Endoscopic therapy of colonic volvolus

Endoscopic therapy for colonic volvulus is an important and valuable advancement in the management of this disorder. It can be easily performed successfully in the majority of cases. In sigmoid volvulus, it stabilizes a patients for elective surgery with a significant reduction in the mortality. Early diagnosis and management are mandatory.
