Résumé

The mosquitocidal plant extracts of the myrrh Commiphora molmol; namely, oil and oleoresin demonstrated larvicidal activity against Culex pipiens larvae. Oleoresin induced a significant higher toxic action than oil. Solvent did not perform any toxic activity. The impact of both oleoresin and oil extracts on the protein profile of the treated larvae was evaluated in order to explain their mode of action. Electrophoretic analysis of total proteins, lipoproteins and glycoproteins revealed an inhibitory action of the used plant extracts on the protein contents. Larvicidal activity of the oleoresin and oil was related to the loss of certain enzymes inhibited by these extracts which affected the metabolic processes

Résumé

The activity of nitroso urea, aziridines and alkylating agents as antineoplastics is limited because of their side effects despite their efficiency. To overcome these limits, the study proposed the synthesis of glycosyl N-hydroxyaziridines and hydroxyurea analogues of amino acids. Derivatives of the type [1, 2 and 3] have been synthesized. The structures of the obtained compounds were confirmed on the basis of their IR, 1H-NMR, MS, EPR and CD spectra

Résumé

The results revealed that the very sensitive test of activity, the circum-oval precipitin test which was more intense in early intestinal infection with diffuse cellular reaction rich in eosinphils than in late cases with tendency to granuloma formation and fibrosis and with hepatosplenomegaly. Also this test was more intense in intestinal haematobiasis than mansoniasis
