseases 11th Revision (ICD-11), International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and International Classification of Health Interventions (ICHI). Methods:The diagnostic criteria of voice disorders and its complications were discussed with ICD-11 and ICF. The tools of assessment were analysed with ICF. A comprehensive intervention system was developed for the rehabilitation of voice function based on the joint use of ICF and ICHI.

TEMA: o uso do implante coclear resulta na otimização da percepção de fala, e conseqüentemente no desenvolvimento da linguagem, fala e voz de seus usuários, sendo que tem se mostrado uma das tecnologias mais efetivas e promissoras para remediar a perda auditiva. Entretanto, pouco tem sido estudado sobre a relação das habilidades auditivas com a voz de crianças implantadas. OBJETIVO: relacionar as habilidades de percepção de fala com características vocais de crianças usuárias de implante coclear. MÉTODO: foram realizadas análises perceptivo-auditiva e acústica da vogal sustentada /a/ e da contagem de números. Essa análise foi comparada a um teste de percepção de fala padronizado que avalia o reconhecimento de palavras, seus fonemas e consoantes. RESULTADOS: observou-se que quanto maior o reconhecimento de consoantes, maior a freqüência máxima, desvio padrão da freqüência fundamental e média de intensidade durante a fala encadeada, assim como a média da freqüência fundamental na análise da emissão da vogal /a/. Além disso, quanto maior o reconhecimento de consoantes menor o desvio geral da qualidade vocal e da ressonância. CONCLUSÃO: dentre as crianças com implante coclear, as que possuem melhor habilidade de percepção de sons da fala apresentam menores desvios perceptivo-auditivos na qualidade vocal


BACKGROUND: the use of cochlear implant results in the optimization of speech perception, and, as a consequence in the development of oral language, speech and voice of its users, demonstrating to be one of the most effective and promissing technologies to remediate hearing loss . However, little has been studied about the relationship between auditory skills and the voice of children using cochlear implants. AIM: to relate the speech perception abilities to the vocal characteristics of cochlear implant users. METHOD: perceptive and acoustic analysis of the long vowel /a/ and counting of numbers were carried out. This analysis was compared to a standardized speech perception protocol, that evaluates the recognition of words, its phonemes and consonants. RESULTS: it was observed that the higher the recognition of consonants, the higher the maximum frequency, standard deviation of the fundamental frequency and average of intensity during the sequential speech, as well as fundamental frequency average during the emission of the vowel /a/. Also, the higher the recognition of consonants, the lower the standard deviation of the quality of voice and resonance in the perceptive-auditory analysis. CONCLUSION: among the children with cochlear implants, the ones with better speech perception abilities present lower perceptive-auditory deviations of the quality of voice
