Résumé

Vocal fold nodules are benign bilateral masses caused by voice abuse. Accent Method [AM] is one of the holistic approaches of behaviour readjustment voice therapy. This study is conducted in order to evaluate the efficacy of the AM in patients with vocal fold nodules. Ten patients with vocal fold nodules are distributed into two groups. Group 1 [G1] is given the full aspect of AM, that is, voice hygiene advice plus the accent exercises. Group 2 [G2] received only voice hygiene advice. After full assessment a follow-up evaluation was done at mid intervention and at the termination of the therapy. The difference in improvement between G1 and G2 at the end of the study was generally significant in favor of G1

Résumé

The aim of this article was to provide a review study for the problem of dysphasia regarding its glossary etiology, the protocol of assessment and the different approaches of its rehabilitation. The investigated and the control groups were evaluated by the same quasiobjective scheme. There was a strong evidence that the rehabilitation program used in this study led to a significant improvement of the scores in the investigated group in comparison with the control. No significant correlation was detected between the age of the patient, the premorbid educational level and the time post onset of dysphasia. On the other hand, the degree of recovery was more noticeable in less severe forms of dysphasia and in posterior lesions than the anterior lesions

Résumé

The stability of casein aggregate was studied using the tensiometric and spectrophotometric titrations. An addition of skim milk powder to fresh milk at three different levels [5, 10 and 15%], both of para- and acid casein, resulted in an increase in the hysteresis area. The maximum addition percentage of skim milk powder sufficient to produce a favorable cured was 15%. Buffalo's and cow's casein micelles in form of para-and acid casein, behave the same upon hysteretic titrations. The width of hysteresis of casein from skim milk powder was greater than that from unheated fresh milk
