RÉSUMÉ

This is a report of 3 cases of parkinsonism with long term administration of lamivudine. The clinic features were mask like faces, shuffling gait, lethargy and reduced automatic movement. After stopping use of lamivudine and treatment of anticholingeric drugs, the symptoms and signs of all cases were ameliorated. The possibilities of Wilson’s disease and other secondary parkinsonisms were excluded. The parkinsonism was attributed to complications from lamivudine. Lamivudine associated parkinsonism has not been reported previously in the medical literature.

RÉSUMÉ

Objective To investigate the preventive effects of curcumin for status epilepticus(SE) induced by lithium chloride-pilocarpine.Methods Totally 45 Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were randomly divided into three groups: preventive group(n=15),non-preventive group(n=15),and control group(n=15).The latency peroid and incidence of SE were recorded. The surviving neurons were stained by using nissl staining, and the programme death cells were detected by using terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL) in hippocampal CA3.Results The SE incidence of preventive group was 66.7%,which was significantly lower than that of non-preventive group(P0.05).Conclusion Pretreatment of curcumin can prevent the SE induced by lithium chloride-pilocarpine and the pretreatment can not protect the neuron.

RÉSUMÉ

Objective To detect the protein expression of chemotactic monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP 1), macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha (MIP 1alpha) and regulated on activation normal T cell expression secretion (RANTES) in the affected muscle of simple polymyositis (SPM), and analysed the relationship between the amount of these proteins and the stage, severity of SPM.Methods Immuohistochemical LAB technique was used to detect the expression of these chemotactic factor protein in SPM affected muscle specimens. The expression levels of these chemotactic factors were determined by Image Analyzer system. Results The expressions of these chemotactic factors protein in SPM were showed in SPM. The expression levels of MCP 1 increased remarkably in the chronic SPM group and the severer one (P0 05).Conclusion MCP 1 not only could play an important role in the chronic SPM,but also related to the severity of the disease,it might be as an index on the development and deterioration of the di sease;MIP 1alpha might contribute to the continuous development of the disease. RANTES might embody its role as a ubiquitous response to inflammation during the onset of SPM.
