Application of axial-pattern composite tissue flap to the repair of skin defects after lip cancer resection / 中华皮肤科杂志

Objective To evaluate the performance of axial-pattern composite tissue flap in the repair of skin defects after lip cancer resection.Methods From July 2012 to December 2017,8 patients with lip cancer were enrolled from Department of Dermatology,the Second Hospital of Jilin University.After lip tumor resection,the full-thickness defects were as long as 1/3 to 1/2 length of the lip,and were repaired with axial-pattern composite tissue flaps based on labial arteries.Results All the axial-pattern composite tissue flaps survived after the surgery.During the follow-up of 6 months to 5 years,no tumor recurrence was observed in the 8 patients,the shape and function of lips were improved,and the patients were satisfied.Conclusion Skin defects after lip cancer surgery can be repaired with axial-pattern composite tissue flaps based on labial arteries,which can restore the anatomical structure and aesthetic function of the lip well.

Effect of vinyl chloride on liver function and serum sex hormones in male workers / 中国职业医学

OBJECTIVE: To explore the effect of vinyl chloride on the blood sex hormones and liver function of male workers. METHODS: A total of 129 male vinyl chloride workers(exposure group) and 128 male office workers who were not exposed to occupational hazards(control group) were selected as study subjects by judgment sampling method. The time weighted average concentration(C_(TWA)) of vinyl chloride in the workplace air was measured. The level of urine thiodiglycolic acid(TDGA), blood routine, electrocardiogram and liver B-ultrasound were performed on the subjects. The serum levels of liver function and sex hormones were measured. RESULTS: The median of C_(TWA) of vinyl chloride in the workplace was 0.90 mg/m~3, and the geometric mean was 1.40 mg/m~3. The level of urine TDGA in the exposed group was higher than that of the control group(median: 0.68 vs 0.02 mg/g Cr, P<0.01). The abnormal rate of hemoglobin level, erythrocyte count, leukocyte count, hematocrit, mean platelet volume, aspartate transaminase, total bilirubin, indirect bilirubin and liver B-ultrasound increased in the exposure group than that of the control group(P<0.05). The levels of serum prolactin, leuteinizing hormone(LH), follicle-stimulating hormone and estradiol in the exposure group increased, the abnormal rates of prolactin, LH and estradiol increased, and the level of testosterone decreased compared with the control group(P<0.05). The levels of prolactin in the low-, medium-and high-TDGA subgroups in the exposure group increased(P<0.05), and the abnormal rates increased compared with the control group(P<0.017). CONCLUSION: Vinyl chloride can cause liver function damage in male workers and have reproductive toxicity. Prolactin can be used as a biomarker of reproductive toxicity of vinyl chloride.

A meta-analysis of the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture intervention in gastrointestinal function after gynecilogical and obstetrical operations / 国际中医中药杂志

Objective To systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture intervention in gastrointestinal function after gynecilogical and obstetrical operations. Methods Databases of SinoMed (1997-2017), VIP (1997-2017), Wanfang (1997-2017), CNKI (2007-2017), PubMed (1997-2017) and Cochrane Library (2017 fourth) were searched by computers (supplemented by manual searching). The randomized controlled trials were included on the gastrointestinal function recovery after acupuncture intervention in gynecilogical and obstetrical operations. The data were extracted independently and cross-checked by two evaluators. Then the quality was evaluated according to the Cochrane system assessor manual 4.2.8, and RevMan 5.3 software was used for meta-analysis. Results A total of 1192 patients were included in 14 randomized controlled trials. Meta-analysis showed that the effective rate [OR=6.09, 95％ CI (2.91, 12.75), P<0.01], the time to first passage of feces [MD=-14.72,95％ CI(-16.00, -13.44),P<0.01], the time to first bowel motion [MD=-8.81, 95％ CI (-10.34, -7.28), P<0.01] and the time to first flatus [MD=-11.84, 95％ CI (-15.31, -8.36), P<0.01] in the acupuncture group were higher than those in control group. Conclusions Acupuncture intervention in gynecilogical and obstetrical operations was safe and effective for gastrointestinal function recovery of patients. However, the above conclusions are required to have further validation with more highly qualified randomized controlled trials for the limited number of literature and the low quality of some studies.

Epidemiological analysis of Hand-Foot-Mouth disease in Renqiu city from 2010 to 2012 / 中国基层医药

Objective To analyze the condition and characteristics of hand-foot-mouth disease ( HFMD) from 2010 to 2012 in Renqiu city.Methods Surveillance and detecetion of HFMD was collected according to Renqiu city system for diseases control and prevention .The pathogen of HFMD severe case was deteceted .Results 12 293 cases including 735 severe cases were recorded in Renqiu city from 2010 to 2012,The highest of the resident population was in 2012 and the lowest one was in 2010(r=0.47,P<0.05).The total morbidity presented the obvious seasonal char-acteristic,which reached the summit in June ,July,August.The population morbidity was the clustered children .The average incidence rate of severe cases was 5.98%.The incidence rate in 2012 and 2011 was higher than that in 2010 (r=0.43,0.39,all P<0.05).There was significant difference of the pathogens types in severe cases among three years with the pathogen of CoxA 16 in 2010,2011 and humantero virus 71 viruses in 2012.Conclusion The inci-dence of HFMD presents the increasing and seasonal characteristics with the prevalence in the scattered children and the pathogens of CoxA16 in 2010,2011,humantero virus 71 in 2012.

Contact tracing of a possible case of HIV sexual transmission by using Miseq platform / 中华预防医学杂志

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>An approach for analysis of HIV quasispecies using Miseq high-throughput sequencing platform (hereinafter referred to as Miseq platform) was established and applied to contact tracing for a possible case of HIV sexual transmission.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Four plasma specimens were collected from 2 HIV infections (P1 and P2) suspected to be involved in the sexual transmission and 2 local HIV infections as controls (P3 and P4). The RNAs were extracted from the specimens and then reverse-transcribed into cDNA. After HIV subtyping, Miseq platform was performed to detect and sequence the HIV quasispecies (352 bp) in each specimen. The frequency of quasispecies was counted and ranked. Intrapersonal and interpersonal genetic distance and phylogenetic tree were calculated by using the top 5, 20, 100, 500, and all quasispecies, respectively.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The subtypes of HIV from all 4 specimens were CRF01_AE. 23 788 to 37 397 cleaned sequences representing 1 229 to 1 412 unique HIV quasispecies were obtained from these specimens by using Miseq platform. The average genetic distance (3.5%-4.5%) between quasispecies from specimens P2 and P1 was significantly lower than that (10.3%-19.6%) between quasispecies from P2 and the controls (P3 or P4). Phylogenetic tree analysis indicated that sequences from specimens P1 and P2 clustered together while sequences from P3 and P4 exhibited completely independent clusters. When the top 20 or more quasispecies from each specimen were analyzed, sequences from P1 showed a paraphyletic relationship with those from P2, which may indicated that the direction of HIV transmission was from P1 to P2.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>With the feature of convenient and economic operation, Miseq platform has high practical value in contact tracing of possible HIV transmission.</p>

Effective Connectivity of Resting-state Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Normal Adults / 中国康复理论与实践

@#Objective To detect the effective connectivity of resting- state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in normal adults. Methods 36 normal adults were performed resting-state fMRI scanning, and 5 brain netwokes were included as regions of interests. Independent component (ICA) was used to evaluate the effective connectivity, and multivariate Granger causality analysis (mGCA) was used to analyze the casuality between the networks. All preprocessing steps were carried out using Statistical Parametric Mapping 5.0 software. Results 5 classic resting brain networks including default mode network (DMN), memory network (MeN), motor network (MoN), auditory network (AN) and executive control network (ECN) were aquired. The mGCA presented significant casuality between DMN and other 4 networks, MeN and ECN, AN and MoN, ECN and AN. Conclusion There are specific brain effective connectivity of resting-state fMRI in normal adults, and there is significant causal link between these networks.

Detection of HIV-1 p24 based on gold nanoparticle probe and PCR / 中华检验医学杂志

ObjectiveTo establish a novel assay for HIV-1 p24 ultrasensitive detection based on Gold Nanoparticle Probe (GNP) and PCR.MethodsSandwich ELISA method was established by a pair of anti-p24 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs),1G12 and 1D4,and was used to detect recombinant HIV-1 p24 antigen.The bio-barcode DNA was 47 bp,selected from genome of Arabidopsis,and formed double-stranded DNA by hybridization with the capture DNA (complementary with bio-barcode DNA) modified with sulfhydryl.Then double-stranded DNA were conjugated on the surface of 1D4-modified gold nanoparticles by sulfhydryl,and the Gold Nanoparticle Probe was produced.1G12 was precoated in the micropaltes,and in the presence of target recombinant HIV-1 p24 protein,a sandwich immuno-complex would form by adding GNP.Then the bio-barcode DNA in the immuno-complex were released by heating as detection signal,and consequently characterized by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with synthesized special primers and analyzed by 4％ agar gel electrophoresis,so HIV-1 p24 antigen could be evaluated.The sensitivity comparison between the new assay and ELISA can be done.ResultsSandwich ELISA was used to quantify HIV-1 p24 antigen by monoclonal antibodies 1G12 and 1D4,and the limit of detection (LOD) was 1000 pg/ml.The new GNP assay was established by the same pair of antibodies,combined with PCR and agar gel electrophoresis,and was used to indirectly detect HIV-1 p24 antigen.The band intensity of PCR products paralleled with the quantity of HIV-1 p24 antigen,and the limit of detection (LOD) could reach down to 1 pg/ml.ConclusionThe new assay based on GNP and PCR was efficient in the detection of HIV-1 p24,which is at least 3 orders of magnitude more sensitive than traditional ELISA.

Effect of tacrolimus on neural behaviors and memory of rats with traumatic brain injury / 中国组织工程研究

BACKGROUND:At present, many researches have shown that tacrolimus has protecting effect on peripheral nerves,however,whether tacrolimus has a similar effect on central neural system has not been known yet.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of tacrolimus on neural behaviors and memory by observing the neural behaviors and detecting the expression of synaptophysin in cortex,hippocampus and basipodite.DESIGN:Parallel and before and post contrast study.SETTING:Department of neurosurgery, affiliated hospital of the two medical universities.MATERIALS:The experiment was carried out in the Laboratory of Department Neurosurgery,Shanghai Changzheng Hospital in November 2002.Twenty-four qualified Sprague-Dawley rats supplied by Shanghai Experimental Animal Center of medical institution of Fudan University,with body mass of 180-220 g,were randomly divided into three groups:control, injury and treatment,with 8 rats in each group.INTERVENTIONS:Anesthesia was induced by administration of sodium pentobarbital(with the concentration of 20 g/L,40 mg/kg) twenty-four hours before the operation.The coup energy was 151.95-172.21 kPa that was equal to medium injury. The control rats did not receive the coup. Tacrolimus was given to the treatment group in the dosage of 1 mg/kg body weight by intraperitoneal injection at 5 minutes post trauma. The drug was given once physiological saline. Before and post trauma (on the third and seventh day)all rats Accepted Beam Walking Test,Beam Balance Test and Memory Test,respectively. One week after trauma,all rats' heads was removed and the brain was taken out within seconds.The hippocampus,cortex and basipodite of the traumatic hemisphere were kept in methanal with the concentration of 4 percent. Immunohistochemistry and image analysis system were used to study the expression of synaptophysin in cortex,hippocampus and basipodite of the traumatic hemisphere.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ①The performance records of neural behaviors and memory of the three groups. ②Results of the expression of synaptophysin in cortex, hippocampus and basipodite of the three groups.③Apoptotic cellscalculation of synaptophysin in cortex,hippocampus and basipodite.RESULTS:Totally 24 rats entered the final analysis. ①On the third day and the seventh day,the scores recorded in Walking Test and Balance Test of the treatment group were less than those in the injury group[Walking Test: (7.5±2.5) s,(5.5±2.1) s,(10.5±2.5) s,(8.2±2.5) s. Balance Test:(3.4±0.5)score,(2.5±0.2) score,(5.7±0.2) score,(5.0±0.5) score,P ＜ 0.05-0.01].But the scores recorded in memory test of the treatment group were still more than those in the control group,memory test[(4.9±1.7) s,(6.2±2.3) s,(4.0±1.5) s,(4.4±2.6) s,P ＜ 0.05-0.01]. ②The expression of synaptophysin in cortex,hippocampus and basipodite in the treatment group was still more than that in the injury group(140.36±3.87, 45.52±2.16,31.67±2.35,96.25±2.85,24.35±2.47,20.49±2.08,P ＜ 0.01);The expression of synaptophysin control group was especially more than that in treatment group (162.24±3.52,50.58±2.31,42.69±2.53, P ＜ 0.01).Apoptotic cells calculation of cortex,hippoeampus and basipodite in treatment group was far less than those in injury group,(10.37±2.12)%,(18.39±2.87)%, (12.78±2.45)%,(21.14±4.85)%,(38.57±3.78)%, (21.18±4.59)%,P ＜ 0.01].And apoptotic cells calculation in injury group was more than those in control group [(3.85±2.56)%,(4.96±2.15)%, (3.52±2.17)%,P ＜ 0.01].CONCLUSION:Tacrolimus can facilitate the expression of synaptophysin,refrain from calcineurin involving in the process of transcription-dependent and nontranscription-dependent apoptosis,and can also contribute to the recovery of memory and neural behaviors post trauma.

The comparison of aneurysmal necks measured on three dimensional reconstruction images of rotational DSA and those of traditional DSA / 介入放射学杂志

Objective To evaluate the value of three dimensional reconstruction images of rotational DSA on measuring aneurysmal necks and make a comparison with traditional DSA so as to provide more abundant and accurate informations for the enbolization of aneurysm. Methods A comparison was made between the measurement of aneurismal necks from 14 cases with traditional DSA examination and a measurement made on three dimensional reconstruction images of the same patient. Results There was a difference shown in the measurment of the aneurysmal necks between three dimensional reconstruction images of rotational DSA and those of traditional DSA, outcoming with more angles and data on three dimensional reconstruction images. Conclusions There are more angles of aneurysmal neck can be shown on rotational 3D DSA especially for the demonstration of the largest aneurysmal neck with a directional value for the intervention. Quality evaluation and proficiency testing of HIV confirmatory laboratories in China / 中国输血杂志

Objective To evaluate the quality and proficiency testing of HIV confirmatory laboratories in China.Methods Sevenyear consecutive assessments of the laboratories added up to 297 times,including function and serum technology evaluations from 1997 to 2004.Questionnaires were used for the evaluation of function,including laboratory quality management, training and quality validation of the lower level laboratories.The serum technology evaluation used the same serum panel to screen HIV antibody and perform western blot(WB) confirmatory test.The two parts of evaluation results gave 100 scores each with excellent(above 95),good(81～95),pass(71～80),weak(60～70) and failure(below 60).Results The consistency rate between ELISA and WB in all laboratories was above 85 percent from 1998 to 2004,with a rate above 95 percent from 2001 to 2004.The excellent rates were all above 55 percent during these years,among which the highest is 91.67 percent in 2003.Only one laboratory failed in 1999.Conclusion The strict quality evaluation shows the testing ability of HIV confirmatory laboratory is improving year by year.The standardized management,performed with the training,validation and technical guidance to the lower level laboratory would continuously improve the quality of HIV confirmatory laboratories.
