Résumé

Twenty two patients underwent Bristow's operation. They were followed up for 4 years. The results were 16 excellent, 4 good and 2 fair. 1 had no re-dislocation in this series. This operation has the advantage of producing, if any, minor limitation of external rotation of the shoulder and patients could return to their previous athletic activities. The Bristow's operation presented here has the advantages of restoring nearly full range of shoulder movements and muscle power, short post-operative convalescence and of being relatively easy to learn and perfect
