Résumé

Objective: To compare l-Borneolum, Borneolum, Borneolum Syntheticum, Styrax, and Benzoinum for regulating the physiological index of node and strength in a rat model of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced fever in parallel based on the overall concept of tradition Chinese medicine (TCM) and the idea of dynamic view. Methods: The influence of resuscitation inducing aromatic herbs on rats with normal activities of body temperature (T), heart rate (HR), blood pressure (SBP and DBP), activity (A), and other physiological parameters were dynamically monitored by DSI implantable physiological signal telemetry technology. The data were processed and mapped by SPSS 17.0, SAS 9.2, and OriginPro 8.5. Results: Three kinds of borneol showed inhibitory effect on T and HR of model rats, and l-Borneolum had the optimal inhibitory effect; Styrax showed the excitation-inhibition trend on HR, SBP, DBP, and A of model rats; Benzoinum had no obvious effect on each index. The results of principal component analysis showed that Borneolum and Styrax had the same orientation in model rats; Borneolum Syntheticum could simultaneously affect A, SBP, and DBP. Cluster analysis and correspondence analysis showed that characteristics of three kinds of borneol can be classified as the same kind; Benzoinum and Styrax had their own affect rules. Conclusion: The three kinds of drugs have inhibitory effect on each physiological index; Styrax has the excitation-inhibition trend, which is related to the previous understanding of its time-window; Benzoinum has no effect on model rats, which is related to its evenness. The future research can be expanded on the mechanism of resuscitation drugs on rats with LPS-induced fever.

Résumé

Objective To explore the significance of the Self -assessments of Voice Handicap Index (VHI) and The objective detection of Dysphonia Severity Index (DSI) in polyp of vocal cord perioperatively .Methods The Self -assessments of VHI had been completed in 28 patients with polyp of vocal cord before the operation and one week after the operation ,including function(F) ,physiological(P) ,emotion(E) ,and the sum denoted by T .In the meantime ,The DSI had been completed in these patients by acoustic analysis of DIVAS 2 .5 .After one month ,19 pa-tients had been re -examined .Results The DSI value was increasing ,but there was no significant difference be-tween pre-operation and one week after the operation(P>0 .05) ,indicating that the function of vocal cord was not recovered .In VHI scale ,the parameters were significantly different between the time preoperatively and one week postoperatively in F ,E and T(P0 .05) ,indicating that the function of vocal cord was not completely recovered as same as the result of DSI .After one month ,there were significant differences in DSI and VHI ,which showed a full recovery of vocal cord fanction .Conclusion The Self -assessments of VHI and The objective detection of DSI in polyp of vocal cord can evaluate simultaneouly the function of laryngeal .Additionally ,there was a good correlation between the DSI and the VHI score .

Résumé

Objective To explore the characters of non-professional drivers' stress. Methods Two hundred and sixty-four non-professional drivers in Chengdu city were randomly investigated by Driver Stress Inventory(DSI). One hundred and five professional drivers were as control group. Results ①Compared with professional drivers,non-professional drivers scored higher in thrill seeking, cognitive fatigue and aggression (non-professional drivers :4.63±1.49,5.12±1.56,5.65±1.42; professional drivers: 3.60 ± 2.04,3.97 ± 2.02,4.56 ±1.84, P < 0.01 ) ,and lower in hazard monitoring, driving anxiety and physiological fatigue (non-professional drivers:7.04±1.48,6.44±1.50,5.78±1.75; professional drivers:7.89 ± 1.45,6.99 ± 1.28,6.45 ± 2.37, P <0.01 ). ②Non-professional drivers' stress had significant differences in gender, age, marital state and driving experiences (P<0.05). The male drivers scored higher in thrill seeking, aggression and physiological fatigue (male:4.79±1.53,6.78±1.46,5.94 ± 1.80; female:4.32±1.37,5.80±1.37,5.50 ± 1.61, P < 0.05 ). Compared with other age driver groups, the 20 ~29 driver group scored higher in cognitive fatigue (5.44 ± 1.38 ), and lower in hazard monitoring(6.77±1.44) ,driving anxiety (6.03 ±1.46). Compared with unmarried drivers, married non-professional drivers scored higher in hazard monitoring and driving anxiety ,and lower in cognitive fatigue( married drivers:7.23±1.43,6.65±1.48,4.88±1.6; unmarried drivers :6.77±1.47,6.06±1.43,5.59±1.36, P <0.05 ). The non-professional drivers who drove more than 20 thousand kilometers scored higher in driving anxiety (6.89±1.41). Conclusion The non-professional drivers' stress isn' t optimistic, and influenced by their gender, age, marital state and driving experiences. Stress management should pay attention to them.

Résumé

Aim To observe the effects of pituitrin ad- ministrated intravenously on electrocardiogram (ECG), and the effects of taurine on the ECG changes induced by pituitrin in conscious unrestrained rats. Methods ECG(leadⅡ)was recorded telemetrically and analyzed with Data Science International (DSI, USA); the changes of the ECG T wave and the heart rate at different times after the intravenous(iv) injection of pituitrin with or without intraperitoneal (ip) pre-administration of taurine were observed and calculated. Results ① Pituitrin 0.25~4.0 U?kg -1 dose-dependently elevated the ECG T wave; the T wave values were increased 0.75~3.42 times over the values before pituitrin, and the maximal effect appeared at 15 s after the injection. ② TAU 100, 200 or 400 mg?kg -1,injected intraperitoneally 30 min before the pituitrin, inhibited the T wave elevation and heart rate decrease induced by intravenous injection of pituitrin; compared with NS+pituitrin group, T wave elevation(mV) was decreased from 1.77?0.165 to 1.60?0.13(P

Résumé

OBJECTIVES: To develope Korean version of Daily Stress Inventory(DSI) designed to assess prospectively the sources and magnitude of minor stressful events, the authors translated it into Korean and examined its reliability and validity. METHODS: The translated DSI was distributed to 200 collegians and 150 clericals. In order to test the validity, the previously qualified 'Major Life Event(MLE)' questionnaire was given concurrently. The materials were collected fiom 120 persons, and were analyzed by application of simple statistics of DSI scores, Wilcoxon's rank-sum test for differences of those according to demographic valiables, internal consistency for reliability, and Spearma's correlation coefficient for concurrent validity. RESULTS: 1) The distributions of scores of daily event, daily impact, weekly event and weekly impact were all showed as having a positive skew. But the distributions of daily and weekly 1/E ratio were approximately normal. 2) All daily and weekly DSI scores showed no significant differences by sex. There were significant differences in daily or weekly event and impact scores but insignificant differences in daily or weekly 1/E ratio according to age and education level. By occupation, all daily and weekly DSI scores except daily 1/E ratio showed significant differences. 3) Daily and weekly DSI scores were significantly higher in collegians than in clericals, and the cluster, showing the most marked difference between the two group was 'personal competency'. 4) In the reliability test by internal consistency, the Cronbach's alpha coeffecients of the event score and the impact score were repectively 0.98 and 0.97. 5) In the concurrent validity between DSI and MLE, DSI scores were more highly correlated with negative life events with positive life events. CONCLUSIONS: With the above results, the authors concluded that Korean version of DSI was a reliable and valid tool for assessing minor stress experienced frequently in daily life level. But its scores should be interpreted differently according to collegian or not.
