Résumé

A questão ambiental é um campo de grande importância na atualidade, principalmente no que tange aos estudos sobre valores pró-ambientais. Uma interação normalmente investigada consiste na relação entre conexão com a natureza e locus de controle, especialmente considerando a crença por parte do indivíduo de que suas ações sejam importantes para a conservação do meio ambiente. Participaram do estudo 898 estudantes universitários, sendo 452 (49,8%) homens, 456 (50,2%) mulheres de idade média, de 28,87 (DP=8,90) anos, do estado do Rio de Janeiro. Para fins de validade interna, foram empregados procedimentos de análise fatorial. A escala foi analisada também junto à medida de conexão com a natureza, para oferecer uma evidência inicial de validade concorrente. Conexão com a natureza foi mensurada por meio da escala proposta por Mayer e Frantz (2004). A Escala de Locus de Controle da Preservação Ambiental foi desenvolvida neste estudo. Considerando os resultados obtidos, é possível afirmar uma qualidade satisfatória da medida desenvolvida.


The environmental issue is a field of great importance today, especially with regard to studies on pro-environmental values. A commonly investigated interaction is the relationship between connection with nature and locus of control, especially considering the individuals' beliefs that their actions are important for the conservation of the environment. The study included 898 university students, which 452 (49.8%) were men, 456 (50.2%) were women of average age, of 28.87 (SD = 8.90) years old, from the state of Rio de Janeiro. For purposes of internal validity, factor analysis procedures were used. The scale was also analyzed together with the measure of connection with nature, to offer initial evidence of concurrent validity. Connection with nature was measured using the scale proposed by Mayer and Frantz (2004). The Locus Scale for Environmental Preservation Control was developed in this study. Considering the results obtained, it is possible to affirm a satisfactory quality of the measure developed.

Résumé

Por ser uma prática que vem ganhando muitos adeptos, a escalada segue se destacando e se tornando objeto de estudos acadêmicos na área de Educação Física. O objetivo do estudo é investigar a construção de valores ambientais a partir das experiências através da prática da escalada ao ar livre. Este estudo tem natureza qualitativa, descritiva e transversal. A amostra foi composta por dezesseis sujeitos com idades entre 20 e 40 anos. As variáveis investigadas foram analisadas por um questionário online, com questões sobre a construção de valores ambientais que a prática da escalada pode proporcionar. Os dados foram analisados de forma qualitativa através de análise de conteúdo e apresentados através de gráficos e tabelas comparativas. Concluiu-se nesta pesquisa que existe um satisfatório desenvolvimento de construção de valores ambientais através da prática da escalada, em especial com mudanças nas relações e atitudes diante da natureza, além da promoção de valores sociais, culturais, psicológicos e cognitivos na vida cotidiana dos praticantes.


As a practice that has been gaining many followers, Climbing continues standing out and becoming the object of academic studies in the area of Physical Education. The aim of this study is to investigate the development of environmental from the experiences through the practice of Climbing. This study carried out has a qualitative, descriptive and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of sixteen participants aged from 20 to 40 years old. The variables investigated were analyzed by an online questionnaire with questions about the development of environmental values Climbing practices can offer. The data were analyzed by a qualitative format through the contente analysis and presented by comparative charts and tables. The research identified the relationship between Climbing and the development of values. It was possible to conclude that exists a satisfactory development of environmental values through Climbing practice, specially with changes in the relations and attitudes in the face of the nature, besides the promotion of social, cultural, psychological and cognitive values in the daily life of the practitioners.

RESUMEN Se fundamenta la concepción teórica general de la educación axiológica en el contexto del sistema de enseñanza de postgrado para la formación de educadores ambientales. Se aplicaron los métodos del nivel teórico analítico-sintético, inductivo-deductivo, histórico-lógico y ascensión de lo abstracto a lo concreto, con la intención de sistematizar información proveniente de la bibliografía consultada y de la experiencia profesional de los autores. Se defiende la idea de considerar la existencia de una dimensión ambiental de valores universales, en lugar de hacer referencia a valores estrictamente ambientales. Se enfatiza en la importancia que, para la educación, adquiere la estimulación de la actividad valorativa del sujeto, a partir de una noción precisa del sistema de virtudes y fortalezas del carácter. Se identifican cinco valores básicos a desarrollar en el educador ambiental (la sensibilidad, la tolerancia, la lealtad solidaria, la responsabilidad, la participación cooperativa y la dignidad), para asegurar, desde el punto de vista axiológico, su desempeño en la preparación de diferentes sectores sociales y consolidar la necesaria contribución de los mismos a la sostenibilidad ecológica.


ABSTRACT In this paper a general theoretical conception of axiological education is systematized in the context of the postgraduate educational system in the training of environmental educators. Methods of the theoretic level (analytical-synthetical, inductive-deductive, historic-logician and ascension from abstractness to concrete) to systematize information obtained from the bibliography and from the vocational experience of the author. The category value is analyzed aimed at using it unilaterally from the environmental perspective and it is concluded that it is much more objective, from the theoretical point of view, to assume the existence of an environmental dimension of universal values ​​rather than of strictly environmental values. It emphasizes on the importance of the stimulation of the person's valuating activity for education, from a precise notion of the system of virtues and character strengths. Five basic values are identified ​​ (sensitivity, tolerance, solidarity loyalty, responsibility, cooperative participation and dignity) to be developed in an environmental educator to ensure, from the axiological point of view, his performance in the preparation of different social sectors to strengthen their necessary contribution to ecological sustainability.

OBJECTIVES: This study examined variations in the perceptions of dioxin risk among social groups defined by geographical living location, environmental education, and occupation. Dioxin risk perceptions were analyzed according to values, risk awareness, knowledge, and behavioral preferences. METHODS: A quasi-experimental survey was designed and conducted on individuals from seven experimental groups in Jeonju city, South Korea, including: people living near incineration facilities; people living far from incineration facilities; governmental experts; nongovernmental organization members; office workers in developmental institutes or banks; students who were enrolled in environmental-related classes; and students who were enrolled in business-related classes. RESULTS: The results show variations among groups in values, awareness and behavioral preferences. Particular attention should be given to the result that groups with higher connectedness- to-nature values show higher willingness-to-act (WTA) for risk reduction. Result s can be summarized as follows. First, awareness is associated with one's geographical setting. Second, values and WTA behaviors are related to one's environmental-related education and occupation. Third, values are significantly related to WTA behaviors. CONCLUSIONS: Different cultures, in terms of values or worldview, among groups influence their perceptions of dioxin risk and choices of risk reduction behaviors. It is important to consider values in communicating complicated long-term risk management involving public participation. Further research should be continuously conducted on the effects of multiple dimensions of values on one's WTA for risk reduction behaviors.

La Conciencia ambiental en México es un tema de gran relevancia ya que las alteraciones de hoy en día sobre el medio ambiente son principalmente por actividades antropogénicas ya sea por el desarrollo industrial, consumismo, la contaminación, residuos sólidos, etc., por lo que es de gran importancia lograr un equilibrio entre la naturaleza - hombre y para alcanzar este equilibrio es necesario la educación ambiental la cual permite emplear diferentes estrategias para lograr generar sentimientos, desarrollar conciencia ambiental y evidenciar la necesidad de elaborar nuevos valores a partir de las experiencias directas. Por lo que la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la Conciencia Ambiental de los habitantes de la colonia Emilio Portes Gil en la H. Matamoros (Tamaulipas) mediante el instrumento llamado Cuestionario de Actitudes Ambientales (CAAM) de Núevalos a una población de 50 habitantes conformada con 52% de mujeres y el 48% de hombres en un rango de edad entre los 20 a 31 años, obteniéndose una conciencia ambiental muy parecida con un 32% y 30% tanto del sexo femenino como del masculino respectivamente.


Environmental awareness in Mexico is a very important issue since today's alterations on the environment are basically produced by anthropogenic activities either because of industrial development, consumerism, pollution, solid waste, etc.., reason why it is very important to achieve a balance between nature and man and, in order to achieve this balance, environmental education which can employ different strategies for generating feelings, developing environmental awareness and highlighting the need to develop new values from direct experiences is necessary. For this reason, this investigation has as its main objective the assessment of Emilio Portes Gil Colonia in H. Matamoros (Tamaulipas) inhabitants' Environmental Awareness, using Nuévalos' instrument called Environmental Attitudes Questionnaire (CAAM) to a population of 50 inhabitants conformed by 52% women and 48% men in an age range between 20 to 31 years, yielding a very similar environmental awareness with 32% and 30% of both the male and the female respectively.

Este artículo es resultado de una investigación que tuvo como propósito sensibilizar mediante estrategias de educación ambiental, a estudiantes de educación media, aledaños al Páramo de Rabanal, en Samacá (Boyacá), sobre la importancia de preservar el ecosistema páramo. La metodología se implementó siguiendo los criterios de la investigación acción, en la que se implementaron estrategias como mapas cognoscitivos, para la identificación del conocimiento espacial; sensibilización ambiental, mediante ejercicios de desarrollo sensorial; uso de metáforas, para conferir estructura y significado a la realidad; además de experiencias de interacción con el medio ambiente como proceso de conexión con el ecosistema. Se encontró que el conocimiento de los estudiantes sobre su ecosistema páramo es mínimo en cuanto a fuentes hídricas, flora, fauna e interacción ejercida desde los habitantes; mediante la implementación de experiencias sensoriales, salidas de campo y el uso de la metáfora, se logró sensibilizar a los participantes en favor de la protección y mejora del medio ambiente, fortaleciendo sus conocimientos, habilidades y destrezas necesarias para construir valores encaminados a modificar sus patrones de comportamiento. Se concluyó que la utilización de todos los sentidos en espacios accesibles, amplía las alternativas de exploración y acerca a los estudiantes al contexto real circundante, más allá del conocimiento formal. No es suficiente tener conocimiento sobre los problemas ambientales; se obtienen mejores resultados con acciones desarrolladas en la práctica.


This article is the result of a research aimed to, , raise awareness in high school students living near the Rabanal Moor, Samacá (Boyacá), through environmental education strategies, on the importance of preserving the moor ecosystem. The methodology was implemented following the action research criteria, in which the following strategies were carried out: cognitive maps, for the identification of spatial knowledge; environmental awareness through sensory development exercises; metaphors to give structure and meaning to reality; interaction experiences considering the environment as a connection process with the ecosystem. We found that the knowledge students have about the moor ecosystem is minimal in regard to water resources, flora, fauna and interaction exerted from the inhabitants. Through the implementation of sensory experiences, field trips and the use of metaphor, we managed to sensitize the participants in favor of the environment protection and improvement strengthening their needed knowledge, abilities and skills to build values to modify their behavior patterns. It was concluded that the use of all the senses in accessible spaces, expands the exploration alternatives and brings students to the surrounding real context beyond formal knowledge. It is not enough to have knowledge of environmental problems; best results are obtained with actions in practice.
