Résumé
Thirty cases of frozen shoulder treated by physical means and who attained full recovery were analysed to identify the factors influencing their recovery period. Their age ranged between 36-72 years with a mean of 53.5 years. The duration of the actual physical treatment ranged between 14-18 months. It was found that the duration of the disease prior to the start of treatment was the only factor that has influenced the period of recovery

A hundred and ninty five top performance Egyptian athletes with athletic muscle injuries were studied to determine the muscles injured in relation to the practical sport discipline. Track and field athletes and football players accounted for 46.7% and 31.8% of the studied cases respectively. Twenty cases of neuropraxic nerve injuries were studied to determine the time needed for full functional recovery. Seventeen of these cases recovered within the conventional limits of time. Three cases, however, showed abnormal prolonged recovery time [130-210 days]. No apparent causes were detected. The probable explanation was suggested. The practical value of this observation was indicated
