Résumé

Nowadays traumatic injuries are the third cause of mortality in human societies and vascular injury as a main part of them are one of the main problems in medicine. Tissue ischemia resulted from vascular injuries is an emergency and if it continues irreversible ischemia and damage will result after 6 hours. In vascular injuries, early diagnosis and treatment is very important. Since the causes, types and resulting damages are different in our country from developed countries, we designed this study to compare these factors based on angiography which is the method of choice in vascular injuries. In this descriptive - analytical study, 75 patients with vascular injuries were studied by angiography in Imam Khomeini Hospital of Tabriz during 12 months. 94.7% of our patients were male and remaining 5.3% were female. The most common cause of trauma in this study was traffic accidents [93.3%] and the most common site of trauma was leg [62.2%] and associated fracture was detected in 86.75% of cases. The most common fracture was double fracture of leg [55.4%]. The most common injured artery was anterior tibial artery [36%] and the most common type of vascular injuries was complete arterial occlusion [62.7%]. Vascular injuries were more common in young males than the other groups and the most common cause was blunt trauma specially motorcycle accidents

Résumé

This survey was conducted in a group of patients referred for angiography of the abdominal aorta and kidney vascularization. The purpose of the examination was to assess the number and site of origin of the renal arteries and their entrance to kidneys. A total of 516 patients were enrolled in this study, most of them being donors and the remaining other type of patients. Angiography in these patients was done through the common femoral and brachial arteries and in case of interventing obstructions, translumbar catheterization was performed. In most cases DSA is employed. Among the 516 patients in 162 cases number of the renal arteries was more than one for a single or both kidneys. Altogether in 31.4% of the patients one accessory artery was present for right kidney and the same was true for 59 patients for left kidney. Two accessory arteries reached for right kidney in 41 persons and in 15 persons for left kidney. In 21 patients multiple accessory arterial branches were found penetrating one or both kidneys. These arteries numbered about 5 and 6 and had very slender branches. In evaluated cases multiple branches entered the kidneys, the branches emerging from above or below the main renal artery and centering to one or both kidneys. These arteries can also emerge from other abdominal main branches, even thoracic aorta or iliac arteries. It is better to mark them to urologist surgeons as a main map for surgery, especially in donors

Résumé

The hepatic artery aneurysms are rare, especially in interahepatic branches. The frequency consists of 75-80% extrahepatic and 20-25% intrahepatic. Catheterization is achieved usually from common femoral artery, other methods implemented in the case of unsuccessful catheterization from femoral artery, are translumbar and brachial catheterization. The study consist of 565 patients that were referred to the angiography ward. During seven years of assessment, five cases of hepatic artery aneurysm were found; this is a rare condition reported in the english literature. In the literature as well as in this case report the hepatic artery aneurysms are rare. In reported series the extrahepatic artery aneurysms are found more often than in the intrahepatic artery aneurysm but in this case report intrahepatic artery aneurysms are more than extrahepatic one
