RÉSUMÉ
Comparative studies to evaluate the immunogenic of the local inactivated combined vaccine incorporating IBR,PI-3 and BVD viruses prepared from the local isolates growth in MDBK cell line and inactivated by binary ethyleneimine and adsorbed with 20%. Alhydrogel adjuvant, and the imported inactivated vaccine which contains PI-3, IBR and BVD-MD and respiratory syncytia vaccine [Triangle 4]. The kinetics of immune response are elicited by ELISA Immuno Assay [EIA] and serum neutralization test [SNT] against the same component of the vaccine. The protective capacity of each vaccine was studied by challenge exposure which was performed at one month post vaccination [PV] assured that vaccinated animals resisted infection well. The non vaccinated control infected animal showed a high rate of thermal reaction and viraemia. The results of virus isolation could be confirmed by fluorescent antibody technique. The present data explained a significant higher degree of immunogenicity demonstrated with the local prepared vaccine than the imported against all the same categories of the two vaccines

In this study, freeze dried inactivated bovine rota virus [BRV] vaccine was prepared on Madin Darby Bovine Kidney [MDBK] cell line using Nebraska strain virus. The initial titre was 10[8] TCID[50] /ml and the virus was inactivated by using binary ethyleneimine at concentration 1%. Gelatine was used as adjuvant 0.5% at the final concentration. In activated BRV vaccine was proved to be safe and potent when inoculated in mice, guinea -pigs and calves. Immune response of vaccinated calves was studied using serum neutralization test [SNT] and Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay [ELISA]. The titre of BRV antibodies started to appear at 2 weeks post vaccination [WPV] reached 0.8 +/- 0.17 log[10] with a peak 1.65 +/- 0.17 at f 6 WPV and gradually decreased 0.75 +/- 0.17 log[10] at 24 WPV

Nine cytopathic bovine rota virus strains were isolated in MA104 cells from fecal specimens of calves. Plaque assay was used for selection, titration and purification of small and large plaques of selected rota virus strains. Electron microscopy was used to detect the presence of particles with rota virus morphology in MA104 cells. Virus neutralization test was used for further identification of strains of high immunogenic response. Pooling of these isolated and their use in making a formalized-inactivated bovine rota vaccine was tried
