Résumé

The basic knowledge of college chemistry is an important basis for the key undergraduate course-Biochemistry for students majoring in Life Sciences. Based on theoretical analysis of the close relationship between "Biochemistry" and "College Chemistry", this paper summarized these knowledge nodes to the content of Biochemistry from the four major courses: Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. We took the peptide bond, mechanism of enzymes and protein purification as examples to show the relevance between the basic knowledge of Chemistry and the knowledge points of Biochemistry, aiming to enlighten the students to understand the importance of the basic knowledge of Chemistry. We also proposed three kinds of teaching pattern for introducing the basic knowledge of " College Chemistry" to " Biochemistry" , including " Described directly by teachers", " Integrated into contents of Biochemistry" and " Students learning by themselves" , so as to ensure that the students comprehend clearly the essence of "Biochemistry". Finally we discussed how to culture the students' ability to think independently and critically. The idea and practice about Biochemistry teaching will benefit the students to grasp the essence of the course and it will also give one new perspective for teachers to carry out teaching reforms in life science courses.

Résumé

Transcription factors (TFs) are key proteins that regulate gene expression by guiding RNA polymerases to bind to specific DNA sequences in cells, thus enabling organisms to respond to environmental changes rapidly and achieving better survival adaptability. Most bacterial transcription factors are composed of two parts: a DNA-binding domain and a regulatory domain, but some transcription factors have only one DNA-binding domain. According to the functional profile, they can be classified as activating transcription factors and repressive transcription factors. The important function of bacterial transcription factors is to sense changes in environmental conditions and to adjust the expression of related genes accordingly, at same time they are also affected by other signaling molecules. They often form a complex regulatory network with each other and jointly manage the expression of genes to cope with the environmental signals. Due to the importance of bacterial transcription factors in gene regulation, it has become a hot spot in molecular biology research. In this review, we summarize the study of bacterial transcription factors in recent years, focusing on their structures and function mechanisms and roles in stress response, in order to provide ideas for a systematic understanding of the topic.

Résumé

Objective:To analyze the effect of different glucocorticoid administration routes in the treatment of children's secretory otitis media and impacts on immunologic function. Methods:Clinical data of children with secretory otitis media received treatment at our hospital from January 2016 to June 2016 were analyzed.Patients were divided into two groups by different glucocorticoid administration routes,Group A:intratympanic injection;Group B:oral administration. After one week, clinical effects and immunologic functions were tested and compared between the two groups. Results:A total of 87 patients were analyzed,Group A 45 cases,Group B 42 cases. After one week treatment, both of the two groups got significantly improved in audiology indexe (P<0.05),however,these index were more better in Group A when compared with those of Group B(P<0.05).Meanwhile,Group A patients got higher cure rate than that of Group B (91.1%,41/45 vs 73.8%,31/42;X2=4.558,P=0.033).Both of the two groups got significantly improved in CD3+T,CD4+T and CD4/CD8 (P<0.05) and decreased in CD8,IL-4,IFN-γ and IL-4/IFN-γ(P<0.05),but these markers changed more significant in Group A (P<0.05).Group A patients had a lower recurrence rate than Group B patients one year after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (9.76%,4/41 vs 29.03%,9/31;Log-rank X2=4.698,P=0.030).Conclusion:The treatment of children's secretory otitis media, the intratympanic injection of glucocorticoid shows a better effect than that of oral cortico-steroids.
