RESUMEN
Autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) occurs in two forms. Type 1 AIP is an IgG4-related systemic fibro-inflammatory disease. Type 2 AIP is not associated with altered levels of IgG4, and involves only the pancreas. Here, we report a case of type 2 AIP manifesting as acute pancreatitis in a 20-year-old male with ulcerative colitis. The patient was definitely diagnosed with type 2 AIP based on typical pancreatic imaging, supportive histology, history of ulcerative colitis, and steroid responsiveness.

Objective To improve the diagnosis and treatment of type Ⅰ autoimmune pancreatitis, a study was carried out to summarize the epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestations and diagnosis of autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP).Methods This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of all the patients diagnosed with AIP from January 1998 to December 2016 in the ward of Peking union medical college hospital. Results 194 type 1 AIP patients were enrolled in this study. The M/F ratio of the disease was 3.51/1,with an average age of 57±15 years. The most common symptom is jaundice, abdominal pain and weight loss. The most common diseases of the pancreas are sclerosing cholangitis, salivary glands, IgG4 nephropathy. There are 36.68 percent of AIP patients with diabetes mellitus.IgG4, ANA, ESR, c-reactive protein and CA199 are all contribute to disease diagnosis and follow-up.Pathology, pet-CT and hormone therapy response all contribute to the diagnosis of AIP.Conclusions As a systemic disease, the type 1 AIP has special clinical features and laboratory profiles. The diagnosis of AIP can be applied in many ways.
RESUMEN
Objective The type 1 autoimmune pancreatitis is gradually being recognized, but the type 2 AIP is still very rare in Asia. This paper summarizes the clinical characters of type-2 AIP patients in Peking Union Medical College Hospital. Methods From January 2001 to December 2016,all type 2 AIP hospitalized patients who met the ICDC were included in the study. The clinical data, laboratory results and imaging features of all patients were recorded, verified and follow-up.Results Six patients with type 2 AIP were included in the study. The ratio of men and women was 2/1, with an average age of 38.4 years.67.7% (4/6) patients have UC.37.7% (2/6) of patients were asymptomatic.Three patients were diagnosed by pathology.50% (3/6) of patients showed mass of pancreas, and 50% (3/6) of patients showed pancreatic enlargement. Conclusions The clinical manifestations of the type 2 AIP patients in Peking Union Medical College Hospital are the same as those in foreign countries.
