Résumé

Infected aortic aneurysms are rare, but the mortality of patients with infected aortic aneurysms remains high. Open surgical procedures are the standard of care for infected aneurysms of aorta, but the surgical results are often disappointing. The risk factors related to the high mortality include aneurysm rupture and a suprarenal aneurysm location. The classic method for treating infected aneurysms has been aneurysm resection, soft tissue debridement, remote arterial reconstruction out of the field of infection and antibiotics. Infected anuerysms located in the suprarenal aorta are highly lethal because of the need to reimplant the visceral or renal arteries and the graft related complications. We reported here on a case of suprarenal infected aortic aneurysm in a 55-years-old man. We also include a review of the relevant medical literature.

Résumé

Dissection intramural hematoma of the esophagus (DIHO) is a rare, but well-documented condition that is part of the spectrum of acute esophageal injuries; these include the more common Mallory-Weiss tear and Boerhaave's syndrome. This disorder is predominantly seen in women during their sixth or seventh decade and the disease has various etiologies, but the pathogenesis has yet to be clarified. The triad of symptoms for this disorder includes retrosternal pain, hematemesis and odynophagia. It is important to differentiate esophageal submucosal dissection form other disorders that have a similar appearance, such as Mallory-Weiss syndrome and esophageal perforation because the prognosis of DIHO is excellent with conservative therapy and these other diseases require surgical treatment. We report here on a case of a dissecting intramural hematoma of the esophagus that was preoperatively misdiagnosed as the submucosal tumor of the esophagus preoperatively, and it was confirmed by Video-assisted thoracic surgery.

Résumé

Percutaneous suture closure device is known as relatively safe and convenient tool, which can decrease not only bed rest period of patient but also time consuming effort of manual compression of doctor after femoral artery puncture. However [C1], there are also some reports on complication of its use. We report a 62-year-old male patient who had femoral artery endarteritis [0] with pseudoaneurysm as a complication of percutaneous suture closure device after percutaneous coronary angiography [C2]. He was treated successfully by appropriate antibiotics and vessel reconstruction using autologous saphenous vein patch.
