RÉSUMÉ
Objetivo. Conocer las característica clínicas de los linfomas no Hodgkin (LNH) en un hospital general. Material y Métodos. Se realizo un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo, observacional de tipo serie de casos en pacientes con LHN registrados en el servicio de Oncología Médica del Hospital Loayza, desde enero del 2005 a diciembre del 2009. Resultados. Se identificó a 114 pacientes con el diagnóstico de LNH; mujeres 52.6%; edad promedio 58,7% años. Entre las características clínicas observadas: linfoadenopatías 66,7%, pérdida de peso 51,8%; síntomas B 57,0%; y, compromiso extraganglionar 50%. El tipo histológico más frecuente fue el LNH de células grandes difuso (63,2%), seguido por el folicular (15,8%). La mayoría de los pacientes presentó un estadio clínico avanzado: IV (46,8%) y III (35,5%). Conclusión. La mayoría de los casos tuvo una enfermedad avanzada, el tipo histológico más frecuente fue el LNH de células grandes difuso y el inmunofenotipo más frecuente fue el B.
Objective. To determine the Clinical characteristics of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) in a general hospital. Material and Methods. We carried out a descriptive, retrospective, observational case series in patients with NHL registered in the medical oncology service of the National Hospital Arzobispo Loayza of Lima, from January 2005 to December 2009. Results. We identified 114 patients with the diagnosis of NHL: female 52.6%, mean age 58, 7% year-old. Clinically, it was observed lymphadenopathy 66,7%; weight 51,8%; and, B symptoms 57,0%; and, extranodal involvement 50%. The most common histologic type was diffuse large cell (63,2) followed by follicular (15,8%). Most patients had advanced clinical stage: IV (46,8%) and III (35,5%). Conclusion. It was noted that most of the patients had advanced disease and the most frequent histology and immunophenotype was diffuse type B large cell NHL.
