RÉSUMÉ

Primary amenorrhoea is usually the result of genetic and anatomic abnormality. A focused medical history, a directed physical examination and appropriate diagnostic tests are needed to diagnose the underlying cause. Chromosomal abnormalities are the most common cause for primary amenorrhoea, however other causes should also be considered. Treatment for disorders of primary amenorrhoea is determined by the underlying cause
