Twenty-two patients of injured cervical spine having radiological evidences of cervical canal stenosis and 14 with wide canals taken as control group were submitted to clinical, radiological and follow up assessment. It was found that there were basic differences in the pathological pattern, the mode of recovery, and the basic management principles between both groups; the wide and stenotic canals

Lumbosacral discogenic and stenotic syndromes are often accompanied by minor lower urinary disturbances such as frequency, difficulty. etc. It was found that such minor complaints are often disregarded by both the patient and the surgeon. In this paper, 500 cases complaining of sciatic pain or signs and symptoms of lumbar canal stenosis were subjected to questionnaire concerning the presence or absence of these symptoms. Minor urinary disturbances were detected in 102 of these patients. The questionnaire in these cases was the only approach to discover such problems. These data were correlated with the clinical, myelographic and operative findings. It was found that in patients with minor urinary complaints, myelography may precipitate overt bladder dysfunction. Laminectomy with wide lateral decompression improved these syndromes especially the cases with stenotic canal

Transsphenoidal hypophysectomy was done for 19 patients. Ten acromegalics and 7 non-acromegalic pituitary adenomas. Transsphenoidal pituitary ablation was done for one patient having breast carcinoma with widespread metastasis. The operation was found to be a sure and effective method in acromegalic cases, strictly intrasellar lesions and cases with mild extrasellar extension. Some modifications have been made to simplify the procedure in the nasal and sephenoidal part. The small dural incision and the use of low suction has minimized the C.S.F. rhinorrhea and the intrasellar complications
