Résumé

Anthranilic acid in the leaves of Isatidis indigotica Fort. was determined by first orderderivative UV spectrophotometry. The average recovery was 96.66% and the coefficient of deviation was1.09%. The method showed no significant difference as compared with high performance capillary elec-trophoresis at 95% confidence level. The method is simple, rapid and accurate.

Résumé

Morphological and histological characteristies of the root (Banlamgon ) and leat (Daqiingye ) of lsatis indigotica Fort. derived from the autoteraploid (2n = 28) and its parent diploid (2n = 14 ) were compared macroscopically and microscopically. Results showed that expression of poly ploidy giantism resulting from chromosome duplication were evident not only among organs but also among tissues of the same organ. Leaves of the tetraploid contained 1 .79~3.11?g/mg more indigo than the diploid near the harvest time.Inerease of indirubin was also obvious.polysaccharide in the leave showed no much difference but that in the root was doubled and total amino acid was increased by 4.8%.

Object To investigate the nootropic activity of emodin 8 O ? D glucopyranoside, the active principle of Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata(PMEG), and its mechanism of action Methods Nootropic activity was evaluated with step down test of mice, and its nootropic mechanism studied by its antiacetylcholinesterase (anti AchE) effect on mice brain in vivo and in vitro as determined by pectrophotometry Results PMEG (ig) significantly improved the learning and memory of both normal and intelectual deficit mice induced by scopolamine PMEG showed dose dependent inhibition of AchE, and the antiacetylcholinesterase effect is reversible both in vivo and in vitro In acute experiment, the half recovery time of AchE is 115 min, and 165 min in chronic experiment Conclusion PMEG showed good nootropic activity, and it is a reversible AchE inhibitor

Résumé

The isolated vessel elements from the xylem in Chinese Sarcandra species were observed by scanning electron microscope and optical microscope. The vessel elements with simple pits or (and) bor dered pits or (and) scalariform pits or (and) circular-scalariform pits in their secondary walls are 1200-1900 in length and all have scalariform multiperforation plates in which the numbers of bars are between 60 to 160.
