@#Abstract: Objective To compare the efficiency of lung-microscopy and tissue homogenate in the detection of Angiostrongylus cantonensis larvae from Pomacea canaliculate, with the amin of finding a simple and rapid method suitable for different scenarios. Methods Pomacea canaliculata was caught and collected from ponds, ditches, rivers and other environments in the confirmed epidemic areas reported by predecessors. After each snail was weighed one by one, and dissected into two parts: lung sac and muscle. Firstly, each snail lung sac was check for nodules with lung-microscopy, and the nodules were picked out with anatomical needle and press them separately. Then, the worm was found and identified for worm species under microscope, and the lung sac and snail meat then was rechecked with tissue homogenate. Results A total of 330 snails were detected, with 19.1% (63/330) snails with Angiostrongylus cantonensis stage Ⅲ larvae were detected by tissue homogenate and 15.8% (52/330) snails with nodules were detected by lung-microscopy. Among them, 36 snails with nodules and larvae were detected by the lung-microscopy, and all of them were positive by the tissue homogenate, with a coincidence rate of 100% (36/36); 16 snails with nodules but no larvae, among which 6 snails were positive and 10 snails were negative by the tissue homogenate, The false detection rate was 19.2% (10/52). 278 snails with no nodules, but 21 of them were detected by the tissue homogenate, the missing rate was 7.6% (21/278). There was no significant difference between tissue homogenate and lung-microscopy (taking the positive determination of nodules as the standard) (χ2=1.27, P=0.26, P>0.05). There was significant difference between tissue homogenate and lung-microscopy (taking the detection of larvae as the standard)(χ2=8.66, P = 0.003, P<0.01). There was no significant difference between the two methods and tissue homogenate in the detection rate of large snails ( ≥25 g, χ2=0.08,P=0.777; χ2=2.58, P=0.108), but there was significant difference between the two methods and tissue homogenate in the detection rate of small snail (≤10 g, χ2=5.63, P=0.02). Conclusions Compared with the tissue homogenate, lung-microscopy is simple in the detection of large snails, requires less instruments and equipment, and its detection speed is faster. It is suitable for the field investigation of the natural focus of Angiostrongylus cantonensis. The tissue homogenate has high sensitivity, can directly display the insect state and activity, has strong insect vitality and high detection rate, it's more suitable for food safety risk monitoring.

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To observe the effect of acupoint catgut embedding on height of adolescents with spleen qi deficiency.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Three hundred voluntary adolescents with spleen qi deficiency syndrome who want to increase height were stratified according to sex first, and then randomly divided into an observation group, a control group and a placebo group, 100 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with acupoint catgut embedding at Zusanli (ST 36), Pishu (BL 20), Weishu (BL 21) etc. The control group was treated with oral administration of Lysine Dicalcium Phosphate particles, and the placebo group was treated with oral administration of flour capsule. The height was measured and the therapeutic effects were detected after treatment of 3 months and 6 months respectively.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The total effective rate of 95.0% (95/100) in the observation group was superior to that of 49.0% (49/100) in the control group and 0 (0/100) in the placebo group (both P < 0.05). The height increased more obviously in the observation group than that of the control group and the placebo group, there were significant differences among three groups (all P < 0.01).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Acupoint catgut embedding can increase the height and improve the symptoms of the adolescents with slow growth caused by spleen qi deficiency.</p>

The underlying effect of different concentrations of neogenin on proliferation,apoptosis and the related proliferative factors in human trophoblasts was explored in order to understand the function of neogenin during placentation.TEV-1 cell line was cultured and the expression of netrin-1was detected by using indirect cellular immunofluorescence.Exponentially growing TEV-1 cells were treated by different concentrations of neogenin(0,1,5,10,50 ng/mL)for 24 h.Cell viability was measured by 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide(MTT)assay.TEV-1 cell apoptosis was assessed by flow cytometry(FCM).The expression of netrin-1 mRNA and protein in TEV-1 cells was examined by using real-time PCR and Western blot,respectively.It was found that immunoreactivity for netrin-1 was observed in cytoplasm of the trophoblasts.Immediately after treatment with different concentrations of neogenin for 24 h,the netrin-1 expression began to increase.Real-time PCR revealed that the expression level of netrin-1 mRNA was 37.59±10.25 times higher than control group when TEV-1 cells were exposed to 50 ng/mL neogenin(P<0.01),and the same tendency was seen by using Western blot.MTT results showed that proliferation of TEV-1 cells was independent of neogenin.Meanwhile,apoptosis was significantly increased to(22.15±6.15)% at50 ng/mL neogenin and(6.55±0.25)% without neogenin(P<0.01).It is suggested that neogenin regulates proliferation and apoptosis of TEV-1 cells.And it can enhance the ability of TEV-1 ceils to express netrin-1 in a dose-dependent manner.Neogenin may play an important biological role in the normal human pregnancy and contribute to the physiological pregnancy process.

Objective To use tri-operator breast blood oxygen imaging in diagnosis of early stage breast cancer.Methods To analysis and diagnosis eighty cases with the technology of breast blood oxygen imaging.Results The accurate rate of the diagnosis made by technology of breast blood oxygen imaging was 93.75%,the sensitivity of diagnosis was 90.63%,the specificity was 95.83%.Conclusions The technology of breast blood oxygen imaging without the radiation may be a better methods to diagnosis the breast diseases,which has the higher sensitivity than infrared rays examination on breast cancer diagnosis.

<p><b>UNLABELLED</b>To investigate the clinical characteristics, prognosis, and complications of acute severe burn injury of the eyes.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>One hundred and thirty-five patients (155 eyes) with acute severe burn injury of the eyes admitted to our hospital from 1977 to 2002 were analyzed retrospectively. The recovery rate and time, causes and incidence of blindness, and complications of burn injury of different depth and causes of burns were analyzed statistically.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>(1) The recovery time of patients with full-thickness burn of the eye ball was obviously shorter than that with IV degree eye burn, and the recovery rate of those with III degree burn was also evidently higher than that with IV degree burns (P < 0.01). Among the patients with non-repaired IV degree eye burn, the incidence of corneal perforation (6 eyes) in patients injured by acid was markedly higher than that by alkali (1 eye, P < 0.05). There were 38 III degree injured eyes with the visual acuity more than 0.05 and 51 with that less than 0.05. While there was no eye with the visual acuity more than 0.05 but 66 with that less than 0.05. Fifty-two out of 78 eyes injured by acid and alkali went blind with occoecatio ratio of 66.7%. But 65 out of 77 eyes injured by heat went blind with occoecatio ratio of 84.4%. The complication in patients with III degree eye burn was lower than that with IV degree burns. The incidence of corneal perforation and symblepharon in patients with III degree eye burn was 1.1% and 36.0%, which was obviously lower than that with IV degree eye burn (27.3% and 59.1%, P < 0.01). The highest incidence of corneal perforation and symblepharon was in those with eye burn injured by acid (29.2%, 37.5%). While the highest incidence of the symblepharon in those with thermal eye burn was 53.2%.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Among the patients with IV degree burns, those with acid, alkali and heat burns have bad prognosis, with high blindness rate. Current therapies cant improve eye function and prognosis of the patients thoroughly, which need further study in the future.</p>

Résumé

Objectives: To explore the feasibility and safety of EEN with Freka Trelumina and Supportan after esophageal and cardiac carcinoma operation.Methods: 30 patients with esophageal and cardiac carcinoma were retained Freka Trelumina in to jejunum during the operation.All patients were given EEN with Supportan on the 3rd day after the operation.The complication and resumption of digestive tract functions were observed and recorded carefully.Renal and Liver functions were examined on the 8~(th) day after operation.Results: No mortality and serious complication occurred in all patients during the period of study.There was no evidence of damage of EEN to the renal and liver function. Conclusion: EEN with Freka Trelumina and Supportan after esophageal and cardiac carcinoma is feasible and safe.
