Résumé

Primary hydatid disease of the pancreas is very rare. We report about the case of a 38-year-old man who presented with jaundice, abdominal pain and epigastric mass. Abdominal ultrasound and computed tomography [CT] scan demonstrated a large, thick-walled pancreatic cystic mass compressing the common bile duct and causing obstructive jaundice. The treatment involved eccentration and the resection of the protruding mass by cystogastrostomy. The procedure was successful and no recurrence of complication occurred postoperatively. Hydatid disease should be considered in the differential diagnosis of all cystic masses in the pancreas, especially in the geographical regions where the disease is endemic

Résumé

Post-partum pituitary necrosis [Sheehan's syndrome] is a rare complication of post-partum hemorrhage. The diagnosis can be erratic and often delayed. In this case report of Sheehan's syndrome in the post-partum period, the signs were characterized by agalactia, severe hypoglycemia, and low serum levels of thyroid hormones, cortico-adrenal hormones, and gonadotrophin [FSH, LH]. The hypophyseal magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the diagnosis of hypopituitarism secondary to pituitary necrosis

Résumé

The tuberculosis is an infectious disease among the most spread in the world. This pathology might occur at any stage of state of immunodepression. The association of the tuberculosis to endobronchial non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is exceptional. We report an observation of a 27 year old female patient presenting a chronic cough evolving during one year with occurrence of two episodes of haemoptysis. The bronchial endoscopy demonstrated whitish granulations and the anatomicopathological study showed an endobronchial non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The culture of the bronchial fibro-aspiration liquid showed mycobacterium tuberculosis Therefore diagnosis of the endobronchial non Hodgkin s lymphoma and of tuberculosis were retained In conclusion the association of the tuberculosis to the endobronchial non-Hodgkin's lymphoma has to be suggested however it is exceptional The common clinical symptomatology of both pathologies might hide the other and therefore delay the diagnosis of one of both pathologies The bronchoscopy is essential in the diagnosis of both pathologies who have completely different treatments

Résumé

To report a case of portal vein thrombosis revealing an appendicular abscess. Case report: a 45 -year-old man presented to the emergency room with liver pain and fever. An ultrasonography showed portal vein thrombosis and collection in the right iliac fossa evoked a pylephlebitis originated from an appendicitis abscess. The surgical operation has confirmed the diagnosis and the patient has been treated by antibiotic and heparin. The patient has shown a good clinical and radiological evolution. The pylephlebitis is a rare and sometimes fatal complication of intra abdominal suppurative infections [diverticulite, appendicite]
