Résumé

@#Resveratrol is a kind of polyphenolic compounds, and widely exists in plants. It can be provided with comprehensive physiological and pharmacological effects. In this paper, the authors reviewed the effect of resveratrol on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, the effective treatment of atherosclerotic diseases and coronary heart disease, and discuss the protective effect and the mechanism of resveratrol on cardiovascular disease through the effect of the electrophysiology and the accommodation of the blood vessel.

Résumé

Objective To study the expressions of PTTG and bFGF proteins and their relationship with microvessels density(MVD)in esophageal carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression of PTTG and bFGF proteins in 48 esophageal carcinoma tissues and the same para-cancerous tissues.MVD was evaluated by immunohistochemieal staining with antibody CD34.Results The positive rate of PTTG and bFGF was 68.8%(33/48)and 70.8%(34/48)respectively.Rate of PTTG protein expression in esophageal carcinoma tissues was significantly higher than that in para-cancerous tissues(8.3%and 12.5%,P<0.05).The positive rate 0f PTTG,bFGF and MVD was correlated with lymph node metastasis and TNM stage. There was no relationship with age, sex, tumor size MVD(P<0.05).Conclusion PTTG and bFGF are over-expressed in esophageal carcinoma.Increased PTTG may play an important role in carcinogenesis and development of esophageal carcinoma by promoting the expression of bFGF protein which may induce an angiogenesis.

Résumé

In order to study the effects of ethyl pyruvate on cardiomyocyte apoptosis following ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) in vitro and the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax proteins, isolated rat hearts were perfused in a Langendorff model. Twenty-four rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (n=8 in each group): control group was perfused for 120 min. In the I/R group, after 30 min stabilization the injury was induced by 30 min global ischemia followed by 60 min reperfusion. Ethyl pyruvate (EP) group was set up with the same protocol as I/R group except that it was supplied with 2 mmol/L EP 15 min before ischemia and throughout reperfusion. Myocardial malonaldehyde (MDA) content was measured. Myocardial apoptotic index (AI) was tested by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) method. The expression of anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 and pro-apoptotic protein Bax in cardiac myocytes was detected by immunohistochemistry. As compared with control group, the content of MDA, myocardial AI and the expression of Bcl-2, Bax proteins were increased significantly in I/R group, but the content of MDA, myocardial AI and the expression of Bax protein were decreased obviously and the expression of Bcl-2 protein was up-regulated in EP group (P<0.05). These results demonstrate that EP could inhibit apoptosis of cardiac myocytes possibly via alleviating oxidative stress, up-regulating Bcl-2 and down-regulating Bax proteins.

Résumé

Objective To study the clinical application of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS). Methods Clinical records of 78 cases of VATS from July 1998 to December 2002 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 40 cases of bullectomy for spontaneous pneumothorax, 12 cases of surgical exploration for chest trauma, 9 cases of wedge resection for solitary pulmonary nodules, 6 cases of pleural biopsy combined with pleurodesis, 4 cases of resection for mediastinal tumor, 4 cases of pulmonary lobectomy, 2 cases of broncho-pleural fistula following lobectomy and 1 case of resection for esophageal leiomyoma. Results A conversion to open surgery was required in no cases, but a supplementary mini incision was needed in 5 cases because of the adhesion of pleural cupula. The intrathoracic drain was all removed within 48 postoperative hours with exception of 3 middle-old aged patients with spontaneous pneumothorax in whom the continuous air leakage was observed and the drain was removed on 7, 8 and 13 postoperative days, respectively. The delayed healing of drain site was seen in 5 cases. The incidence of operative complications was 10 3% (8/78). Conclusions Broad prospects exists in the clinical application of VATS, but the costs of the disposable is subject to reduce. The application of suture or knotting under thoracoscope may save medical costs.

Résumé

We present a minimal invasive technique for the treatment of broncho-pleural fistula (BPF) after pulmonary lobectomy with lung cancer. 2 cases of BPF were found at the 4th and 7th day after pulmonary lobectomy respectively. They were reoperated on by VATS, direct resuture of stump and consolidation with acrylic or fibrin glue. Both cases were cured. Authors consider mentioned procedure might be a feasible therapeutic approach for early broncho-pleural fistula.
