Background: Chemotherapy-induced diarrhea (CID) is a major challenge during chemotherapy, which not only affects the quality of life, but also reduces the effectiveness of chemotherapy. Aims: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Bifid triple viable capsules in the treatment of CID in malignant tumors by using meta - analysis. Methods: Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on Bifid triple viable capsules for the treatment of CID were retrieved from CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, China Biology Medicine disc, Chinese Clinical Trial Registry, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science and ClinicalTrails databases from the date of database establishment to December 2022. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, literatures were screened, extracted, and the quality of literature was evaluated. Meta - analysis was performed by using Stata/MP 14.0 software. Results: A total of 10 RCTs including 790 patients were enrolled. Meta - analysis results showed that efficacy of Bifid triple viable capsules in the treatment of CID was significantly increased than that of controls (OR=2.22, 95% CI: 1.69 - 2.92, P<0.000 1), and serum endotoxin, tumor necrosis factor - α, D - lactic acid, diamine oxidase were significantly decreased in Bifid triple viable capsules group than in controls (P<0.05). Conclusions: The addition of Bifid triple viable capsules adjuvant to the original symptomatic treatment of CID can optimize the treatment efficacy.

OBJECTIVE:To discuss effects of Bifid triple viable capsules combined with Dahuang chishao decoction on endo-toxemia and intestinal mucosal barrier function of patients with hepatocirrhosis. METHODS:90 patients with hepatocirrhosis were randomly divided into traditional Chinese and western medicine group and western medicine group with 45 cases in each group. Both groups were given symptomatic treatment,such as liver protection and diuresis,lowering portal pressure and nutrition sup-port. Based on this,western medicine group was given Bifid triple viable capsules 0.42 g,tid,po;traditional Chinese and western medicine group was additionally given Dahuang chishao decoction orally,one dose a day,on the basis of western medicine group. Both 2 groups were treated for 6 weeks. The changes of liver function index,serum endotoxin(ET),procalcitonin(PCT)and di-amine oxidase (DAO) levels of patients were observed and recorded in 2 groups before and after treatment. RESULTS:After 6 weeks treatment,serum ALT,AST and TBIL,ET,PCT and DAO levels of patients in 2 groups declined significantly,compared with before treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05 or P<0.01);the decrease of traditional Chinese and western medicine group was more significant than western medicine group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Bifid triple via-ble capsules combined with Dahuang chishao decoction can reduce ALT,AST and TBIL levels in patients with hepatocirrhosis,pro-tect liver function;reduce serum ET,PCT and DAO levels,release endotoxemia,and protect and remedy intestinal mucosal barri-er function.

Objective:To discuss the curative effect of bifid triple viable capsules in the patients after laparoscopic cholecystecto-my ( LC) . Methods:Totally 100 cases of patients with LC were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group at random. The patients in the two groups underwent LC under the general anesthesia, and were given routine medical treatment after the operation. The patients in the observation group were additionally given bifid triple viable capsules, 630mg per time, twice a day for 1 week as the treatment course. The changes in the occurrence of diarrhea, alteration of intestinal flora and plasma D-lactic acid of the patients and drug adverse reactions in the two groups were observed and compared after the medical treatment. Results:One week after the operation, the occurrence of diarrhea and alteration of intestinal flora of the patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P0. 05). Conclusion: The application of bifid triple viable capsules in the pa-tients after LC can effectively reduce the plasma D-lactic acid levels, occurrence of diarrhea and alteration of intestinal flora with prom-ising security, which is good for the postoperative recovery of the patients.

Objective To discuss influence and curative effect of bifid triple viable capsules combined with lactulose on colonic transit function of patients with chronic functional constipation(CFC). Methods A total of 78 cases with CFC were divided into research group and control group randomly. The patients in two groups were given basic medical treatment, such as diet structure adjustment, plenty of water, defecation training and etc. The patients in research group were additionally bifid triple viable capsules combined with lactulose oral fluid, with 420 mg bifid triple viable cap-sules, three times a day with warm boiled water, and 10 mL lactulose oral fluid, three times a day, 30 minutes before dinner for 6 weeks. The patients in control group were only given lactulose oral fluid with the same method, dose and course of treatment were same as in research group. The changes of total colonic transit time (TCTT) in two groups before and after medical treatment were observed, and the clinical curative effect, adverse drug reactions(ADR) and re-occurrence rate of one-year following-up were compared as well. Results After 6 weeks'treatment, TCTT in two groups were obviously declined than before (P<0.05 or P<0.01), and the declining rate in research group was much higher than that in control group (P<0.05). The total clinical efficiency of patients in research group was much higher than that in control group (χ2=5.19, P<0.05). 6 cases of ADR were appeared in two groups during the medical treatment, with 4 and 2 cases in control group and research group respectively with light symptom, and after comparing the occurrence rates in two groups, no statistical differences were appeared (χ2=0.18, P>0.05). According to one-year following-up, the reoccurrence in research group was much lower than that in control group (χ2=5.19, P<0.05). Conclusion Compare with pure lactulose oral fluid, bifid triple viable capsules combined with lactulose oral fluid have better curative effect and with favorable security on CFC, which can obviously improve the colonic transit function, shorten TCTT, improve constipation symptom and reduce the reoccurrence rate.

Objective:To discuss the efficacy of bifid triple viable capsules combined with early enteral nutrition in the patients with severe head injury. Methods:Totally 80 cases of patients with severe head injury were divided into the observation group and the control group at random. The patients in the observation group were given bifid triple viable capsules combined with early enteral nutri-tion supporting treatment, while the patients in the control group were only given early enteral nutrition supporting treatment. The oc-currence rates of alteration of intestinal flora and diarrhea in the two groups were observed after the 10-day medical treatment, and the changes of GCS,SOFA and APACHE scores,serum ALb,Hb and adverse reactions were compared before and after the medical treat-ment. Results:After the 10-day medical treatment, the GCS score of patients in the two groups was increased when compared with that before the treatment,while SOFA and APACHE scores were lower than those before the treatment (P0. 05). Conclusion:Bifid triple viable capsules combined with early enteral nutrition have favorable curative effect with good safety in the patients with se-vere head injury.

Objective:To discuss the effect of bifid triple viable capsules on plasma D-lactic acid and stool S-IgA in the patients with colorectal cancer after the operation. Methods:Totally 68 cases of patients with colorectal cancer after the operation were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group at random. The patients in the two groups were given enteral nutrition and postoperative routine medical treatment with the treatment course of one week from the third day after the operation. The patients in the observation group were additionally given 620 mg bifid triple viable capsules, twice a day. The occurrence rates of diarrhea and flora imbalance, D-lactic acid in plasma, S-IgA in stool and adverse drug reaction ( ADR) in the two groups were observed and compared after the medical treatment. Results:After the one-week medical treatment, the occurrence rates of diarrhea and flora imbalance in the observation group were much lower than those in the control group (P<0. 05). After the treatment, D-lactic acid in plasma in the two groups was declined, while S-IgA in stool was decreased than that before the treatment, and the changes in the observation group were more notable than those in the control group (P<0. 05 or P<0. 01). No obvious ADR appeared in the two groups during the medical treatment. Conclusion:The application of bifid triple viable capsules in the patients with colorectal cancer after the operation can re-duce D-lactic acid in plasma and ralse S-IgA in stool, which can effectively recover intestinal mucosal barrier function and local immu-nity, and reduce alteration of intestinal flora and occurrence of diarrhea with high security.
