RESUMEN

The pathological position of hypersecretion of airway mucus is in airway mucosa. Modern TCM theory believes that the airway mucosa belongs to the triple energizer membranous system of TCM, and the airway mucus is a part of TCM water-liquid system. Based on the TCM physiological characteristics of children, this article explored the pathogenesis of airway mucus hypersecretion in children, and believed that the airway mucus hypersecretion was the result of the disorder of water-liquid metabolism in TCM, which was closely related to the function of qi transformation of triple energizer membranous system. Failure of qi transformation in triple energizer is the core pathogenesis of hypersecretion of airway mucus in children. The deficiency of yang qi in children leads to the disorganization of vaporization in triple energizer, which leads to the insufficiency of movement and transformation function, the failure of water and qi in water, the stop of water and water accumulation, the abnormity of water and grain. The disorder of water-liquid metabolism leads to the occurrence of high airway mucus secretion in children.

RESUMEN

The research on the essence of triple energizer has not reached a consensus. The correspondence between the existing understanding and the classical theory of triple energizer is still limited in terms of structure and function. According to the traditional theory, nutrient-defense takes channels as the main circulatory system, while the operation of nutrient-defense in the triple energizer remains unclear. Since little is known about the physical structure of the triple energizer, the role of triple energizer as a collection of other Zang-fu organs has been ignored in most cases. The new progress in anatomy paves the way for the research on the essence of triple energizer. The function and structure of triple energizer are similar to those of interstitium and interfacial fluid flow, which enriches our understanding of the macro and micro structures of triple energizer. The triple energizer is distributed throughout the body and composed of membrane and interstitial space. The material structure of triple energizer includes fiber scaffold, collagen fiber, mesenchymal stem cells, histiocytes, pericytes, and interstitial fluid. The functions of triple energizer include passing body fluids, operating nutrient-defense, distributing original Qi, and transmitting and changing pathogenic Qi. According to the available theories and research achievements, we put forward the concept of vertical and horizontal triple energizer, pointed out that triple energizer had independent structure and the features of Zang-fu organs, and preliminarily defined the spatial distribution of triple energizer. The relationship between channels and triple energizer is essential for discussing the operation of nutrient-defense. Telocyte (Tc) and telopod (Tp) has the characteristics of channels in function and structure. The connective tissue with the distribution of Tc and Tp belongs to the same material as the basic structure of interstitial/interfacial fluid flow system and the fibrous skeleton of interstitium. It is clear that channels and triple energizer have material commonality. From the operation paths of nutrient-defense, we proposed that channels may be soaked and attached in triple energizer and put forward the model of channels soaked and attached in triple energizer. By combining the circulation of nutrient-defense with the vertical and horizontal triple energize, we developed the theory of triple energizer-nutrient-defense loop to comprehensively describe the generation, transport, and metabolism of nutrient-defense in channels and triple energizer, aiming to provide a theoretical model for future studies of disease transmission and change from exterior to interior.

RESUMEN

Major depressive disorder (MDD) is an affective disorder characterized by significant and long-lasting depression, hypoactivity, and thinking and cognitive retardation. Some patients may conduct self-hram or suicide and have delusion, hallucination, and other mental symptoms. MDD is believed to be correlated with brain and heart, but there is no complete theory or mechanism fully explaining the pathogenesis of MDD. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) holds that the brain and heart dominate the formation of and change in mind, and MDD falls into the category of mental disease. It is mainly diagnosed as depression, visceral agitation, or Lily disease. Triple energizer is a key zang-fu organ that governs Qi transformation. There has always been some controversy about its anatomical structure. In recent years, important progress has been made in the research on the substantive structure of triple energizer. It is found that the structure and function of triple energizer are highly consistent to those of "mesenchyme", a fluid space supported by a complex network of collagen fibers and widely distributed throughout the body. Different from known tissues and organs, it is a large organ responsible for information communication, material exchange, and energy metabolism. The triple energizer is partially contained in the structure of brain and heart and connects with the brain and heart, thus forming a "brain-heart-triple energizer" system with close physiological and pathological connections. With the association of "brain-heart-triple energizer" as the basis and Qi transformation as the core link, this paper elucidated the pathogenesis of MD and put forward that MDD resulted from "brain and heart Yang deficiency and Qi depression due to triple energizer obstruction", so as to improve TCM understanding of the pathogenesis of MDD and perfect the TCM theories of encephalopathy and triple energizer.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To study the position and hierarchical structure of Five-shu points, i.e., "Guanchong" (TE1), "Yemen" (TE2), "Zhongzhu" (TE3), "Yangchi" (TE4) and "Zhigou" (TE6), and the Source-point "Tianjing" (TE10) of the Triple Energizer (TE) Meridian in the rabbit. METHODS: Based on WHO Standard Acupuncture Point Locations in the Western Pacific Region (WHO Standard) and National Standard (GB/T 22103-2008) for Acupuncture Point Locations in human body, and combined with X-ray images, the hierarchical structure of Five-shu points and Source-point of the TE Meridian were observed in ten New Zealand rabbits. The acupoint locations were determined by comparing the same name tissues of the rabbits and human body after dissecting the above-mentioned acupoints. After inserting acupuncture needles into the aforementioned acupoints, the relationship between the acupuncture needle and adjacent structure were dissected and measured. RESULTS: "Guanchong" (TE1) was located on the lateral side of the 4th terminal phalanx, and behind the corner of the onyx root. When needled, the penetrated tissues of the acupuncture needle are skin, superficial fascia, deep fascia, and the root region of the 4th phalanx, respectively. "Yemen" (TE2) was located between the 4th and 5th onyxes, at the depression of intersection of coat hair superior to the fingerweb edge. When needled, the penetrated tissues of the acupuncture needle are the superficial fascia, deep fascia and lumbrical muscles of the forepaw, respectively. "Zhongzhu" (TE3) was located between the 4th and 5th metacarpal bones, at the depression proximal to the 4th metacarpophalangeal joint. When needled, the penetrated tissues are skin, superficial fascia, deep fascia, and lumbrical muscle, respectively. "Yangchi" (TE4) was positioned at the dorsal side of the forepaw, and the surface connection line between the accessory and radial bones intersected with the depression of the extensor digitorum communis on the ulnar side. When needled, the penetrated tissues are skin, superficial fascia, deep fascia, and the ulnar side of the common extensor tendon, respectively. "Zhigou" (TE6) was positioned between the radius and ulna, on the posterior aspect of the forelimb and 3 Bone-cun proximal to the distal dorsal forepaw crease. When needled, the penetrated tissues are skin, superficial fascia, deep fascia, and the extensor digitorum, respectively. "Tianjing" (TE10) was located at the junction of the body of humerus and the lateral condyle of humerus, on the posterior aspect of the elbow and proximal to the prominence of the olecranon. When needled, the penetrated tissues are skin, superficial fascia, deep fascia, and triceps brachii muscle, respectively. CONCLUSION: The Five-shu points and Source-point of the TE Meridian on the forelimb in rabbits are innervated by the cutaneous branches of the ulnar radial nerve and the medial brachial cutaneous nerve at the superficial layer, and by the branches of the ulnar nerve and radial nerve in the deep layer, accompanied with cephalic vein and forearm blood vessels and their branches.
