RÉSUMÉ

OBJECTIVETo explore the efficacy of electric acupoint stimulation on shivering in cesarean section.

METHODSEighty cases of parturients, under the America Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status II , were randomized into a transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) assisted anesthesia group (group A) and an anesthesia group (group B). Spinal-epidural anesthesia(CSEA) puncture was applied to both groups and 8 mg of 0. 75% bubivacaine was given by spinal injection, the block level was T4 T8. In group A, TEAS was applied before CSEA at paired acupoints-ipsilateral Hegu (LI 4)-Laogong (PC 8) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6)-Zusanli (ST 36) till ending the surgery. The 4 pair of bilateral acupoints were fixed with self-adhesive electrodes and connected with Han's acupoint and nerve stimulator (HANS, LH402H), the frequency was 2 Hz/ 15 Hz, the intensity was 10- 30 mA and the form was densedisperse wave within the patients' tolarance. The heart rate (HR), mean arterial pressure (MAP), oxyhemoglobin saturation (SPO) and shivering degree were recorded before anesthesia (To), 1 min after anesthesia puncture (Ti), 1 min after the delivery (Tz), during abdomen closure (T3) and at the end of surgery (T4).

RESULTSThe occurrence rate of shivering was 35. 0% (14/40) in group A, which was lower to 67. 5% (27/40, P<0. 05) in group B; the degree of shivering was lighter in group A than that in group B at T2, T3 and T4 (all P<0. 01). In group A, HR was faster at T1 and T2 compared to that at To (all P<0. 05), while at T3 and T4, the HR was the same with that before anesthesia (all P>0. 05). In group B, the HR was faster at T1, T2, T3 and T4 compared to that at T0 (P<0. 05, P<0. 01). In both groups, the MAP was lower at T1, T2 (P<0.05,P<0.01) and resumed to that before anesthesia at T3 and T4 (all P>0.05); there was no statistical significance of SPO2 in both groups (all P>0.05).

CONCLUSIONTEAS can reduce the occurrence rate of shivering and steady the heart rate in cesarean section.

OBJECTIVE@#To reveal the genetic polymorphisms of four SNP loci (rs77434921, rs2076907, rs6283, rs1800762) in D5 gene of dopamine receptor (DRD5) in Northern Chinese Han population.@*METHODS@#Four SNP loci of the DRD5 gene of 206 unrelated individuals in Northern Chinese Han population were separately amplified and sequenced by PCR technique and statistically analyzed by Haploview v4.1 software.@*RESULTS@#In Northern Chinese Han population, the genotype frequency distribution of rs77434921, rs2076907, rs6283 and rs1800762 loci in the DRD5 gene were all in accordance with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. DP value was 0.145, 0.532, 0.602 and 0.159, while PE value was 0.004, 0.079, 0.196 and 0.007. A linkage disequilibrium among these four SNP loci was also demonstrated, which might infer five haplotypes.@*CONCLUSION@#rs2076907 and rs6283 loci of DRD5 gene in the Northern Chinese Han population have high genetic polymorphisms, which can be useful for forensic identification of individuals.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of thrombolysis treatment with continuous urokinase infusion by placing the catheter in distal end of superior sagittal sinus for patients with intracraniai venous sinus thrombosis. Methods Nine patients with intracranial venous sinus thrombosis, admitted to our hospital from January 2008 to January 2011,were treated with continuous urokinase infusion by placing the catheter in distal end of superior sagittal sinus, assisting with mechanical thrombus maceration. The indication of stopping thrombolysis was that thrombolysis had been completely or mostly finished and the bole of obstructive cerebral sinus venous had been re-canalized. After the operation, treatments aimed at the primary diseases were continued and anti-platelet aggregation treatment was given for 6 months. The followed-up data were obtained at 9-30 months (averaged 20 months). The followed-up examinations were carried out once every 6 months, including lumbar puncture, fundus examination, and MRV or DSA. Results At discharge, all of the 9 patients achieved recanalization of cerebral venous sinuses.Arteriovenous circulation time was returned to normal; pallium vein and deep vein were put back. Clinical symptoms of all the patients were improved. Intracranial pressure recovered. Eyeground edema obviously lightened or disappeared.Glasgow coma scale (GCS) scores regained 15 points at discharge from an average of 10 points before thrombosis. No endovascular treatment-related complications were noted.During follow-up,no patients recurred. Conclusion Thrombolysis treatment with continuous urokinase infusion by placing the catheter in distal end of superior sagittal sinus is an effective and safe procedure for patients with intracranial venous sinus thrombosis.

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the population genetic data of 3 SNP loci (rs25533, rs34388196 and rs1042173) of 5-hydroxytryptamine transporter (5-HTT) gene and the association with paranoid schizophrenia.@*METHODS@#Three SNP loci of 5-HTT gene were examined in 132 paranoid schizophrenia patients and 150 unrelated healthy individuals of Northern Chinese Han population by PCR-RFLP technique. The Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium test was performed using the chi-square test and the data of haplotype frequency and population genetics parameters were statistically analyzed.@*RESULTS@#Among these three SNP loci, four haplotypes were obtained. There were no statistically significant differences between the patient group and the control group (P > 0.05). The DP values of the 3 SNP loci were 0.276, 0.502 and 0.502. The PIC of them were 0.151, 0.281 and 0.281. The PE of them were 0.014, 0.072 and 0.072.@*CONCLUSION@#The three SNP loci and four haplotypes of 5-HTT gene have no association with paranoid schizophrenia, while the polymorphism still have high potential application in forensic practice.

RÉSUMÉ

OBJECTIVETo investigate the relationship between calcium-sensing receptor protein (CaSR) expression and rat cardiomyocyte apoptosis and related signal transduction pathways.

METHODSThe CaSR, BCl2, Caspase3 protein and ERK1/2 phosphorylation or non-phosphorylation were detected by Western blot. Cardiomyocyte apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry and immunofluorescence.

RESULTSCaSR protein was detected in rat cardiac tissue and CaSR activator gadolinium (GdCl3) induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis and increased ERK1/2 phosphorylation and expression of BCl2 and activated Caspase3. The selective mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) inhibitor PD98059 abolished gadolinium -induced ERK1/2 activation and BCl2 expression, further increased the activation of Caspase3 and cardiomyocyte apoptosis.

CONCLUSIONOur results demonstrate the CaSR existence in cardiomyocytes and CaSR activation by gadolinium can induce myocyte apoptosis by activating Caspase3 and tyrosine protein kinase pathway.
