Résumé

Objective@#To understand the status quo of quality of work life and turnover intention of nurses, and to explore the correlation between them, so as to provide scientific basis for formulating nursing intervention measures to improve quality of life and reduce turnover intention.@*Methods@#In December 2018, Random sampling method was used to select 400 nurses from a third-class hospital as the subjects of investigation. The quality of life of nurses was assessed by the quality of work life scale. The turnover intention of nurses was assessed by the turnover intention scale.@*Results@#Nurses' quality of work life was average 2.97±0.59 points, 2.78±0.60 points for job security, 2.61±0.66 points for work welfare, 3.11±0.70 points for job change, 3.34±0.71 points for self-growth, 2.97±0.63 points for environmental support, 2.51±0.80 points for promotion system, 3.41±0.68 points for interpersonal interaction and 3.01±0.72 points for decision-making. Nurses' turnover intention was average 2.46 points. The eight dimensions of quality of work life were negatively correlated with turnover intention I (the possibility of resigning from the present job) and II (the motivation to seek other jobs) (P<0.05) , but not with turnover intention III (the possibility of obtaining external work) (P>0.05) . Multivariate regression analysis showed that age, nurse-job seniority, annual income and self-growth, job change, environmental support, job security and job welfare were negatively correlated with turnover intention I and II (P<0.05) , while night shift frequency was positively correlated with turnover intention I and turnover intention II (P<0.05) .@*Conclusion@#The quality of nursing staff's work life is low, which is closely related to their turnover intention. Managers should take targeted measures in some aspects such as environ mental support and promotion system to improve the quality of nursing staff's work life and reduce their turnover intention.

Résumé

BACKGROUND: Preliminary findings have shown that radiation can impair the mouse blood-brain barrier, which is a cause of secondary brain injury. However, there is little information concerning radiation effects on fibrinogen in plasma and fibrinogen deposition in brain tissue. OBJECTIVE: To establish the mouse model of radiation-induced brain injury, to observe the changes of fibrinogen in plasma and brain tissue, and to further understand the mechanism of radiation-induced brain injury. METHODS: Fifty Kunming mice were randomly divided into irradiation and control groups (n=25 per group). Irradiation group rats were irradiated by 60Co γ, 10 Gy, once every other day, and the total dose was 30 Gy. Learning and memory abilities were tested by Morris Water Maze before and after irradiation, the content of fibrinogen in plasma was detected, then fibrinogen in CA3 region of the hippocampus was determined by immunohistochemistry, and the ultrastructural changes of the blood-brain barrier were investigated under transmission electron microscope . RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Compared with the control group, the swimming time and distance of the irradiated mice were reduced in the target quadrant (P< 0.05), while fibrinogen was increased in plasma (P< 0.001) and deposited in hippocampal CA3 region. The translucent zone around the basement membrane of blood-brain barrier in the irradiation group was observed under electron microscope. These results suggest that irradiation can increase fibrinogen in plasma and brain, and the fibrinogen deposited in the brain may be the cause of secondary brain injury.

Résumé

AIM: To investigate the effect of tumor necrosis factor receptor associated factor 6 (TRAF6) on proliferation, apoptosis and invasion of retinoblastoma Y79 cells. METHODS: The Y79 cells were divided into three groups:blank control group, negative control group and TRAF6 siRNA group. After TRAF6 siRNA transfection, the levels of TRAF6 mRNA and protein in Y79 cells were examined by RT-PCR and Western blotting. MTT assay was used to detect cell proliferation. Flow cytometry was employed to detect changes in cell cycle and apoptosis. Cell invasiveness was detected by the Transwell method. RESULTS: Expression of TRAF6 mRNA and protein in the TRAF6 siRNA group significantly decreased compared with the negative and blank control groups. Following the silencing of TRAF6,cell proliferation was inhibited and the apoptosis rate increased; the cell cycle was arrested at G0/G1 phase; the number of cells in S phase was reduced, while the invasion ability of cancer cells decreased. CONCLUSION: Silencing TRAF6 may inhibit the proliferation of Y79 cells, promote cell apoptosis, arrest the cell cycle at G0/G1 phase and decrease the invasive ability. Thus,TRAF6 may be a potential target in therapy for retinoblastoma.

Résumé

Objective To investigate the occupational hazards in automobile maintenance industry in Hangzhou and to provide field-research based evidence for prevention and control. Methods We visited 12 workshops of automobile maintenance to investigate the actors of occupational hazards, examine the protective facilities, and evaluate the occupation-related risk using MES method. Results The factors of occupation-related hazards at polishing posts met the criteria. At the painting posts in the painting room, the factors of chemical hazards satisfied the criteria, however, the levels of xylene and butyl acetate exceeded the standard lines in some enterprises when the ventilation system was close. The noise was higher than the limit at a few posts of sheet metal. The ventilation in spray paint room and the dust collector in dry mill room work well. The risks of occupational hazards at grinding, painting, and sheet metal posts were slightly harmful. Conclusion The occupational hazard factors in automobile repair enterprises were much more complicated. The noise hazard of the sheet metal posts was relatively prominent.

Résumé

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate abnormal liver function associated with polymorphism of GSTT1, GSTM1 and CYP2E1 in workers exposed to N, N-dimethylformamide.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Sixty-nine workers with abnormal liver function in a synthetic leather factory were recruited as case. One hundred and twenty five control subjects with similar work tasks were selected from the same factory. Genotypes for GSTT1 and GSTM1 were determined by multiplex PCR, and for CYP2E1 PstI by PCR-RFLP assay.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The frequency of positive GSTM1 was 59.42% in cases and 38.40% in control, with an odds ratio (OR) of 2.34,95% CI: 1.29-4.29 (P=0.005). For GSTT1 and CYP2E1 PstI, the frequencies of genotypes showed no significant difference between case and control.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>GSTM1 positive genotype may be genetic risk factors for development of abnormal liver function in workers exposed to N, N-dimethylformamide.</p>

Résumé

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the hepatotoxic effects of N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) in the workers of a synthetic leathers factory, and the effects on liver function of covariates such as alcohol consumption and other factors.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>The workers were classified into three groups (low, high and the control) by the concentration of DMF in workplace which was determined in the past two years. A questionnaire was drawn up for relevant demographic characteristics and other factors influencing liver function. The bloods were collected for laboratory test which included parameters especially relevant to the liver (ALT AST and gamma GT).</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Low and high-exposure groups were significantly associated with elevated ALT and gamma GT, and high-exposure group was significantly associated with elevated Liver index. Modeling by stepwise regression analysis demonstrated that high concentration of DMF and BMI were associated with and elevated ALT, gamma GT and Liver index, besides DMF and BMI, the elevation of ALT was also associated with high TRIG. AST was only associated with alcohol consumption. The AST/ALT ration < 1 was present in 86.7% of the exposure workers of liver function abnormal.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>DMF can cause liver function alternations even if air concentration of DMF was below PC-TWA. Besides the levels of DMF exposure, obesity (BMI) and alcohol consumption are covariates alternating liver function. Liver index can be a parameter for assessment liver function, and the AST/ALT ration < 1 may serve as markers of risk in health screening programs.</p>
