AN OVERVIEW OF STRENGTHENING ELEMENTARY EDUCATION FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: A LITERATURE REVIEW

This paper focused on empowering elementary education as an effective tool for national development. The purpose of the study is to nd out the strategies to strengthen elementary education. Education is an overall process of not only personal growth but an enriching growth of society and nation. It is the foundation of development of any nation. Educated youth have the ability to think beyond their stagnating lives and contribute to the development of their societies. Education arms individuals with the knowledge of their rights and duties. It is informed citizenry which forms the base for the development of any society (Ram 2020)
