Résumé

Iraq contains many historical archaeological and religious ancient monuments, which certify and show its deep rooted civilization in the history among these archaeological ancient monuments is [Al - Qaseer site] which lies [55 km] to the north west of kerbala province, [5 km] to the north of Al - Ukeidir castle, [17 km] to the south of [Ein Al - Tamer] district center, and in a land that is lower [5 m] than the neighbored land. The site belongs, according to the archaeological digging which have been done by the Iraqi museum of antiquities, to Arab Christians in the northern desert of the western plateau of Iraq. It contains a group of wonderful archaeologies. It is thought that the fifth or the sixth century is the data of performing the mains constructions of this site. Al - Qaseer church is considered the most prominent civilized ancient monuments there which was mentioned by Al - Hamawi that it lies in Iraq. The church was built by stone and was covered by gypsum. Its shape is oblong, surrounded by dust fence supported by stone towers that are close to each other. The main entrance of the church lies in the western space side while the other entrances of the church are distributed on its northern and southern space sides. Al - Qaseer site also contains, in addition no the main church, another church for religious rituals and it lies in the middle of a huge cemetery for Arab Christians. Excavations showed that it also contains a lot of gypsum coffins contains human an skeletons. Another prominent ancient monuments are caves in western part of Al - Qaseer site out of the fence, which consists of many monk's cells and vessels for the monks and worshipers. They are engraved in the ground. This archaeological site lies administratively with the borders of Ein Al - Tamer district which is related to Kerbala province. It represents a wonderful tourism districts since it contains many religious and archaeologist ancient monuments; like: Al - Ukeidir castle, Shamoon palace, Jonah prophet, Ali's tread [Dawest Ali], water springs ' etc. The site can be qualified to be a tourism location in the case of developing the supporting buildings in this district to be the pole of sustainable development
