LBD(lateral organ boundaries)transcription factors play an important role in the regulation of plant growth, development and secondary metabolism. In order to explore the function of LBD genes in cannabis, the Cannabis sativa genome and transcriptome were used to identify the C. sativa LBD gene family, and analyzed their expression patterns. Our results showed that the cannabis LBD contains 32 members, which were divided into two major categories, seven sub-families. Class Ⅰ was divided into 5 sub-families, named Class Ⅰ_a to Class Ⅰ_e, while Class Ⅱ was divided into 2 sub-families, including Class Ⅱ_a and Class Ⅱ_b. Analysis showed that the number of amino acids encoded LBDs was between 172 and 356, and the isoelectric point was between 4.92 and 9.43. The mole-cular weight of LBD was between 18 862.92 Da and 40 081.33 Da, and most members are located in the nucleus. Chromosome positioning of LBD showed that 32 members were unevenly distributed on 10 chromosomes of C. sativa LBD transcription factor domain, gene structure and motifs are relatively conservative, and the characteristics of different class members are similar. The upstream promoter region of the gene contains a variety of cis-acting elements related to plant hormones and environmental factors, C. sativa LBD genes have different expression patterns in the stems, leaves, and flowers of ZYS varieties(low tetrahydrocannabinol, high cannabidiol). The members of the LBD gene family are mainly expressed in the flowers and stems of ZYS varieties, while members expressed in the leaves very few; Class Ⅱ members CsLBD21 and CsLBD23 are expressed in flowers and stems, and CsLBD8 and CsLBD18 are expressed in flowers, stems and leaves. These genes may participate in the growth and development of cannabis and affect the biosynthesis of cannabinoids. This study laid the foundation for the subsequently functional research of the cannabis LBD gene family.

<p><b>AIM</b>To explore the role of femoral nerves section (FNS) on the protection of limb ischemic preconditioning (LIP) against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injuries.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Model of brain ischemia induced by Four-vessel occlusion was used. LIP was performed by clamping the bilateral femoral arteries for 10 min 3 times in a interval of 10 min. Rats with vertebral arteries permanently occluded were divided into sham group, cerebral ischemic group, FNS + cerebral ischemic group, LIP + cerebral ischemic group, FNS + LIP + cerebral ischemic group. The changes of neural density (ND) in the CA1 hippocampus were observed 7d after the sham operation or brain ischemia under thionin staining. The expression of c-Fos in the CA1 hippocampus was measured 6 h after the sham operation or brain ischemia under immunohistochemistry method.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Thionin staining revealed that serious neuronal damage was visualized in the CA1 hippocampus in both cerebral ischemic group and FNS + cerebral ischemic group as compared with sham group. LIP attenuated the neuronal damage of the CA1 subfield induced normally by cerebral ischemia/reperfusion, and ND in LIP + cerebral ischemic group was significantly higher than that in cerebral ischemic group (P < 0.01). But obvious neuronal damage of the CA1 subfield was found in FNS+ LIP + cerebral ischemic group, and ND was significantly decreased as compared with LIP + cerebral ischemic group (P < 0.01). These results suggested that the protection of LIP against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injuries might be cancelled by preceding section of femoral nerve. It was found that there was almost no c-Fos expression in the CA1 hippocampus in sham group. Changes of c-Fos expression in the CA1 subfield in cerebral ischemic group were similar to that in sham group. But in LIP + cerebral ischemic group, c-Fos expression in the CA1 subfield was markedly increased and the number of positive cells and optical density of c-Fos expression were significantly higher than those in sham and cerebral ischemic group. c-Fos expression in the CA1 subfield was again decreased in FNS + LIP + cerebral ischemic group, and the number of positive cells and optical density of c-Fos expression were significantly lower than those in LIP + cerebral ischemic group.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Neural pathway participated in the protective effect of LIP on brain, and increased c-Fos expression in the CA1 hippocampus by LIP after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion, might be a part of neural pathway by which LIP induced brain ischemic tolerance.</p>

Objective To assess the CT manifestations and diagnostic value in the pancreatic tuberculosis(PTB)with review of the literatures. Methods All cases of PTB proved by surgery or biopsy were examined with plain and enhanced CT scans. Results The CT findings in one case with multiple-nodular type of PTB were diffuse enlargement of the pancreas with multiple, nodular, and low-density lesions; The nodular lesions had peripheral enhancement. 7 cases of local type of PTB encroached on pancreatic head. 4 cases showed local soft tissue masses with multiple flecked calcifications in 2 cases and mild enhancement in one case; Cystic masses was found in 2 cases, with mural calcification in 1 case and multiloculated cystic mass in 1 case, respectively; Massive pancreatic head calcification was demonstrated in one case. In these 8 cases of PTB, the lesion extended out of pancreas in 4 cases, including abdominal tuberculous lymph nodes, tuberculous peritonitis, and hepatosplenic tuberculosis. Conclusion CT findings of PTB were various but had some characteristics. Pancreatic masses with multiple flecked calcification or mild enhancement could suggest the diagnosis. Abdominal tuberculosis accompanied with the pancreatic lesion, especially tuberculous lymph nodes, was highly suggestive of the diagnosis of PTB.

AIM: To observe the role of c-fos in the protection by cholecystokinin-octapeptide (CCK-8) against pulmonary artery smooth muscle cell (PASMC) injury induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). METHODS: The ultrastructure of PASMC was observed under transmission electron microscope (TEM). MDA content,LDH release and the rate of trypan blue in PASMC were measured,and immunocytochemistry technique was adopted to observe the c-fos protein expression. RESULTS: The TEM results showed significant PASMC structural injury in LPS group and alleviated structural changes in LPS+CCK-8 group. CCK-8 reduced the increase in the rate of trypan blue uptake,MDA content and LDH release in PASMC induced by LPS. LPS lightly increased c-fos protein expression,which was enhanced by CCK-8. CONCLUSION: CCK-8 attenuated the injury of PASMC induced by LPS,which may be concerned with the increase in c-fos protein expression.
