Résumé

Objective To observe and analyze rightzopiclone on the improvement of sleep disorders in patients with Alzheimer disease. Methods Eighty-four Alzheimer disease patients with sleep disorders admitted to the Department of Neurology of the Dalian University Affiliated Xinhua Hospital from August 2016 to August 2018 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 42 patients in each group. The patients in the observation group were given rightzopiclone orally, while the patients in the control group were given alprazolam orally. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was applied to assess the sleep state of the two groups before and after the treatment. Results The total effective rates of sleep improvement in the observation group were 78.57%and 92.86% after 2 and 4 weeks of the treatment, which was significantly higher than that in the control group of 54.76% and 73.81% (P < 0.05),and the PSQI assessment results were also significantly better than those in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions Rightzopiclone is helpful for the improvement of sleep state of Alzheimer disease patients with sleep disorders, and it has high clinical application value.

Résumé

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to observe the characteristics of the clinical improvement and the electrodiagnostic study in non-traumatic facial nerve palsy. METHOD: The clinical observation and the electrodiagnostic study were done in 57 of 266 patients who were treated at the Kyunghee Medical Center from December 2000 to July 2001. The initial study was done at 2 weeks from the onset time, and the follow-up study was done at 3 months later. The blink reflex, nerve conduction study and needle EMG were done, and made a statistical comparison between the initial and follow-up study. RESULTS: The clinical improvement and the change of the electrodiagnostic study between the initial and follow-up study were remarkable in the patients with expected to be good and fair prognosis. In the electrodiagnosis study, there were no statistical correlations on the % degeneration of the CMAP amplitude in the patients with expected to be poor prognosis. CONCLUSION: Although the ideal electrodiagnostic study does not yet exist, the best method of evaluating the facial nerve is side-to-side evoked amplitude comparison, and not only the initial study but also the follow-up, this method would be very useful.

Résumé

OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study was to see the correlation between the auditory cognitive evoked potential and the clinical improvement in schizophrenics. METHOD: The subjects were 23 patients with schizophrenia. Auditory cognitive evoked potential was examined at pretreatment or the acute phase of treatment. The change of symptom was assessed by the PANSS(Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale) before drug treatment and in the 4th week of treatment. RESULTS: The results were as follows: 1) The change of positive subscale was positively correlated with P1 latency(p<.05), N1 latency (p<.05) and negatively correlated with P3 latency(p<.05), P2 amplitude(p<.05). 2) The change of negative subscale was negatively correlated with P3 latency(p<.05). 3) The change of general psychopathology subscale was negatively correlated with P3 latency(<.05). CONCLUSIONS:These results suggest that the auditory cognitive evoked potential in schizophrenic patients could be valuable on prediction of clinical improvement. But, further studies are required to support these results.

Résumé

Arachnoid cysts are benign developmental cysts that occur between aachnoid layers, which represent approximately 1 percent of all intracranial space-occupying lesions, their most common location being the middle cranial fossa. Current surgical treatment options for intracranial arachnoid cyst are either craniotomy and excision of cyst or shunting of cyst contents extracranially. We treated 10 cases of intracranial arachnoid cyst by excision during last two years. For the best surgical curability, we have, not only removed the cyst wall and adhesive gliotic tissue as possible, but also made the opening to basal cistern for communication. During average 8.4 months follow up, we observed, not specific morbidity and mortality, but good clinical improvement and brain expansion. As above result, if haven't specific problem, the direct surgical removal may be the primary choice for intracranial arachnoid cyst, especially in children with noncommunicating type in sylvian.
