Résumé

The Burn Department is considered a very stressful place in the hospital for all those concerned with the provision of care for the burned patients. The current study aimed to identify the students' level of anxiety and its effect on their clinical achievement at the burn clinical setting. The study included all the nursing students who were assigned to care for burned patients. The Taylor anxiety scale was used to identify the students' level of anxiety. The clinical evaluation scores were obtained for three successive clinical rotations including the burn experience. The results revealed a negative relationship between the second year nursing students' level of anxiety and their clinical achievement [r= -0.15]
