Résumé

Creatinine valuesin the amniotic fluid and cord blood were studied in 28 pregnancies. A scoring system ofr gestational age in the nursery room, based on 6 neurologic and 6 physical maturity, has been applied to that 28 newborn infants sampled. They were admitted to the Obstetric Ward and the Nursery Room of the Cho Sun University Hospital between May 1979 and August 1979. The following results were obstained: 1. Based on 2.0mg/100ml of creatinine concentration in amniotic fluid, fetal maturity was 27 cases(96.4%) of the total 28 cases. 2. The longer the gestational age, the greater the values of creatinine concentration in amniotic fluied in each group of patiens. Creatinine values in amniotic fluied were higher in those with abnormal pregnaneies than in those with normal pregnancies. For total pregnancies, the regression equation of creatinine concentration(y) against duration of gestation(x) was: y=-7.157+0.245x. The regression equation of creatinine concentration(y) against duration of neonatal assessment(x) was: y=1.442+0.034x. 3. The creatinine concentration in amniotic fluid was always higher than in the cord blood. The creatinine concentration in the cord blood were all normal values. 4. Total score was a good correlation with gestational age. The correlation coefficient for the total score against neonatal assessment(wks) was 0.79. The regression equation for total score(x) against neonatal assessment(y) was: y=23.55+0.389x. 5. In result, all maturity group was over 2.0mg/100ml of creatinine concentration in amniotic fluid, and correlation gestational age by L.M.P. and by neurologic assessment, the longer the gestational age, the greater the values of creatinine concentration in amniotic fluid. 6. This scoring system is more objective and reproductive than trying to guess gestational age on the presence or absence of individual signs.

Résumé

This is the clinical statistics concerning the admissions in the Pediatric Department of the Chosun University Hospital during the past 5 years from Jan. 1975 to Dec. 1979. All the patients were classified by y Classification of Disease by W.H.O. The Obtained results are as follows: 1. Total number of admission during 5 year period were 3249 cases, of which 2121 cases (65.28%) were male, 1128 cases (34.72%) were female and male to female ratio was 1.88:1. 2. The number of patients were increased every year gradually. 3. On age group, Infancy age group was the most frequent group, 714 cases (22%), followed by School age group, 6679 cases (20.9%) and Preschool age group, 679 cases (20. 9% ) in the order of frequency. 4. On monthly distribution, there was the more admission in the September and the Autumn on season, 5. Infectious and Parasitic diseases were the most frequent, 840 cases(25. 9%), followed by Neonatal disease, 573 cases (17.6%) and Respiratory disease, 476 cases (14.7%) 6. Ten major leadil1g causes of hospitalization were Diarrheal disease, 323 cases (9. 9%) ,prematurity, pneumonia, common cold, epidemic encephalitis, hyperbilirubinemia, epilepsy, glomerulonephritis, hepatitis and typhoid fever in the order frequency.
