Résumé

Introduction: The main purpose of this article is to suggest a model to improve the portal services of private hospitals in Tehran


Methods: This research was practical and used evaluative survey research method. Research population of this evaluative survey included all of Tehran's private hospitals having portals as well as ten top international hospital portals. Data were gathered in March 2014 using researcher made checklist including 14 criteria and 77 index with their weight scores. Data were described using tables and graphs. Independent T test was used to statistically test the results


Results: Research findings demonstrated that Tehran private hospital portals, except for Contact Information and Page Design criteria, in most other criteria were in inappropriate conditions. On the contrary, international hospital portals except for Page Update criterion, in most of the criteria were in desirable condition


Conclusion: The findings demonstrate that Iranian hospital portals should plan to cover the gap in the quality of their portals compared with those of international hospital portals. The results also indicate that any suggesting model for Tehran private hospitals should enjoy 2 levels and 4 layers

Background: One of the health system main challenges is promotion of quality education. Baldrige Excellence Model improves organizations with a mechanism of self-assessment. This model has improved the principles of TQM model for Educational-Health care organizations. The [Leadership] is the first criteria


Objective: Quality evaluation of educational leadership in Baqiyatallah Hospital was the purpose of this study


Methods: This was a cross-sectional study performed on Baqiyatallah Hospital. Data were collected by interviewing the leaders and observing the processes and documents base on Baldrige questionnaire [version 2009-2010] and analyzed according to the Baldrige table for scoring


Findings: Of total 120 points of the leadership criterion in Baldrige model, the educational leadership of Baqiyatallah Hospital obtained a score of 53.95 [44.96%]. The points earned were associated with the sub-criterion of "senior leadership" [30.63 points] and the "Governance and Societal Responsibilities" criterion [23. 33 points]


Conclusion: Based on our findings, the hospital in question was demonstrated to have a good approach for excellence however, the level of organizational learning and integration needed to be upgraded. Thus, the implementation of Baldrige criteria to improve the standards is recommended

Economic efficiency in any organization is based on economic attitude of the decision maker's board. Hospitals are important organizations in terms of health economic and activities related to decision making in an economic attitudes. Regarding the efficiency of Iranian hospitals and their wasteful performance, the present study intended to describe and analyze the economic attitude among decision makers in hospital boards. A cross-sectional approach was taken to the study of efficiency among hospitals. Study has focused on the board of decision maker's mentality about economic concepts particularly those relevant to the health and hospital economics. Teaching hospitals affiliated in Tehran, Iran and Shahid Beheshti Medical Science Universities, and hospitals affiliated with Social Insurance Organization and private hospitals in Tehran were determined as the sample of this study. Executive principals and managers in hospitals are together within the head nurses, accounting and administration officer were considered as members of decision makers board in hospitals. Total of 55 people interviewed as study population. Collected data was processed through SPSS software. Attitude spectrum among decision makers in hospitals board in the following dimensions were: Payment methods: Diagnosis Related Groups [DRG], Fee for Service [FFS], contract, salary, and per case. Financing methods included: DRG, Population Based Budget, FFE, Per capita, fixed [ordinary] and budget. Cost analysis methods composed: cost- effectiveness, cost- utility, cost- efficiency, and cost- profit. Budgeting methods were: Performance Based Budgeting, Plan Based Budgeting, Population Based Budgeting, zero Based Budgeting, and Historical/ Intermental Budgeting. Insurance system Performances included: Elimination of funding relationship between patient, Examination the expects of insured people from services, Supervision on Quality of services, Accreditation of service provider centers, determination of TAREFE and per capita, determination of medical guidelines. Per Capita determining Factors were: Cost accounting price, Inflammation, health price index, Demand on health service, Pattern of consumption, Out of pocket payment, Ability to pay. Assessing managers' attitude suggest a new prospective in crucial areas of hospital performance. These attitudes would be scientific weather the domain of knowledge will be expanded, so the development of relevant knowledge in hospital management area to make executive in a new patterns to the managers' attitudes

Human resources development is a concept which is related to training and developing the employees in organizations. At the present time, caring management approach [process reengineering, total quality management, learning organization management resource development] have an important role in human resource development. This study explores the determination of effective approach in human resources development, of nursing managers. In this exploration study, a list of effective factors in human resources development was prepared. After wards, by using the expects, opinions, several polls were taken and at last seven factors were chosen. In the next step, the priority of factors was determined by the pair comparison method and four criteria and their weights were chosen by EC pro software. Consequently, the four approaches which were identified in the previous section were studied with analysis heiress presses. In this study, the factors affecting human resource development of nursing managers include: setting a common goal developing systematic insight, communication freedom and sharing [exchanging] information operation, taking suggestions, increasing work insight and access to the operation of and educational backgrounds of employees. Based on the experts' opinions, learning organization is the best application ever known in human resource development in nursing. The findings of this study suggest that the reinforcement of learning organization's insight in nursing management is an effective way in human resource development. So by using this approach and by considering the priority of effective factors, it can be suggested to nursing managers and similar managements as on operational model

Purpose: the objective of this study was to determine the viewpoints of faculty members and students of lorestan, Hamedan, and Ahvaz universities of medical sciences about reform in GP educational program


Methods: in this descriptive - analytic study 268 subjects including 170 interns and 98 faculty members teaching basic sciences and psychopathology courses were chosen randomly from the students and faculty members of lorestan, Hamedan, and Ahvaz universalities of medical sciences. The too for collecting data was a two-part questionnaire which was validated by [?] method


Results: the majority of students thaught reform is necessary in basic sciences, physiopathology and apprenticeship sections and also the majority of faculty members believed that reform should be carried out in apprenticeship section. Both students and faculty members believed that the basic disciplines of microbiology, anatomy, and physiology have a high application in clinical education periods and parasitology, general pathology, and immunology have a moderate level of application. The level of application of lessons embryology, biochemistry, biophysics, mycology, biostatics, genetics, general health, epidemiology, and nutrition was assessed as low from the viewpoint of students and high from the viewpoint of faculty members. [P= 0.000] Both faculty members and interns agreed that for the purpose of better education in apprenticeship period more emphasis should be put on common regional diseases and on practical skills, a few should be considered for apprentices, and reports should be written in patient's files. The majority of interns and faculty members believed that a GP does not own enough competencies in the fields of communication, medical ethics, health and prevention knowledge, research skills and patient education. There was no significant difference between the viewpoints of students and those of the faculty members in three universities studied


Conclusion: the results of this study show that most of the students and faculty members believe that reform s necessary in medical education. Also absence of significant difference among the students and faculty members view points of three dissimilar universities indicates the problems present in medical education
