RESUMEN

Professor , as the famous and veteran physician of TCM, has practiced TCM for more than 50 years, and had unique experience for the treatment of encephalopathy. Professor applied the theory of skin to guide the treatment of shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke. On the basis of the ancient acupuncture method of , combined with modern acupuncture method and new materials, with characteristics of shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke at different time points, he proposed to use floating needling and acupoint catgut embedding to treat patients with stageⅠ, and to use picking therapy and penetration needle to treat patients with stageⅡ, and to use fire needles, penetration needle and acupoint catgut embedding to treat patients with stageⅢ, combined with conventional acupuncture and rehabilitation treatment. As a result, the superior efficacy was achieved.

RESUMEN

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To compare the effects between penetration acupuncture at Baxie (EX-UE 9) combined with rehabilitation and simple rehabilitation for swelling hand in post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Sixty patients were randomly assigned into an observation group and a control group,30 cases in each one. Penetration acupuncture at Baxie (EX-UE 9) combined with rehabilitation were used in the observation group,and the acupoints were the affected Baxie (EX-UE 9) and Wailaogong (EX-UE 8). Simple rehabilitation was used in the control group. All the treatment was given for 3 weeks,5 days a week with 2 days at the interval,once a day. The swelling degree and motor function of the affected hand were assessed before and after treatment in the two groups. Also,the effects were compared.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The swelling and motor function scores after treatment were improved compared with those before treatment in the two groups(all<0.01),with better effects in the observation group(both<0.01). The total effective rate was 93.3%(28/30) in the observation group,which was better than 73.3%(22/30) in the control group(<0.01).</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Penetration acupuncture at Baxie (EX-UE 9) combined with rehabilitation can effectively and timely alleviate the swelling hand and motor function of post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome,which are better than simple rehabilitation.</p>

@#Objective To observe the effect of Integrated Chinese-Western Therapy on shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke. Methods 80 stroke patients with shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke were randomly divided into the treating group (n=40) and the control group (n=40). The patients in the treating group accepted occupational therapy and infrared therapy at the acupoints with Flos Carthami Alcohol. The control group accepted occupational therapy only. Results The treating group soothed more pain and improve their ability of motor and daily living. Conclusion Infrared therapy with Flos Carthami Alcohol can facilitate the effects of occupational therapy on should-hand syndrome after stroke.

@#Objective To observe the effect of Weici acupuncture on shoulder-hand syndrome after acute stroke.Methods 90 cases were divided into two groups:the test group(49 cases) who were treated with Weici(a kind of acupuncture) and the control group(41 cases) who were treated with the normal acupuncture.Results The total effective ratio of the test group was 93.88%,and that of the control group was 73.17%(χ2=7.2863,P<0.01).Conclusion Weici acupuncture is more affective on shoulder-hand syndrome after acute stroke than the normal acupuncture.

@#ObjectiveTo study the effects of early rehabilitation on symptom, range of motion (ROM) and motor function of upper extremity of patients with shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke.Methods47 patients were divided into two groups,early rehabilitation group and non-early rehabilitation group.Two groups were treated with comprehensive rehabilitation. The passive ROM, the pain and motor function of affected limb was assessed by Fugl-Meyer Assessment.The evalution was done in pre-treatment and post-treatment respectively. Results1.The passive ROM decreased and the pain of affected limb of the early rehabilitation group were less than the non-early rehabilitation gronp when the shoulder-hand syndrome occour.2.After comprehensive rehabilitation treatment,their clinical symptom ROM and motor function of upper extremity impoved significantly in patients with shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke( P<0.05).The early rehabilitation treatment has better effects. Conclusions The early rehabilitation treatment could decrease the degree of their passive ROM decrease and the pain of affected limb in patients with shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke,and the patients who accepted earlyrehabilitation seemed easly to improve by comprehensive treatment.
