RÉSUMÉ

This study was to investigate the relationship of dose-effect and time-effect of Alginate-Polylysine-Alginate (APA) microencapsulated bovine chromaffin cells on the treatment of pain model rats. Using a rat model of painful peripheral neuropathy, the antinociceptive effects of APA microencapsulated bovine cells transplanted into the subarachnoid space was evaluated by cold allodynia test and hot hyperalgesia test. Compared with control group, the withdrawal difference with cell number 50 thousands groups, 100 thousands groups and 200 thousands groups was reduced (P < 0.05), and the difference decreased with the cells increases, indicating a significant analgesic effect. There was no significant difference between 400 thousands groups and 200 thousands groups. This analgesic effect maintained longer than 12 weeks. There was a positive correlation between the analgesic effect and the quantity of APA microencapsulated bovine chromaffin cells which were transplanted to treat pain model rats, and the effective antinociception remained longer than 12 weeks.

RÉSUMÉ

Objective To study the dietary nourishment of adult patients with leukemia and compare acute leukemic patients with chronic leukemic patients. Methods Adopting dietary review of 24 hours and seven consecutive days of dietary records method to obtain the food category and quantity of 122 patients with acute leukemia and 10 patients with chronic leukemia. Using statistic software SPSS11.0 to calculate the patients'intake of various kinds of nutfiments. and the difiences between acute and chronic leukemic patients were analyzed. Results The rate of most ontrients of patients'intake reaches RNI/AI is lower, especially vitamin A,vitamin C and caleium. There's a tendency that intake diet, energy and nourishments of acute leukemic patients is lower than that of those chronic leukemic patients. Conclusion There is a tendency of unbalanced dietary intakes in leukemic patients.including the low intakes. There is the tendency that nutritional status of acute leukemic patients iS poorer than that of chronic leukemic patients.

RÉSUMÉ

This article presents the design of a bioreactor using hollow fiber membrane and, isolated hepatocytes of suckling pigs, and the experimental study of its efficacy in vitro. Liver cells were harvested from suckling pigs with collagenase perfusion in situ, and parenchymal and non-parenchymal hepatocytes were cocultured in a hollow fiber module which was rotated sporadically. Bioartificial liver(BAL) was developed using this bioreactor, and the BAL was perfused with ascites of patients suffering from liver cirrhosis. The yield of viable hepatocytes was (6.29 +/- 0.37) x 10(8) cells, and cell viability was greater than 84%. Hepatocytes aggregated to multi-cells spheroids after being rotated every thirty minutes for three hours. The hepatocytes in the bioreactor could synthesize urea. Total billirubin was decreased, and AST was significantly increased in the group of bioreactor, as compared with that in the control group. Glucose decreased in the group of bioreactor, whereas there was no significant descent in the control group; and the difference between the two groups was significant. The above results demonstrate that this bioreactor is effective for decreasing total bilirubin and glucose.

RÉSUMÉ

As a safe and effective treatment method of fulminic hepatic failure and end stage liver disease, hepatocyte transplantation has been widely verified in many animal experiment and clinical research. It has many advantages. For instances, It is safe and easy to perform. It causes little trauma and is convenient for retransplantation. The hepatocytes are less immunogenetic and the cells from one donor liver can be used for several patients, and so on. The cell source, route of transplantation, theoretical basis and clinical application of the method are reviewed in this paper.

RÉSUMÉ

According to traditional theory tumor growth arised from the proliferation of all tumor cells, therefore management mainly aimed at the majority of the cells within cancer tissue. As a result, relapse and metastasis developed often, which caused treatment failure. It was stem cell that makes it possible to treat cancer radically and prevent it from relapsing and metastasizing by specifically killing targeted cancer stem cells and even some old concepts such as tumorigenesis mechanism, cell signaling pathways etc may need to be reevaluated, that raised great challenge to traditional oncotherapy. In this text the origin and existing evidence of cancer stem cell, it's relationship to common stem cell, clinical significance and prospect were reviewed.

Objective To investigate the value of volume reconstruction ( VR ) in showing the ear lesions and to compare with otherpost-processed methods. Methods 15 patients with hearing loss underwent MSCT ultra-high resolution scan with collimation 0.5 mm,pitch 0.5~0.875 and increment 0.1mm.An additional enhanced CT was performed in 10 of 15 cases. The various reconstructions including VR , MPR, SSD, VE, Ray Sum and MIP/MinIP were performed for the comparison of their ability in showing the ear lesions and the invasion of the auditory ossicals and the inner ear of the adjacent tumors. Results VR was the most optimal way, in showing the ear lesions, successionally in descending order was VR, MPR, SSD, MIP/MinIP. Ray Sum and VE were only suitable for showing the lesions of the inner ear and auditory ossicles respectively. Conclusion The data acquired from the scan of MSCT using 0.5 mm collimation can be used in various reconstruction methods including VR, MPR, SSD and MIP/MinIP to display the lesions of the ear and the invasion of the ear fine structures from the plane and three-dimensional view. VR is the best way, which can display the relationship between tumor and facial/auditory nerve, labyrinth .

Objective To study the expression and effect of macrophage inflammatory protein-2(MIP-2) in liver injury induced by ischemia/reperfusion(I/R). Methods Thirty-two rats were randomly divided into 4 groups(8 rats in each group):false operation (control) group and 3, 9, 24 hours reperfusion group. The expression of MIP-2 mRNA in hepatic tissue, MIP-2 protein in plasma, the neutrophil infiltration in liver tissue and serum ALT were measured. Results The expression of MIP-2 mRNA in the ischemic tissue was significantly higher than that in nonischemic tissue (P
