Résumé
Objetiva-se, aqui, discutir os sentidos que meninos e meninas produzem em relação aos espaços da casa, da rua e da escola. Considerando as condições sociais, econômicas e culturais do lugar onde vivem, procurou-se compreender como produzem os sentidos que passam a construir suas identidades de gênero, sexo, raça e classe social. Realizaram-se grupos de discussão e entrevistas individuais com estudantes de uma escola municipal da zona leste de Porto Alegre (RS). A compreensão da Produção de Sentidos foi realizada a partir dos pressupostos teórico metodológicos do Construcionismo Social. A rua é associada a marginalidade, perigo e violência, gerando um constante medo de serem confundidos com bandidos. Já a escola representa, junto com a casa, um lugar onde eles podem ter segurança e educação e que podem proporcionar uma oportunidade de mudança devida e mobilidade social. A casa também é compreendida como um lugar estressante, triste e problemático.
This study has the goal of discussing the meanings that girls and boys produce, related to places such as the home, the street and the school. Considering the social, economics, cultural conditions of the place they live in, we have tried to understand how they produce meanings, that construct their gender, sex, race and social class identities. Discussion groups and sixteen individual interviews were made, with students of a municipal school, located in a poor community. The comprehension of themeaning production was made through theoretic and methodological of Social Construcionism approach. The street is associated to marginality, danger and violence, creating a fear of beingmistaken with bandits. Therefore the school represents, beside the home, a place where these girls and boys can have security and education and that can offer the possibility of changing their lives and have social mobility. The homes also understood as a stressing, sad and problematic place.
