The spirit of Norman Bethune was formed during the period of the Comprehensive Anti-Japanese War, and played an important role in shaping thought and promoting foreign exchanges in the subsequent inheritance and development process. Promoting the spirit of Norman Bethune in the context of sudden public health crisis, relying on its spiritual strength and extensive influence, and in line with China’s anti-epidemic experience, explaining its principles, methods, organizations, driving forces, and exemplary experiences, so that the Norman Bethune spirit can be promoted and developed in the context of sudden public health crisis, giving its a strong contemporary appeal.
Résumé
Medical ethics is correlated with further development of affiliated teaching hospital.Our hospital took ‘ Bethune spirit’ and philosophy of forgiveness and kindheartedness as guidance and became the first batch of Bethune spirit model hospital of Chongqing.Teaching quality was improved by providing lectures about ‘ Bethune spirit’ for medical students and equally emphasizing medical knowledge and medical ethics education.Anti-corruption and academy governing movements with the subject of ‘ Bethune spirit’ were carried out to repel academic misdeed,with the result that clinical,teaching and scientific works were promoted and advanced.

As the spread of AIDS is now reaching epidemic proportions in China,Bethune Spirit is inherited and developed by many medical staff who work on AIDS prevention and cure-Professor Gui Xien who works for Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University for example.This article illustrated the contents of Gui Xien Spirit-Bethune Spirit in AIDS prevention and cure,and the importance of learning Gui Xien Spirit in AIDS prevention and cure.
