Anti-diabetic activity of andrographis stenophylla leaf

The anti-diabetic efficacy of methanol extract of the leaf of Andrographis stenophylla was evaluated in normal, glucose loaded and alloxan induced diabetic rats. The methanol extract, at the doses examined [50 mg and 100 mg p.o.] exhibited significant hypoglycemic activity in all the three animal models when compared with the control group.
