The tumor is a kind of age-related chronic diseases. Nearly 60% tumors appear in 65 years or older.With the growth of elderly population and worsen of environment.There is an upward trend in elderly patients with tumor. Most of patients with tumor, their subsequent treatment, rehabilitation or end-stage care outside the hospital.Rely on the community′s long-term rehabilitation services at home. However,due to various factors,limit the elderly patients with physical and mental needs.Unmet effective needs. This paper is based on extensive researching and reading lots of literature, to summarize and analyze the rehabilitation services between the elderly patients with tumor at the present stage,in order to attract attention to community elderly patients with tumor at home,further improve the service system and quality of life for the elderly patient with tumor.

Graças à melhoria global das condições de saúde e de vida, a população mundial está envelhecendo. Aproximadamente 60% da incidência de câncer ocorre em adultos de 65 anos ou mais. O câncer é um importante problema de saúde na população idosa. Oncologia geriátrica é definido pela abordagem multidimensional e multidisciplinar dos idosos portadores de câncer. A avaliação geriátrica ampla (AGA) foi desenvolvida para avaliar individualmente o estado de saúde dos pacientes idosos e é a ferramenta mais adequada para detectar os problemas funcionais nestes pacientes. O objetivo deste estudo, através de uma revisão da literatura, foi analisar o impacto da AGA em pacientes idosos com câncer. Resultados: A AGA pode detectar vários problemas sub ou não diagnosticados em pacientes com câncer. Alguns estudos sugerem que os critérios utilizados pela AGA são preditores de morbidade e mortalidade e podem influenciar as decisões do tratamento oncológico, tendo um impacto positivo no prognóstico dos pacientes com esta doença. Conclusões: Avaliação geriátrica ampla é um importante instrumento que pode ajudar a definir o prognóstico e influenciar na decisão e resultado do tratamento do idoso com câncer.

This review summarizes 11 major clinical research advances in gynecologic oncology in 2010. For ovarian cancer, bevacizumab as a leading molecular targeted agent, pegylated liposomal doxorubicin in recurrent disease, the role of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in an advanced setting, an effective screening method, and ARID1A mutations as a clue to the origin of clear cell carcinoma are mentioned. For cervical cancer, confirmation of the efficacy and the introduction of a self collection method of the human papillomavirus (HPV) test, and the association between the HPV vaccine and miscarriage are examined. For endometrial cancer, the superiority of laparoscopy in staging operation, the role of vaginal brachytherapy in an adjuvant setting, and the effect of para-aortic lymph node dissection are reviewed. In addition, the trend of geriatric oncology and chemotherapy in carcinosarcomas is also assessed.

Thanks to the global improvement of health care and living conditions, the world population is aging. Already, in developed countries half of the cancers occur in patients aged 70 and older. In booming Asian nations, such as South Korea, the aging trend is particularly striking, and therefore geriatric oncology is rapidly coming at the foreground of oncology practice. As older patients have a very variable health status, the need for proper integration of an oncologic and a geriatric approach has become increasingly clear. The last two decades have seen the development of geriatric oncology programs and research, which we review here. An increasing amount of data is making clear that a geriatric assessment identifies many problems in older people with cancer, adds prognostic information, and might improve the outcomes of these patients. The near future will likely deliver the following: Operationalization of geriatric assessment into assessment and decision tools, as well as multidisciplinary interventions, in oncology; cooperation of aging and cancer research in the understanding of cancer biology, aging physiology, pharmacology of anticancer drugs; improved clinical study designs; development of geriatric oncology programs, and screening tools accessible to the private practitioner.
