Résumé
Este estudo procurou entender algumas questões que envolvem a escolarização e o lazer no Colégio Técnico da UFMG (Coltec), as quais tensionam o cotidiano dessa escola. A partir de um levantamento bibliográfico, no intuito de contextualizar o problema a ser investigado, do emprego da Observação nas intermediações da instituição, e, posteriormente, do uso de Grupos Focais, estabeleceram-se três categorias, que foram exploradas no diálogo com as questões levantadas no estudo. A pesquisa revelou que os jovens vivenciam o lazer através dos interstícios escolares, brechas no tempo que encontram entre as aulas e em horário de almoço, e a partir de práticas transgressivas. O trabalho mostrou, ainda, que os jovens se constituem em distintos grupos culturais, marcados por afinidades e sociabilidades e que necessitam de incentivo aos diversos tipos de conhecimento que podem ser adquiridos na escola.
This study sought to understand a few of the issues involving education and recreation at the Colégio Técnico da UFMG (Coltec), which tension the daily routine of the school. From a literature review, in order to contextualize the problem to be investigated, the use of Observation in the vicinity of the institution, and subsequently the use of Focal Groups, established three categories, which were explored in the dialogue with questions raised in the study. The survey revealed that the youngsters experience leisure through school interstices, gaps in time which are between classes and lunch time, and from transgressive practices. The inquiry also showed that the youngsters constitute themselves in distinct cultural groups, marked by affinities and sociability and the need to approach various types of knowledge that can be acquired at school.
